Friendly bar staff in a beautiful setting makes this a top location in San Diego. Cheers with a view. Great appetizer. Local beer. Perfectly made drinks. They want all their customers to have a pleasant time. Ballast Point even makes a beer, Beacon No. 9, named after the government light house on top of the building, Light No. 9 on Nautical Charts. Try the calamari. Ask for my favorite, a rum old fashion.

We enjoyed the Easter brunch. Freshest scallops, lobster claws, oysters, and more. Our server Carlos was very attentive and very polite. The only downside, we had a reservation at 11:00, arrived before 11:00 and checked in but we didn’t get seated until around 11:40. They were very busy that day. Other than that, great food and service! Edwin

The food was good. I had the rib eye burger and it was as good as I expected. The service was fantastic. The view. Well what can one say about the beautiful view except it was amazing.

The view was gorgeous, the staff was fenominal, the food was delicious, but the only issue I had were the portions. I felt that the mussels and oysters were too small for the price.

Four of us came in for a family dinner and loved this place. We ordered soup, four different seafood plates, and a bottle of wine. This is the best seafood restaurant I have eaten at in San Diego! You also get beautiful views of the harbor, you see boats go by, and in our case, we had a full moon in the sky! We were too full to order dessert, but would love to come back for just drinks and dessert.

Came during happy hour and was pleasantly surprised! Amazing appetizers that were so filling. Fried oysters were yummy, and so much for 12 dollars. Tenderloin tips, so much on the plate it was so much for 16 bucks Honestly just a great place to come during sunset, so make sure to come a bit early to grab the tables on the patio -- we sat indoors at the bar and the umbrellas were in the way of the view. Great service, very friendly!

Came with some great friends and family for restaurant week. The food, service and atmosphere was top notch! Lobster bisque and a blackened salmon BLT for $22! You CANNOT beat that. It was delicious! Highly recommend!

This place is beautiful! The views are spectacular! The service was wonderful, drinks were perfect, and food was cooked to perfection. I got the fried snapper and the apple crumb cake to fulfill my sweet tooth. 10/10 would recommend. They have boat races every Wednesday. And we waited to watch the moon come over the city. It was an amazing experience. Make sure you make a reservation.

The food was delicious with plenty of flavor. I had the Paella and my wife has the Seared Rib. The service was excellent and attentive. The view during dinner overlooking the bay was relaxing. The bartender made me an excellent Manhattan too.

I'm not a seafood person, so wasn't sure what I would find, but I'm so glad I found the cauliflower and cheese board. Probably the best cauliflower I've ever had. The service was great and the view spectacular! Everyone I was with said their food was extraordinary!

One of the best spots to hang by the bay & people watch on the water. The Tenderloin Tips are always fantastic, the ‘Tiny Bubbles’ gin drink packed a punch & had great flavor. The paella is also wonderful, I always end up ordering it if i’m staying a bit longer. Great service & atmosphere. Love their happy hour (3-6pm). Would recommend getting there before 5pm to find seating in the bar area as it gets packed.

*happy hour review* I love those $1.50 oysters, so good! Also the padron peppers and the mussels (order extra bread) are worth getting for sure. The view is gorgeous.

The best food with the best view in San Diego can be found here. Enjoy top notch sea food while watching the boats sail across the dazzling skyline reflected on the bay. Whether you drop in for brunch or dinner, the dishes are always flavorful and cooked to perfection. Next time you’re planning a fancy meal out, I would highly recommend Tom Ham’s.

We had the best experience at this amazing restaurant. The Beer Braised Ribs melt in your mouth and the truffle mashed potatoes tasted like truffles. The Paella was excellent, plenty of seafood and fish. I know this sounds weird, but I had the Fontina Polenta instead of dessert. Trust me, it's the best Polenta I've had in my life, so creamy and perfectly seasoned. The view was the cherry on top of the cake. The restaurant has a dedicated parking lot, so you don't have to worry about finding parking. Everything was just perfect.
