Great breakfast, great service and fully decorated for the holidays! What a great place to visit for a special breakfast – a special shout out to the spiced, pumpkin waffle maker… OMG! Our server Victor was fantastic! Got my elderly dad into a booth quickly and also put the shade down a bit so the light wasn’t in his eyes👏👏👏

This little waffle house open early and has a very upbeat and friendly staff. The young cashier/ server welcomed and smile as we walked in, seated and took our orders efficiently. For our first visit it was relaxing and enjoyable visit. Large portions. We will definitely recommend this place
My family and I stopped by here to grab a brunch, the atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming, servers are so nice and very attentive. They serve big plates here! Very delicious food and we enjoyed it! We are definitely going to go back.
Food was great and very fast. For 6 people the food was out in less than 10 minutes. The price was also very reasonable.
Just had brunch with my mom this morning. I had the steak platter and she had the cinnamon apple waffle. The food was decent and the service was great. The portion was huge, an absolutely good deal in the time of inflation.

A friend of mine told me Santee was extremely racist and had a nickname. I dismissed it until I saw this on a the menu. I honestly don't know how to process it. Which is why you get 1 star for atmosphere.
Outside of that the food was very good and reasonable sized portions for the price. Service was excellent. My other photos of food had my kids in the. Sorry.
Sunday at 0900. Table was available right away for a party of two. The staff was very efficient and came around to take our order, gave us refills of coffee, check in on us to make sure we have everything we need. I saw them turn over a messy table within a minute. This is probably the most organized crew I have ever seen. The egg scramble and platter was on point with the comfort food. And of course the waffles were delicious. I recommend this place that you may have overlooked. Two thumbs up!
If you are looking for a place where you can have a heavy breakfast, then this is the finest place to dine.
We had Nutella strawberry waffles along with hash browns and french toast.
Waffles and french toast were so fluffy and fulfilling to both stomach and heart.
For drinks we had coffee and hot chocolate.
I had the best hot chocolate experience ever here. It was the best we ordered today.
I highly recommend HOT CHOCOLATE with breakfast in this place.

I do really like this place for breakfast comfort food. I've been here quite a few times and each time the food and service has been good. The food is tasty, you'll probably never see the bottom of your coffee cup, and their specialty waffles are especially yummy. Even the place itself has that country type barn feel. Anytime not summer, we try to grab a seat on the outside benches.
I would recommend the specialty waffles over the traditional egg/meat/hashbrown meals. The portions are large enough for take home.

Decided to stop here for breakfast while visiting in San Diego, based on the good reviews. The food was good, we had crepes with strawberries on it. And a waffle breakfast sandwich. Which was my first time trying that, but it was very good. Overall the prices are a little high for breakfast. But for some above $15 average per plate might be good for some. One thing I don't understand why businesses charge you extra to use your credit card when they have high price points for the food that they serve on top of that. And despite that I own a business and you should never penalize your customers for something that cost you to do business including credit cards. It's no different when the power company raises your bill or water usage goes up, you going to put signs up everywhere saying you must charge extra when those things go up. Even though those fees are there and I understand that when using credit cards, it should not be displayed as a discouragement. For these reasons I took a star away, because rather than charging for this credit card there's other options, maybe charging if the total orders less than a certain amount, or something like that.

Top notch breakfast expereince. Ordered chicken and waffles, HUGE portion for the price (which is good!). Waffle was slightly crunchy, outside and soft and fluffy inside. Perfectly seasoned, not too sweet not to salty. The chicken was also absolutely to die for. Breading was a bit different then nornal fried chicken, but in a really good way. Chicken was extra juicy-except for one small part in the thight portion, but its so miniscule it doesnt matter. Also tried the chicken and gravy... man that is the BEST chicken and gravy I have ever had. Never gone to the south, so I cant attest to the authenticity of the meal, but man did it make for good breakfast.
Line wasnt too long, and service was superb! Atmosphere took a small hit, but that isnt the resteraunts fault, its location is just a bit wierd to really get into the "cozy southern hospitality " Vibe they tried going for.
Overall, an excellent choice for breakfast, highly reccomend for anyone to go. Wide range of options for both savory and sweet, no wait (on a saturday morning!), good service, and cheap to boot! (Relative to the portions and flavor) Whats not to love?
When we got there they were very warm and welcoming. We ordered some hot chocolate for the kids and I got some hot tea. They said their drink was good and my tea was also really nice. We were waiting for a friend and the staff were very understanding. When my friend got there we ordered some food, the process of ordering food felt very calm and not rushed. Our food was very good but the portions are quite big but that's ok. I really liked this place and it's a nice place to go for breakfast 🥞🍳!
