I don't like that they changed the onion rings from flaky to smooth. But chicken sandwiches are good but no tarter sauce.

I really really like this place a lot it's a hole-in-the-wall it's in the hood this one location anyway my homeboy and I get took me there we were going to do barbecue but they were closed and so we decide to do fish
Everything it was worth the wait I'll tell you everything was piping-hot I'm not getting any it was hot in there to begin with this poor woman all she has is a giant fan and no AC and it was boiling in there with the fan oh but this woman she knew her stuff and it was worth the way I mean I couldn't even eat the flies for like 5 minutes cuz it was so hot but that's perfect though and the fish right on point the onion rings were amazing it was the right level of unhealthy Grease however it wouldn't be the same without a certain amount of real you know oil that flavors I know we have all this healthy stuff but when you go to a place like that or get healthy people that go in there and try to order a Caesar salad and Amanda is just ridiculous know you're going there for the grease and the deep fry and the amazing freaking food that it was
Well I didn't order for myself, I ordered for Mama Lydia cause I know she loves Fred Fish I wanted to surprise her , I went to the one on Culebra close to St Mary's San Antonio, Tx
You cannot pass up the Fred’s Fish Fry on Culebra Road they always have good food
I love this place!!! I know people think it’s a drug front/money laundering scam but, honestly I don’t care!! I love those fish patties!! Something about it takes me back! Buuuuuuut the last time I went my onion rings were old and cold. But ehh that’s not that big of an issue. The lady that’s took my order was nice and friendly tho!

I happen to be washing my car next door to this establishment so I went to grab a quick bite to eat a fish sandwich n onion rings first of all the gentleman that was there did not get his name older white man was so nice attentive n helpful not to mention the fish sandwich was delicious n so was the onion rings now the other young Mexican guy was to busy on his phone other than that I recommend this place.

Was good they messed up on my order. I called and addressed the problem and Ms step was great. We are all human and we all make mistakes it's how people choose to respond is what makes a bad experience. I will definitely go back and hopefully Ms Stephanie is there so she can take my order ✌️

I live in Balcones Heights and I used to go to the Fred's Fish on Bandera Rd. I quit going there because they were very stingy with their condiments like lemon,ketchup, and mayonnaise so I. So I quit going there and change over to the one on Culebra close to St.Mary University, So got on the phone to call my order the Seafood Platter #1,when I enter the store one lady said(outloud quote)That is my customer from the place I used to work(the Fred's on Bamdera Rd.) So she asked me what was doing there knowing it's a far distance from the one on Bandera so I told her the truth, I told her that I quit going there because of the service was to
stingy with their service, so when
I got home I realize that it was not her being stingy, because when I got home she served me with good service and all condiments required. It was not her because I made my order by phone.I have patronize Fred's Fish for many years.And always will, But I also like and demand good service I'm also an adequate
tipper, Thank You.
It was all good ...kind of hidden next to a car wash if you blink you may miss is .. all the employees where helpful especially the cook. Thank you gals God bless hope business gets better.
Other locations are better. Step it up y'all.
