Decided to just go have breakfast Va cooking it myself and what a great decision on a Sunday morning. Went out with my date and we had the chicken fried steaks and country fried steak with hash brown and or home fries as you can see in the picture I like hot sauce, lol. But overall great vibe and the food was amazing, finger licking, didn’t take long and best of all lots of parking available. Will share pictures.

Perry’s Cafe is in the heart of Old Towne San Diego, CA. Love this place. All time favorite breakfast spot in SD! If you are on travel and you would like an authentic 1950’s style dinner this is your place. They do have lunch items but I’ve only had the breakfast. French toast and pancakes are ENORMOUS!! Definitely enough to share with leftovers.

The food was ok. If I ever com back to SD, I'll try their pancake special. 🥞 🫐🍓🍒 Super cool 50s Googie diner. 👍

This is a typical American home-cooked restaurant. The service is friendly and the food is overall good. The ice americano is that it is too soft and the taste is not good. If you order a different drink, you can eat better food. I think muffin is made by themselves and the muffin is not too sweet and it is delicious.

I just about forgot I was in California. I'm from NC....For a split second. Aside from being a little bit loud. There was a great atmosphere. Wonderful food. Plus the staff was kind and attentive.

This was my first time dinning at Perry's. My first impression, even before arriving, is the size of their parking lot. A quick look on Google Maps in the satellite view will reveal the parking. I was in my full size, extended cab pickup. Parking was a breeze... Inside, I took a spot at the counter. The receptionist quickly asked in a friendly manner with a smile if I wanted somthing to drink . The Decaf coffee was good, black, without creamer/add-ins. A bit pricey at $3.75. However, my server Angie, kept my cup full without my having to ask. She, and the entire staff are friendly and cordial with customers and each other. I ordered Biscuits & Gravy with scrambled eggs on top. When I was a kid in the mid-west this was "Country Scrambled." Even though it's not on the menu, Angie got the cooks to make it just as I rember. It tasted great, good biscuts, good hardy sausage gravy (I prefer a white flower gravy but their's is good). The bacon was crispy without being burnt... I would recommend that they have the bushes out front trimmed. They are hiding the Perry's sign... Thank you Angie for a pleasant dinning experience. I will be back... 😎✝️🙏

FINALLY a place that doesn’t serve those nasty, sugar crusted Belgian waffles. Just a good ole fashioned waffle. Served with plenty of butter and WARM syrup. I’ll be back.

I've been dining at Perry's Cafe for over 30yrs. Since the days of Costas greeting you at the door in his signature white shirt. Perry's is your classic greasy spoon dinner with plenty of guilty pleasures to choose from. If I had to choose a last meal, without a doubt it's Chicken fried Steak (CFS) smoothed in country gravey. Perry's CFS is a hit and it doesn't disappoint. No matter what you order the portions are huge. The food is tasty and the entire menu is available from the time they open till 1pm closing. One thing I have to mention cause it took me way to long to discover, order the beef N bean burrito (Pictured) on the A La Carte menu. I ordered it every time in addition to my omelets or CFS. It's to good to pass up and it taste great reheated at the house. The staff at Perry's is quick and hardworking, dedicated to making sure your dining experience is a pleasant one. Tip them well, they deserve it!!

Absolutely delectable! I highly recommend trying the Burger Patty with Eggs; you can also add hashbrowns and biscuits with gravy if you're feeling particularly hungry! The meal was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. This charming diner is undoubtedly one of the best in the area. The staff was courteous, and the service was top-notch. Our waitress consistently returned promptly to refill our drinks. If you're in search of a family-friendly local diner, I believe this is the perfect spot for you! Vegetarian options: They offer vegetarian choices. Parking: Ample parking space available! Kid-friendliness: This restaurant is family-friendly.

Perry's Cafe was recommended by a friend who loves their breakfast ham. We were greeted, quickly seated and offered a cup coffee. Our server, Melody, was very friendly and gave us great service. All four of us ordered something different. All of us, thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Corn beef hash and eggs, Ham steak and eggs, Steak and eggs and Vegetable Frittata, accompanied by an assortment of toasted breads, English muffin and biscuit. My only complaint, is that I ordered my steak medium and it came totally well done, but it was still juicy and flavorful. I highly recommend Perry's Cafe. Definitely one of my new favorite breakfast restaurants.

My go-to spot when I'm craving corned beef hash. Really is the best breakfast in town.

Food was decent, I do think the food here is a bit overpriced. But everything tasted decent and this place has a nostalgia diner feeling to it.

This place is a solid breakfast spot. Portions are good and the food is tasty. There’s plenty of parking available with spots available on both sides of the building. The chicken fried steak is not what you’d expect since there’s no breading on it. Despite this it’s still tasty. We had the blueberry muffin and it’s just ok. The texture and consistency is like angel food cake with blueberries. Next time I’m going to try the biscuit.

Soooo delicious! I recommend you try the Burger Patty w/ Eggs, you can add hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy if you’re really hungry! The meal was very tasty and hit the spot. This was a cool little diner and definitely one of the best in the area. The staff was decent and service was excellent. We always had the waitress coming back to fill our drinks in a timely fashion. If you’re looking for a family friendly local diner I think this will float your boat!

Service always excellent, nice friendly place, great food. I had an excellent Machaca con huevos, frijoles covered in cheese, salsa fresco and cholula on top. Coffee and orange juice to start. The coffee is on instant refill and is very good. I've been coming here for 30 odd years and it is always the best.

A classic American diner. This is not a themed restaurant with over the top dishes and neon signs. This is a frozen in time diner. Huge portions, lots of butter, quick coffee refills, and the smell of bacon in the air. Fast and friendly service. I really enjoyed spending time here. It’s located next to a major transportation hub, which is how I found it.

The biscuits and gravy were amazing. If you're on the fence, get the biscuits and gravy add some hot sauce party in your mouth.
