I grew up in this area and I visit this place every chance I get. Best fried fish and rice made with saffron. You never know who your going to see, parish priest, lawyers, tats and somebody selling something. "Alls good in the hood". Culture and home grown charm.

True salvadoran flavor! They also have Mexican, fried yucca, platos tipicos, riguas, etc. It's so delicious!!! Closed Wednesdays and expect to wait but it's well worth it.

I Arrived looking for Ceviche and Fried Fish and Discovered Papusas. Clean, friendly and a Surprise. I came to this restaurant after I saw that Trans Am Razz had been positive about this place. I was looking for some fried fish and some ceviche but I saw that people were eating papusas with cabbage and bits of carrots that came from a container on their respective tables. This, and the prominent Salvadoran flags in the place told me that I wasn't at the usual seafood place. I ate the papusas with the interesting sides as well as had a Salvadoran beer. It was wonderful. A surprise of flavors. On another subsequent visit I had fish with garlic, olives and onions on top with I believe a drizzle of olive oil. Heaven. I liked that they had security outside the place for our sense of security, but none seemed necessary.

We never even knew it was there, but had to be in the area, and so glad we gave it a try. You get generous portions at a reasonable price, and it tastes great. It is not fancy, but we will definitely go back.

Food was good and the portions were good. The service was sparse, brought our food and the bill at the same time, and that was the last time our waitress checked on us. Plus the food was served on glass plates but you were given a plastic fork for your only utensil. At least provide a plastic knife.

Seafood and more served hot and fresh. Unlike other restaurants the shrimp cocktail is served with fresh shrimp not frozen. It was great. I also ordered the fried shrimp plate which comes with fries. It seemed like the fries were also battered a little. It was different but in a good way. Sweet tea was also good. Service was great. We will be back.

Good seafood with a definite Mexican (Mariscos) flair. The decor, wall murals and food (along with wait staff talking in Spanish) reminded me of eating in a seaside town in Mexico. They have solid fare. Good food and pretty inexpensive for seafood. Off the beaten path on San Antonio's west side, but definitely worth a try when you're missing the seafood dives of Cabo or Cancun!
