Overall, this restaurant is worth visiting! The rainbow roll and lobster roll was about $70 together, which is relatively pricey but the quality of food, service, and atmosphere made it worth it. Being right by the beach, the vibes of the place were great! I would recommend visiting when the weather is right, as there is not much indoor seating options. For the food itself, the quality was amazing, but for what it was it was still pretty pricey. $40 for the lobster roll is only justifiable to have once. The flavor of the lobster was not too prominent, as the fried tempura flavor and the sauce were more overpowering. It was still tasty though
Beautiful ocean view. Staff on point and very attentive. I ordered a crab spinach dip, and it was fabulous. I had 1 beer also.
The only downside is the price. Almost 40 bucks. But on the upside it is very peaceful and beautiful. The ocean in front.
Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday birthday so we came for early dinner (4pm). There was already a wait and the restaurant is full. There's 7 of us in our group and we preferred to sit outside where you see the ocean. Wonderful view!
I always get rainbow roll anywhere I go so I can sample all their seafood and theirs did not disappoint. The rice did not crumble, the tuna and salmon were tasty. We also had some cocktails and they're all good. Our server was very attentive. He comes back often to check on us and see if we need refills for water.
Location location location!! Beautiful view and very good sushi!! Came here during sunset Thursday and their was live music which was really nice.. we ordered a few rolls and they were all so yummy
Went here twice, the first time the service was great, second time it was a bit slow. The bartender service (while waiting for a table) was fast and the bartenders were sociable and knowledgeable. The food was good both times. The second time it was windy and even under the heaters it was cold (over Memorial Day weekend). They were short staffed on Memorial Day so half the tables were empty but it was a thirty minute wait to be seated and service was slow. The food was fantastic. Sushi was fresh and they have gluten free options. The grilled shrimp salad was delicious. The view is pretty. The drinks were tasty and well made.
I ate upstairs with a backdrop of an amazing sunset. Took the waiter's suggestion of the oishi sushi roll which was just amazing. Great drinks. Great service, great food and a top notch Ocean view.
Michael our waiter was so wonderful, helped our little ones warm up with heaters, and was incredibly joyful to be around. Excellent service. The food was cooked perfectly and tasted great. We had sashimi along with the Cannonball burger. Highly recommend the mousse dessert light and filling. This is officially our new lunch spot to visit when spending the day at the Plunge or the beach.
This place is a vibe. Rooftop sushi, with a view of the ocean, at a relatively fair price given everything it offers, you really can’t complain. The sushi was all very good, I actually liked the sushi burrito for most. Everything tasted fresh, and was enjoyable. I wouldn’t say that it’s the best sushi in SD, but it’s definitely as much about the food as it is about the experience. The food all arrived at a timely manner and our waiter was very nice too. Definitely would recommend!
Fantastic spot in the most ideal location in San Diego. I went with family and it was awesome. The staff was friendly, courteous, and prompt. The food and sushi was outstanding. The dessert was kinda weird but it tasted good (the only sub perfect menu item). I highly recommend this place for ocean views and great food.
We were 6 people and everyone liked their food. My friends ordered the burger and I ordered the steak and shrimp plate. Steak was tender and shrimps were seasoned.
We found the wings sauce a little too sweet but other than that the food was good.
The place has nice views, lounges and heaters. Cool place to hang out overall.
This is my new favorite restaurant. The food is 100/10, the vibe & view is beautiful, drinks are refreshing & staff is kind. I love it here so much!!! Calamari, Crab dip, & tatsu roll are my go to!!
Incredible view. Service was great, quick and very friendly. Food was all really good and we got a variety and shared. Prices are a little high but worth it for the view & the cute atmosphere. Don't like they 5% surcharge to "increase employees to minimum wage"- just increase your prices or pay your people MORE than minimum wage. But we took care of our server. Great beers and apps, and our friend got great mocktails that were so fun. They serve real Wasabi with all the sashimi plates.

Sushi on a rooftop on the beach. You can’t beat it! Plus the sushi is so good, very fresh and the real curveball was the Poke bowl, it’s almost a civeche and it comes with some nice chips to dip in its very refreshing and light. The service was great and the drinks tasty as always! Bring a whole squad out here and have a time either in the sunshine over the water or at night when they bring the fire pits out to pregame a great night out! Love this spot! 😋
Cannonball is the place to go. Freshest sushi I’ve had, plated beautifully great for the gram pics! Server Austin was super attentive and great vibe. He recommended us the Calamari and Spicy Edamame, and the dishes didn’t disappoint. Definitely a new fav!!
Enjoyed the view and delicious sushi rolls. Lobster roll was 10 out of 10, one of my faves on the menu. We had bunch of drinks, the margarita really got us LIT. Also ordered “Midnight in Tokyo” : it’s basically an alcoholic tea. Pretty dope.

Rolls are beautiful. But I noticed that the wasabi presentation was inconsistent. First one was stamped, second one was a glob.
Chicken was delicious not too meaty, but hopefully because it's not full of hormones etc...
Elevator was out of service so that was tough with a stroller.
Very nice service. Couldn't have been happier with our hostess and server.
Had a great time, I only wish I came during the day to enjoy the view better ! My favorite roll was the Enfuego. Yum!
