The first place that I visited on my trip to San Diego was this cafe. My lunch was amazing and the service was excellent. Ruth even helped me and my sister navigate our way to the bus stop so that we could get to our hotel safely. The food, service, and scenery were all amazing. I definitely recommend this cafe!!

Awesome place with great and very nice staff! Absolutely relaxing summer time vibes even during November 🤩. If you like fresh seafood or flavors tacos it is the perfect place for you. It’s the best place to experience perfect food and watch breathtaking sunset. The only thing you need to be aware is that the portions are huge 😁

Such a great little place to eat and get a view of the beach! Bf and I were celebrating our 5th year anniversary! We both enjoyed this Cafe. Bf said eggs were bland no flavor. He didn't enjoy his breakfast that much. He did say he'd come back here with me. I highly recommend this place especially for the ocean view!

Cute Cafe out on Ocean Beach Pier. Food was pretty good. I had breakfast burrito and it was huge, hot sauce was really good and hit the spot. Loved the views, each window had sweeping expansive views of the ocean. Watched the waves come in. Great breeze out there, it will be cooler out on pier than on beach.

We shared the fish and chips and Clam Chowder bread bowl, both ended being the best we had ever had! As you can see by the picture, there are 3 pieces of fish that was hand battered before they were served on a bed of freshly cut frys! The side of coleslaw was delicious and had a little sweet taste to it. Also served with the meal was 1 lemon wedge and tarter sauce for the fish. The Clam Chowder bread bowl was amazing! the soup is made on-site, the bread is sourdough and was fresh.... very soft to chew also topped with the right amount of cheese! We will definitely be back!

The person behind the kitchen kindly greet. The server come she was slightly rude at first. I ordered fish and chips. The fish had thin crust, is seamed fresh. The chips I don't think it was fresh or maybe the oil they use to fry wasn't charged in a long time. But Al tasted really good. Prise really 13$! The cowl slow it was also THE BEST I HAVE TRIED! But something keep making go to the restroom, something was not fresh- I know for sure because I am sensitive and if is not fresh keep hurting my stomach. I give it 4 🌟 because of not much friendliness of the service... The view is great! I enjoy the place itself very much 😊

The restaurant is built on the pier and is well deep inside the water. It feels as if you are sitting in middle of the ocean and having your food. The view makes this place a must visit. Otherwise the cafe is somewhat run down as it’s an old built. Also their food is not pretty great. I had Mexican omelet here. It was pretty average. Also, they serve on cardboards plates and plastic cutlery. The cardboard plate actually started to wear off, because of my food. I might have eaten some paper with beans. Staff was pretty nice and pleasant. Thus cant give it anything less than 4 stars.

Had the clam chowder bread bowl for an early lunch and my partner had the fisherman's breakfast special. They were both very good with good portion sizes. The walk down the pier was a bit chilly but the food warmed us up and was certainly worth the walk.

FANTASTIC, HIGHLY RECOMMEND. If you are looking for the trendy SO CAL dining experience pop culture raves about with creative cuisine this place is not for you. However, if you are looking for a GREAT tasty breakfast, for a good price, in portions that will fill you up . . . I highly recommend this place. I can't say enough about the breakfast burrito. Depending on how hungry you are you may consider splitting it with someone. As for atmosphere, to be frank, it is what some might consider a hole in the wall. From my perspective it is a family owned restaurant with casual surfer life character I enjoyed. It is at the end of a 2,000 foot pier with good coastline views. You will find locals who are fishing off the pier and at the right times of day see many surfers testing their skills. Stop by for the authentic CA experience of years gone by not for the housewife of orange county experience.

We've been here a few times now. Quite frankly you get a lot of food for the price you pay. The food is definitely good and worth coming back for. It's probably our favorite pier cafe in all of San Diego county. Their tartar sauce has some added flavor to it that gives a nice change to the standard. It's always nice to walk the pier and then have some yummy food while watching the ocean and the wildlife. And this is especially a great place to stop in while fishing off the pier. Service has always been lovely, even though it can get slow as they run the gift shop as well. Don't come in expecting a super quick meal, but it definitely doesn't take too long either. If you're in the OB area, do yourself a favor and take a walk down the pier and have some delicious fried foods.

Great local spot! Highly recommended right on the pier. Nothing fancy just good food made fresh to order. Definitely try the lobster omelet, so delicious. Go with patience, it's a local spot and very short staffed. No reservations, first come first serve...but we'll worth the wait.

Absolutely fabulous. Super cute. They fish and chips were so different. The fish tasted like it was dipped in hush puppie batter and fried. Never had anything like that in my life. I've walked by this cafe numerous times but have never stopped. I'm so glad I FINALLY ate here and will definitely be bringing my mom and favorite aunt here. They portions were big and I had lunch for the next day! I sat outside and just ordered at the window. I wanted to enjoy the salty air. Bring a jacket on grey days.

The fish and chips is the best I've had in San Diego so far. Portions are huge. The fresh cut fries are fantastic, and the fish batter is like a hushpuppy, it's delicious

Came here for breakfast and its located on the Ocean Beach Pier which is nice because you get a nice view of the water. Its a small cafe with some additional seating on the outside. The menu is not too extensive but its enough to have a good meal and for the price its pretty comparable to a fast food chain depending on what you order. Got the breakfast sandwich and pier combo and they both came back great. Would stop by again in the future.
