This is the best Gellato in town. Been coming here for many years and the quality is always top notch. The spumoni gellato rocks!!

Just had the best breakfast here! Loved it great vibe and amazing food. Everything we tried was flavorful and creative. The world would be a better place if there were more restaurants like this. I'm serious.

I have been hanging out at Gelato Vero since the 1990s. It's the sweetest little coffee shop in town!

Always a favorite. Been going here for over 20 years. In college I would go here at night and study upstairs as I watched the planes come in through the fog. Great vibe, great coffee and the best Gelato anywhere. Only challenge can be parking on busy nights.

This is one of those sweet little local spots that are just made to be fallen in love with. The gelato is delicious, but more than just the good eats, somehow it will feel like "your" place after your first visit.

Yummy gelato! Had their pistachio and chocolate hazelnut flavors. Pistachio had actual pistachios in there which was nice. Very creamy. Nice cafe space.

I love this gelato shop in Mission Hills. The gelato is very good and it's the only location that I know of that carries my favorite Gianduja (chocolate hazelnut) gelato. It’s to die for. They also have excellent sorbets. I usually purchase the quarts and take them home to enjoy over the next few weeks. The hours of operation are also great. Street parking can be tough during peak hours but since I am quick in and out I park across the street at the gas station and pick up and go.

The gelato was very tasty. This place is perfectly located on the corner of Washington St. You can order a 2 scoop and have a good portion of goodness. You must try the coffee. The staff is super friendly and it's a nice vibe.

A San Diego institution that’s been around since 1984. They have really great gelato and coffee. I love the spumoni and espresso gelatos, and the raspberry sorbet. You can have the gelato turned into affogatos and malts too! My other favorite item here is the carrot cake. The store has a second floor where it’s nice to hang out with friends or study/work. There’s a good view from up there, especially for the sunset. The staff is super friendly here and very laidback. If you’re looking for dessert and you’re in Mission Hills/Hillcrest/Sports Arena/Old Town—this is your spot.

Purchased a slice of the carrot cake. It was delicious one of the best I've had in San Diego. I would put it up there with Nordstrom Cafe and cheesecake factory. Also had the blackberry Gelato. It was a really good treat and the cups that it comes with are very nice. They also sell artwork which is posted on their walls.

This place is the best hidden gem ! I recommend it to everyone , the gelato is probably the best you'll find in San Diego and the cute but perfectly secluded area has just enough going on that you'll run into a friend but not so much that you have to worry if you want to relax and just get some gelato after a night downtown

We discovered Gelato Vero a couple of years ago, and it's our favorite gelato place. Each time we go, there are new flavors made with fresh ingredients. Their spumoni is delicious, with large chunks of fresh cherries. And this last visit, they had a peach gelato, with was made with real, fresh peaches, and was also delicious. Best of all, their prices are very reasonable and cheaper than a lot of the chains. I love supporting good, local businesses.

A coffee and ice cream joint that reminds you of a different time. It's small inside and the location makes parking inconvenient but it is definitely worth the trip. The coffee is delicious, they have ice cream, and they are open into the afternoon which is a plus

Friendly place with a cool upstairs deck. Came at nearly midnight and sat upstairs, enjoying the pretty view downtown. Red raspberry sorbetto is very authentic and as good as those I had eaten in Italy.

I stopped by this place for a quick affogato. Affogato is our new found love and we try this wherever we can. This location serves the best one. The espresso was great. The standard of the coffee was high, and the house made gelato was mind blowing. I took the chocolate gelato, and that was extremely good. I highly recommend the place.

Great coffee shop! My wife actually worked there in the 80’s. So it was a bit nostalgic! Awesome gelato( very Italian)

Great coffee shop, and tasty gelato as well. I've been here several times for an iced latte and a chocolate croissant, and I always leave feeling satisfied. The prices and service couldn't be better! I recently topped my coffee off with a pint of cookies and cream to go, and my fiance and I enjoyed it's creamy goodness that night. Highly recommended!

Solid selection in a very cozy little cafe by a strip of one of restaurants nestled at the foot of mission hills. Always fun and delicious.

I go for my favorite gelato mix, the "Corgi" ... literally based on the 3 colors. They also have the off menu gelato special orders for the super gelato fans when the Artisan is in town. We bring a special freezer to transport back.

Good desserts... Yet the inside of the place needs a little uplifting. Had the Gelato and baklava which were both great.
