It’s so amazing to try the very OG Broken Yolk at PB location! I had Broken Yolk two times before at their other locations. I have to say this is my favorite one. I had an avocado toast and my husband had a French toast sandwich, both of them are very delicious. My avocado toast is loaded!! The poached eggs are also made so perfectly. We enjoyed our meal a lot. I don’t think their drinks are that good tho, the mimosa is giant but tastes really so so. I will come back for more food for sure.

Had lunch at Broken Yolk in Pacific Beach for the first time. Love the vibe the ambience that atmosphere the rooftop. The service was great, the music was good and the food was delicious. Nothing better than sitting on the rooftop open air on a nice beautiful day in San Diego and having a great lunch with family.

My initial experience at this location was delightful, starting right from the dedicated parking for customers, which had ample available spots. Upon entering, the festive decorations set a relaxed and casual atmosphere that immediately caught our attention. Karen greeted us warmly and suggested dining on the rooftop. She kindly provided a brief history of the place, mentioning her extensive 20-year tenure and her genuine passion for her work. We were promptly seated, and our orders were taken without delay. We sampled the following dishes: 1. Steak and Eggs with Hashbrowns and Muffin - My medium rare steak was excellently prepared, tender, and juicy, accompanied by fluffy scrambled eggs. 2. Pomegranate Mimosa - This recommendation perfectly complemented the sunny rooftop setting. 3. Acai Bowl - A delightful sweet and savory brunch option. 4. Iced Matcha Latte - As a fan of matcha lattes, I found this rendition sweet and creamy, hitting the mark. Overall, my visit was thoroughly satisfying. The service was exceptional, with everyone exuding friendliness and cheerfulness towards all guests. Additionally, the food portions were ample and delicious. We've unanimously agreed that this Broken Yolk Cafe location is one we'll certainly revisit!

Easy brunch spot that has great service and good food. And no wait! I've been on Saturdays and Sundays between 11-1. They have tons of seating so they can accommodate large parties too. So far everything I've tried on the menu has been good.

BEST PANCAKES IN SOCAL! The food is just what the doctor ordered, large pancakes with sausage pattys and scrambled eggs and a big portion of maple syrup. Coffee is v good and the servers really went out of their way to ensure we had a nice time. 10/10

Food was amazing staff was super friendly and a joy to talk to. The place is nothing special, but you come here for the food. We came for the cornflake French toast and enjoyed everything else. We ordered the sweet trio, vegan and choose two Benedict. The food was great and try to sit in the patio section. It’s a nice view.

Definitely a good restaurant. The food and service was great. Big portions and we could not finish it all. For lower prices though, go at 7am to 9am to get the specials. We paid more because we got there around 11am. Cheers. MRT. :)

Be prepared to wait on the weekends. I was a party of one so I was accommodated quickly. Good was good. Seems to be a lot of regulars as people seemed to know the servers by name. Overall great experience.

This location was great, we went on a Saturday and it was not very crowded. It was clean and updated inside. If you get the omelet, try it scrambled. The potions were large, definitely shareable if needed. I’d go again

I've found myself at Broken Yolk quite consistently over the past 2 years. And there's a good reason for that! Their food is always top-notch. Whether I'm craving something sweet, savory, or a blend of both, they've got something that hits the spot. Oh, and their mimosa flights? A must-try. Everyone at Broken Yolk is genuinely friendly and attentive. But one person who stands out is Ms. Blanca. She has this unique way of making every visit special. It's impressive how she remembers names, faces, and often what you had last time! I always feel a bit more at home when I spot her and hope to be seated in her section. Blanca's deep understanding of the menu and her keen suggestions for those days I'm feeling adventurous have always been on point. Hats off to Broken Yolk for a consistently great dining experience and a heartfelt thanks to Blanca for making it all the more special!

Great service. The food was delicious, and we had a nice time enjoying the roof deck outdoor seating. The coffee taste and refills were wonderful. It was a warm day, but the server kept the water refills coming. They're very attentive. We will definitely return to this location.

This is a consistent middle-road breakfast spot that’s clean and quick. They serve traditional American breakfast fare and some American-Mexican style dishes too. It’s a hearty spot, so come hungry and be prepared to possibly skip lunch. It’s not necessarily the greatest food ever, but they have the consistency and service on their side.

Wow! Can I say what a change from other breakfast joints. Yes, I know it’s a chain but John wouldn’t serve anything but the best. BYC in PB if the first of its kind and boy has the food not disappointed! You can make reservations at other locations if you have the app. If you speak up about the food you will get a honest response and reaction. Who doesn’t love action over worlds??

Visiting from out of town. This was a stop planned a few months ago when we decided to come down to san diego. We had been here 14 years ago and loved it. We were not disapointed. Food was even better than I remembered and service was great. Price is very reasonable for the portion served. Would go back on our next stay for sure

Yes, back home. Love the Broken Yoke. Great food consistently. Get a flight of mimosas for $8. They also have an early morning special if you get there before 9AM. Weekend’s can be busy so get there early if you can. Good coffee, fresh ingredients, great food, good service, they just do it right. We go to the one in Pacific Beach for there rooftop dining.

Why get two mimosas when you can get Fourmosas?? This place is the best bang for your buck breakfast in town. I like the Yolk in PB (Pacific Beach) because of the view. Service has always been good here for years too. PB crowd is pretty chill so that’s expected. Also it’s not TOO too far down PB to get caught in the boardwalk traffic. The food… Self explanatory.
