We had a private dinner at Meze in a private are and it was amazing.
One of the best Greek food I’ve ever eaten. We had the chance to try most of the menu from hummus, tzatziki to salmon and baklava.
Everything was super tasty, hit the spot especially the dessert.
Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice plan to enjoy dinner with a great staff in a well decorated restaurant.
Brought my Armenian family for a feast in the Lava room. Got the lamb chops, grilled salmon and chicken kabob with lemon zest rice/zucchini. Baklava was ok but tasted store bought. Excellent food and experience.
A very unexpected surprise eating at this place. While they have a lot of traditional Greek fare, their fusion dishes are what you want to try. They are vegetarian friendly and I tried the quesadillas and their tacos. Yes you read that right. Both were incredibly delicious. The highlight was their bar, where they made the best Old Fashioned's that I've had.
Wow! Came here for a work dinner and the food was delicious. Highly recommend grabbing one of their recommended cocktails and enjoying the kabobs.
Plus the service is awesome. They went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and even celebrate one of our fantastic employees.
Food was good, though the rice was a little dry in my gyro platter. But the saganaki was really good and a great shareable with a fun pyro performance! Our server was great and they were willing to work with us for separate bills.
Service was great. Very friendly staff.
I only had one salad so hard to judge the overall food concept. Environment could have a little bit more light. Overall satisfied with the experience.
I thought the salad is very heavy on cheese and walnuts. If you like that, great. I would opt for more leaves and asparagus.
Stop in here after my float therapy. Food was great love this white sauce . One day I will remember what the name is. Had the chicken kabobs with rice and mixed zucchini vegetables. It was pretty early in the day so not that many people in restaurant. Would definitely go back !!!
Excellent dinner with excellent service. Our waitress was great but left so our new waitress was equally pleasant. Recommend this restaurant.
Wonderful experience! The wait staff was great and the food came out quickly even though we had a table of 10. The cold appetizer plate was amazing and had enough to share with everyone. I got the combo souvlaki which has chicken, filet mignon, lamb and shrimp. It was phenomenal. The baklava cheesecake was good but I didn’t love it, but I think it was just because it wasn’t my preference but the quality was still great. I will be dreaming of this meal until the next time I’m in San Diego
A group of 13 of us came here for my bachelorette. I made my reservation with Patrick and he was super helpful and communicative while choosing menus and securing our date and time. They put us in private dining room with a super fun atmosphere. The waiter the night of was so kind the entire night, ensuring that we liked the drinks we ordered. Food was delicious, portions are big, and everyone in my group loved it.
We walked past this place during the day and couldn’t resist coming back for dinner…it was absolutely the perfect choice for our party of 12! They had a variety of food which fit a variety of taste pallets, vegetarian, and gluten free needs. Tons of options for evening from drinks, to dinner, to dessert! They even had a private room which accommodated our group perfectly and a very attentive wait staff. I would 100% go back and have already recommended it to others visiting the Gaslamp District. Definitely order a dish served on fire…try the Greek-a-mole, and the baklava cheesecake! 🔥
The restaurant is in the middle of downtown Gaslamp district. I came here for a business meeting plus the restaurant was across the street from my hotel. The atmosphere is a laid back vibe and cool ambience. I tried the saganaki and it was delicious. The bread was moist and the cheese was sharp with just a hint of lemon. I also had the falafel plate hands down one the best falafels I’ve ever had. Delicious. I definitely will be coming back👍🏾
Centrally-located within the city's touristy Gaslamp district, this Mediterranean-style food is absolutely yummy. The portions are large. Happy hour has decent prices on drinks. Parking is hard to find.
Easily my favorite Greek restaurant in San Diego is Meze. The food is always solid, the atmosphere is great, on the right night you’ll catch fire dancers and a Magician! This place is a vibe. My go to is the chicken souvlaki plate, but I’ve had almost everything and it’s all bomb. The owner, Patrick, always gives solid recs if you aren’t sure what to get. The tacos are surprisingly good too! Valerie was my server and she was great! Quick, friendly, and a great attitude! They have great, great hot sauce. You have to try it! Love Meze and can’t wait to come back! Opa!
Great full service greek food. They have some super interesting drinks and a good wine list. My only gripe is they keep the music pretty loud so probably not great for groups larger than 4. But it was a Saturday night and they had a performer dancing through the restaurant as well, so maybe weeknights are better.
The tomato basil and regular hummus is fantastic. Definitely a good starter.
The cilantro jalapeño is heavy on the cilantro and light on the jalapeno, reminiscent of guacamole, the other 2 are just so much better that I wouldn’t order that one again.
Gyro plate was excellent. Big thick pieces of gyro with fantastic flavor. The tzatziki is a little reminiscent of blue cheese, but it goes well with the gyro. It was a lot of food, I might do the appetizer version next time.
Also got to try a lamb shank which was fantastic and a piece of chicken off of the combo plate which was pretty dry sadly.
Overall a little pricey, but good for clients or a nice night out.
Food was delicious! Giving 4 stars because my burger was a lil raw in the middle. Didn’t notice it until I had already taken a bite 🤢
Otherwise atmosphere was fantastic and what we ordered was wonderful. I didn’t get sick from the raw burger meat so that’s a win in my book.
