Nice Place. Excellent atmosphere offering excellent service.
The food is good; however, our burrito and taco's could have been served at a much higher temperature. Always get a little nervous when the food is not served piping hot. Flavors were good and the ingredients were fresh. Will return to try other menu items and hopefully, the entrees will be steaming when they arrive at the table.
Best Mexican Restaurant to date in San Diego. My friend and I stopped in for lunch before an appointment and were so happy to enjoy a delicious "true" mexican meal. I would recommend this lovely little hide-away to anyone living or visiting in Hillcrest - absolutely a 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to Huapangos last week for lunch with my husband and our new puppy. We were welcomed by a very kind young man that was happy to sit us all (including our puppy).
Since she stayed inside my purse, we were able to sit inside. He was very kind and prompt to serve us! We will for sure be back to this place! highly recommended for you and your furry babies.
Very nice experience here on a chilly March night in San Diego. Had warm tortilla soup, ceviche tostada, fries ice cream and coffee. Yum yum. Sat by the window for dinner then got chilly and moved over to the fireplace on the other side. My server was the sweetest young man and the owners were so welcoming and friendly. This family are the kind of people who belong in the restaurant business as they care genuinely about the quality of their food and the experience of their guests.
We came in for my son’s birthday he loved the food and the decorations. This place is family friendly highly recommend.
Fajitas were great, friendly service. Nice decor and art. Was cold out and they had fireplace going which made cozy. Chips came with salsa and queso. Will definitely go back
I was going to give this restaurant a 2⭐ due to waiting for my food to arrive for over 50 minutes. I went to talk to the manager/owner and she was extremely apologetic about the wait. She let me know that they are short staffed (like many restaurants right now). She offered alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks on the house and also provided chips and dip. The service was really good after my complaint. The food was tasty and I enjoyed my meal. This restaurant was able to fix something that wasn't right. I will give them a 4⭐ because they really made the effort afterwards to correct the issue.
First time in San Diego and stumbled on this place after visiting the Zoo. Great people, food and decor. Love supporting local small businesses. Owner was great to talk with!
First time here and definitely coming back. Food was bomb. Service was amazing and friendly. Big serving size, come hungry. Atmosphere is so cute w/ good mexican jams. * Side note, bottomless mimosas 7 days a week. 10/10
I’ve been here twice while in town. The first time was for breakfast, I actually meant to go somewhere else but the wait was too long, so I walked up the street and saw this place and decided to give it a try. Totally worth it! Got the chilaquiles with red sauce and carnitas. Sooo good. This time around I brought my mom and she ordered the green chilaquiles and they were both delicious. The “Café de Olla” is also amazing! Sweet, citrusy with orange peel and warm cinnamon. I gotta learn how to make it at home it was so good. The atmosphere is also really nice, spanish inspired and artsy. The outdoor seating is great but I love being able to sit in the arch windows. The staff are nice and welcoming. I love this place and will definitely go again
Food is decent, bottomless mimosas are the best, you can choose either champagne or mimosas. Service is ok, sometimes it gets super busy and the service is slow. I always like the music that they play.
