Great service here. Our waiter was invisible but always available. Not in a super power way. You know what I mean. He was human.
Atmosphere
This is where Alexander’s on 30th shines. My favorite person has been wanting to go here since before we met, so I was excited to spend our anniversary dinner here. There are beautiful white lights outside that feel a bit magical and the inside is dimly lit and romantic. One of those quiet, easygoing places that make the hours of the evening melt away.
Food
We got the baked Hampton stuffed mushrooms, the pink penne pasta, and a pizza with lots of cheese, sausage, and spinach on it. The mushrooms were good, but not my favorite part of the meal. The pizza and the pasta were great. If I had to nitpick, I wished that the pasta was fresh pasta, but that’s okay.

I just celebrated my 30th birthday dinner at this restaurant. I had ate here before and I love the ambience and the food everything about it was so romantic and breathtaking I knew I wanted to have my 30th birthday dinner here . My dinner was amazing. All of my guest loved the place and food. We sat outside on the patio. Everything about this restaurant inside and out was very beautiful ,very intimate. Everybody was so kind our server was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. 10 out of 10 I recommend this place..
Nice and pleasant experience. I am really picky when it comes to Italian restaurants and am usually less than satisfied with the food quality. This place has great food and atmosphere. The music was a little too loud making conversation difficult but other than that, it was great!
Superb food and service. Lobster ravioli, old fashioned spaghetti and meatballs, baked spaghetti and linguini Kathleen pasta. Fabulous bread! Great wine. Waiter was extremely awesome. Bill came with rose petals on it. Too cute. Just a great time
The appetizers were amazing, stuffed mushrooms and twice baked feta cheese. Entrees were great and the tiramisu perfectly light. Jacob our server was friendly and attentive!
Alexander's was a great experience all the way around. The food was amazing. There were four of us and we had The White House pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, Pink Penne pasta, Lobster Ravioli, and the Seafood pasta. The portion sizes were great. With the pizza we all had enough to take some home. I have a big appetite and can probably count on one hand how many times I have taken food home from a restaurant. The wait staff was very attentive but not overbearing. We will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items.
We ended up here because our original planned restaurant had way too long of a wait and I'm so happy that we did! We sat at the bar and had the most amazing service from every single employee that walked by. It was my friends birthday and they really went above and beyond. The food was incredible. I can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu. They also did a great job with food restrictions and truly knowing every single ingredient in their food.
All white and dramatic, yet relaxed and comfortable. The ambiance is so interesting and fun. Feels as if you've been swept away to some wonderful place. Completely unpretentious, warm and friendly staff and all focused on your experience. And then there's the food...OMG the creativity w Italian. Visually stunning and so tasty moans can be heard around the table.
Alexander's is a must stop restaurant in SD.
Beautiful restaurant with simple elegance! Very romantic atmosphere! The food is excellent. I’ve tried the Pink Penne, pizza, Lasagna, baked spaghetti all good except I’m not a fan of their lasagna.
Nice decor and the backyard is a plus for this place. The food overall was high quality although not the best Italian food I have tried. The walnut Gorgonzola with rigatoni was too rich for my taste. The meatballs were great. The bread was really good too and the bruschetta were my favorites together with the artichoke appetizer. Definitely will recommend to go, and for me personally will focus on other dishes.
I’ve lived in North Park for over 20 years and year after year. This place continues to amaze me. The food is incredible, the service is great, that is fair is wonderful. Such a perfect spot for a date night or any celebration. Fun tip… Sit at the bar. The staff is so friendly! And maybe you can convince them to give you an extra round of bread… which is literally the best I’ve ever had!
We have been here a few times, and have had great experiences each time! Last night was no different. The whole team is very friendly, attentive enough that you're not looking around for someone, but not feeling like your interrupted all the time. Garlic bread is served to every table; freshly baked and really tasty! We shared the burrata and prosciutto salad to start (definitely enough for 4); really good and lightly dressed. We had the baked vodka bolognese, shrimp Alfredo (special), and the linguine alle vongole (clams) for entrees. They were all comforting and yummy, but the linguine alle vongole was one of the best! We shared a tiramisu for dessert; great ending to a great dinner!
My nephew had his graduation dinner here. The food was good , service was on point. Parking was a pain. Had to park 2 blocks away. It's in a very nice restaurant area.
I've been coming here for 3 years now and this place has always kept the ambiance, service, and food perfect. I know every time I come in I will be pleased with my meal. If you come here - GET THE MUSSELS!!! and if you're thinking of doing a date night here - you must!

Really good pizza. Nice salads too. Nice neighborhood place to visit. We go once every month or so. Always exceptional service. Sometimes there's a wait.

Came here on New Year's Eve and actually counted down after late dining. The food was extraordinary. I had the honey glazed salmon and that was delicious. The lobster bisque was amazing also. I didn't like the tiramusu too much. The outside dining area is equipped with plenty of flame heaters. If you're looking for a nice conversation with your friends, I would suggest seating in the outside area. It tends to be a little noisy inside. I gave it 4 star because I felt rushed by my server to finish my food. Food is pricey but it is delicious food. Other than that, an overall satisfying experience.
