We visited during the breakfast timeframe. We also had the French toast which was great too. If you find yourself in this area please do yourself a favor and eat at this establishment. You won’t regret it.
Fresh ingredients and nothing deep fried. Better Hawaiian than in Hawaii! Family owned and great service. Liked that dogs were ok on the patio.
The atmosphere at the cafe has the feel of a great local hangout. It's nothing fancy, but the place is fairly quit and comfy. The food was great! I had breakfast and ordered the Jr boy breakfast which came with French toast with berries, scrambled egg, Portuguese sausage and rice. The French toast was made with sweet Hawaiian bread, making it extra moist but NOT soggy. Because they used the Hawaiian bread the toast didn't need a lot if extra syrup (I liked french toast just barely sweet). Someone who enjoys their French toast dripping with sweetness may need to ask for extra syrup. The eggs wre cooked nicely and the Portuguese sausage was excellent. This is definately a place I would return to. I give it 5 out of 5 Yum Yum's.
Da Kine Grind in PB. Love this place for its cool atmosphere and good food. I thought whenever I drove by that this was simply a sandwich
shop. My mistake! Great Hawaiian food including excellent breakfast bagels and great plate lunches. Good prices as well make this place a real winner.
Bugga stay good!!!!. Great plate lunch for true hawaiians
Cool, laid back island food in a friendly setting. Love the My Kalani breakfast (Kahlua pork, rice & egg). My wife's favorite is the Fried rice with egg & sausage.
It's hard to find great Hawaiian food on the mainland. So when we discovered Leilani's Cafe in the Pacific Beach neighborhood, we dined there 3 days in a row during our recent trip to San Diego. Leilani's Cafe is a small mom-and-pop cafe that serves breakfast and lunch. On the menu are bagel sandwiches, brunch items, and Hawaiian plate lunch classics like Loco Moco and Kailua Pork. Hawaiian French Toast with coconut maple syrup Everything we tried on the menu is excellent. The Hawaiian style French Toast topped with sliced bananas and strawberries, drizzled coconut maple syrup is a great way to start the day. It's made with sweet Hawaiian bread and each bite is moist and flavorful, and not overly sweet. A bargain breakfast priced under $10 is My Kalani - a generous serving of two eggs, Kailua pork, rice, Portuguese sausage, and mac salad. The meal is enough for 2 people, or maybe 1 if you're really hungry. My Kalani - Two eggs, Kailua pork, Portuguese sausage, mac salad and rice Da
Cute spot for food! Service and ambiance was great. We got the Loco Moco and the Pork special, the plates had a lot of rice and could have used a bit more flavor, but I would come back to try different dishes and enjoy the view.
Ohhhh bruddah!!!! We enjoy this place everytime we're in San Diego visiting family!!!! Wife always has to get the kalua pork quesedilla which she loves, granddaughter got the jr boy n she loved it, I got my kalani with a side of gravy...... we enjoyed our food very much. We'll keep coming back as long as they put out the grinds like back on the islands!!!!
I really enjoyed this quick casual eatery! The spam fried rice was absolute fire and the strawberry chicken salad was fresh.
Great little patio place. Actually made me feel like I was in Hawaii. Really good loco moco too.
Best Hawaiian food in San Diego. All their dishes are good. My favorites are the Hilo Style Loco Moco and their Spam Musubi. I love how their Musubi is cut like a normal sushi roll and comes with spicy mayo for dipping.
Leilani’s Cafe catered our Opening Day for the Navy Yacht Club San Diego on March 6th and did an AMAZING job! Working with Lelani prior to the event went smoothly, she provided guidance on the menu, which ended up being spot on for our guests. She and her team, Monique and Melia were on time and surprised us with beautiful flower leis. We set up tables and they took care of the rest, dressed the tables, beautifully decorated with flowers. The food presentation was well done, both looking appetizing and tasted delicious! A menu was located by the plates, napkins and utensils, each food item was clearly labeled; buffet style servicing went smoothing and efficiently for 150 people. Many of our guests raved about the food and the service Leliani, Monique and Melia provided. We could not have been more pleased with everything, all went as planned with no issues. We were all extremely satisfied and full. We highly recommend Leilani’s Cafe and will be using them again. Lelaini and her staff thought of everything, well planned and well executed, exceptional service and food was amazing!
One of the best breakfast/lunch spots in PB. The coffee and smoothies are great, the typical menu items are all tasty, and they rotate the daily/weekly specials quite often. If you aren’t super hungry, I would definitely recommend the spam musubi. Mahalo 🤙🏼
The staff and food was great. They have outdoor dining and it's perfect for Sunny San Diego. Love this place
Great place to get islander dishes like musubi (meat wrapped in seaweed and rice) or Loco Moco = 2 eggs, generous meatloaf portion topped with gravy, on top of white rice but I recommend the Hilo style which is spicy fried rice. Worthy spot to visit in San Diego!
Cool spot location not a lot of seating but I liked the French toast with fruit. Will come back to try more food. Thank you
Great place great Hawaiian eats. Good service
This is like visiting auntie leilani's house for breakfast. The local Moco was legit! After having many local mocos in Hawaii, this one is the real deal. The outdoor seating was delightful. Be patient when finding a parking space, these are residential streets and it is worth it.
Kimchi fried rice was so bomb !!!im pictire person ask for it for here they gave me 2 plates togo but everything else was good
North PB Icon! Leilani and her family are here all the time making incredible food and drinks for the community.
Favorites include the spam musubi, Leroy's Spice chicken, and any of the specials or bagel sandwiches.
Leilani's deserves 10 stars if you could give it.
Incredible Hawaiian delights await you at Leilani's Cafe!
next door is fig tree, don't go there, go to Leilanis! ... fig tree is great but Leilani's counter style breakfast and lunch is the way to go if you don't need booze with your meal (fig tree has that!)
Spam musubi, teriyaki chicken, and saimin noodle soup are some of my favorites. They close early so make sure to get here by 1 to make sure you get some. This is a family run business we love supporting. They even have a imported goods store on sight where you can get Lei's and more!
Great place to eat, dine and park lots of parking. Prices are awesome and great fast service, food was so fire I had to order more to go
The Pork Lau Lau was amazing 👏 😋. Definitely would get again and other stuff on the menu. Great food and reasonably priced.
