Blast from the past!! We were here in 2011 and now back in 2023. Still great food. The only disappointment was NO MOLE Tacos. Que Lame. But great Birria Taco and Surf and Turf Taco!! The flavor was packed with a punch full of meet!! I was slammed by the secret sauce on the turf taco. The beef was just a tad bit salty and dry. Just a little. Nothing a little salsa couldn’t choke out!! The staff was very friendly and of course. Rafael was super friendly and cool!! He let me pick him up for a photo op. What a great time!! Thanks Rafael!!

So much fun! Go for the kitschy atmosphere and have the tacos and tj corn. Hubby had the poblano burrito. It was huge! I had three tacos, the guy said they were small street tacos. Not! These are normal sized corn tortillas filled w yumminess. The abo hado taco is amazing!

The special California burrito was delicious! The taquitos were lacking in flavor and were too crunchy. The surf and turf burrito was better day two. I'll go back, they were good enough for a second try.

The quesadilla and the cucumber sauce was really Tasty but the drinks were not. The watermelon one tasted like watermelon mixed with lemon and Tajin with sugar. The Horatcha was okay. My husband like the cucumber drink. The surf and turf burrito was good if your into shrimp they do have steak instead of shrimp. Overall the loss of star was due to the drinks beverage, but everything else was good.

This dining establishment offers a fantastic experience—the atmosphere is surreal and welcoming. The food is truly amazing, with the burrito shell expertly cooked to a light and crispy perfection (how do they achieve that?). The ingredients used are of top-notch quality, and there's even a delightful salsa bar. While some places may be rated five stars without delivering a true five-star experience, this place genuinely earns its high rating. For those with a vegan preference, I highly recommend opting for black beans in the burrito—it's truly outstanding. Well done, folks!

Came here yesterday for a late night snack as dinner is extremely late for me where I work. I can say the quality doesn’t change but truly only gets better every time I come here. One of my favorite taco shops in all of San Diego. Had the Cali burrito add Guacamole and boy was it sure amazingly scrumptious . The price is the price, not even going to dabble into that too many factors outside of my control dictate that. The service and cleanliness was awesome! Everyone was nice and I truly love what the place looks like on the inside huge wrestling fan so I easily get sucked in. Overall I recommend for anyone who wants to try something a little different and see what the gimmick is all about, for my wrestling fans out there.

Food wasn’t that great, but go for the experience. You have to reserve the famous champ booth. No one was there so we were able to snap some photos

Fantastic burritos and tacos. The Mexican wrestling motif inside isn't my cup of tea.

The service and atmosphere were awesome. The food fell a little short for me on taste. The nachos had a red sauce on it that was spicy and covered up the taste of the rest of the ingredients. The burrito was good but a little bland. That’s just me. The atmosphere and pictures on the wall was worth the visit.

This is a great place to eat - the atmosphere is surreal and inviting. The food is amazing, with the burrito shell cooked until light and crispy (how is that done?) and the ingredients are top-knotch. Nice salsa bar to boot. A lot of places are rated five-stars that are three-star (or less) experiences. This is a five-star experience that earns the rating. (If you're vegan, recommend substituting black beans in the burrito, it's amazing.) Good job, people!

Always love this place but it’s not the same. They don’t put as much meat in their burritos as they used to. The meat to tortilla ratio is just off. They also got rid of the Tijuana hot dog. Seems like every item has a Cali version. Still, we always have a good time. The beer selection is top notch for a taco shop this size. The decor always makes me want to bring friends from out of town and everyone is always nice. The salsa bar is awesome. $72 with tip.

Food was ok. A little over hyped imo. I thought the surfin' Cali burrito was just ok - steak was a bit dry. I liked the ado-haba taco better. It was busy so we had to sit outside, which faced the road and highway and the ambience wasn't the best

Lucha Libre is a wrestling themed taco shop that is loaded with character. It's got such a cool ambiance inside with old photos and news articles, and even the booths are themed. There is probably 6 or so tables inside, so it can get crowded fast. Parking is on the side. The staff here are super friendly and have great recommendations of what's the best at the time. Prices are a little above average but the tacos are overstuffed (but who can complain about that?). Taste is on point, tons of flavors and options in each. Hit the salsa bar, they usually have a bunch of different kinds in there to grab at your own leisure. Would highly recommend as it's a great spot coming right out of the airport.

We had one day in San Diego and I read the place to go. This filled the Mexican food-shaped hole in my heart since moving to Washington. I ordered the blackened mahi seafood burrito (delicious with plenty of fish), and some friends shared a plate of a variety of tacos. They keep their salsa bar simple: a spicy red salsa, a salsa Verde (with a hint of cucumber), and a creamy, spicy salsa with cilantro that was to die for. My friend ordered the horchata which was a little on the sweet side (think Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk). Otherwise everything was exceptional!

While I was in San Diego, I came across this place and decided to give it a try. I was thoroughly impressed by the outstanding customer service I received. To my surprise, my California classic chicken burrito was prepared and ready in just 5 minutes. The establishment itself is clean and offers ample space for both indoor and outdoor seating. If you happen to be in the area, I highly recommend stopping by and exploring their menu options. I assure you that you won't be disappointed with what they have to offer.
