Out and about with esposa today and wanted to try something new and different. Thanks Yelp app for finding this hidden gem! Believe the 4.6-star average rating! Ambiance is very casual and the staff are laid back, yet attentive. On first walking in it didn't look that great. However, walking, strolling, or crawling by the amazing lineup of food at the buffet (yeah man, I said buffet!) was enough to sell us. We didn't even wait for our drinks to hit the table and we began the process of lining up for food heaven. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING was fresh, tasty, and very flavorful. Oh and spicy (pleasure mixed with pain). Each dish stood out on its own and made a statement. The goat curry was truly unique. I defy you to compare this food blindfolded to menu food elsewhere and not be impressed. We arrived shortly after 11:15 and as noon approached, the local lunch crowd began to saunter in. The clientele included a good portion of people who appeared to be of Indian or Pakistani background, which lends authenticity to the food. While we generally avoid and run from the desserts at buffets, again Cafe Bahar won us over with its yummy Kheer and other offerings. Prices are reasonable. The staff are super friendly and even asked if the business could "friend request" me on Facebook; my response was a knee-jerk heck yes. Esposa and I will certainly return here many, many, many times. Yowsa!
BEST indian food in satx hands down. Their customer service is lacking from time to time. Fair Trade? your call. Great selection of south indian cuisine. I go here at least once a month and now judge all other indian restaurants by this place. Highly Recommended :)
Absolutely delicious!! I would rate it higher if I could.
Great food; buffet; lots of south Indian cuisine! Great price!
Fresh and delicious India buffet ever. So much variety of the dishes, mouth watering nan and dosa. Can't wait to visit again.
Great job Cafe Bahar tem
Great buffet! Everything was excellent, and there is a great variety, including some dishes not often seen in the typical Indian buffet. The atmosphere is very family oriented and there is usually cricket on the telly.
I love this place, and the food is so good, me encanta este lugar y la comida deliciosa..!!
Amazing Food!! If you love hyderabadi food you can't miss this place.

From outside it may not look fancy but inside decor & ambience is really nice, bright. Buffet Food ($13on weekend) is spicy and tasty - true taste of Indian food(not like other overrated places). We mainly liked the starters. Maincourse was ok (didnt like the Naan) and Desserts were also ok. They also serve Dosas in buffet (you just have to ask for it). Servers were really nice and very friendly. We will be back soon !
Most authentic Indian/Pakistani food I’ve had in all of San Antonio thus far! I will say it seems like I can’t get a cup of water refilled sometimes but food is great be careful if you can’t handle spicy food just add yogurt like I do to balance it to what you can tolerate or for flavor.

Went for the dinner buffet as a first time test to see if I even like Indian food.
The staff was extremely helpful in explaining their menu, what they had to offer, what went well with what, as well as offering things for us to try.
The food was spectacular, SPICY, but, spectacular.
I will definitely be back.
Liked the taste, ambiance, staffs. The food is quite spicy as I like. A must go place.
Lunch buffet is great, might be slightly overwhelming if you are new to Indian food but the staff are friendly and answered any questions. Lots of different dishes to try, everything I tried was good. Lunch time was pretty busy but worth it. Had several dishes I was familiar with and several I wasn't. Good news is the lunch buffet style is a great way to try something new! Definitely glad I found this place.
