By far, they have the best poke sauces and food quality. I was also impressed that the employees cared about keeping the fish at a safe temperature. They politely asked customers waiting in line to keep the door closed until there was space for them to step inside.
I've been here about 5 times now and I enjoy my experience here each time. Ton of poke for 11 bucks and avocado and crab meat is NOT Extra! These guys are doing it right here and the fish is always succulent never chewy or tough. This place gets busy and stays busy. Best spot to get poke in SD hands down.
Literally a healthier version of Chipotle but Poki instead. Great vibe! Great style! They just need more seats and if the had that bar seating area that looks out the window with a good view like the ocean. It would be heaven.
This was our first time here and this was so delicious!
Highly recommend to anyone.
this place is so fresh! Literally a bowlful of tuna salmon yellowtail and all the Fixin's for 10 bucks!#sashimiheaven
This place is beyond good! It's so good and affordable that I ordered a second meal to take home with me.
Yummy. A bowl of sushi roll! The fish was fresh and we will be back for more!
Super fresh, healthy and delicious! Best poki in San Diego. Lots of choices and toppings. We drive 20+ mins just to eat here and gladly do so, but, PLEASE open a Poki One N Half in Eastlake!
I love the place. It's so casual and seafood always so fresh
Amazing! Pick what you want in it! . I am allergic to raw onions so it is great to order without that. Fresh fish. Great prices. I eat there about once a week.
Good Food, great service, I am so full!
Wow, great people and good customer service. They are not even open to the public yet, but we were invited to try what they have with their family and friends. It is truly One N Half because the serving is very large with a very good price. Thank you Jen and your beautiful family for the warm reception and hospitality! We love it!
This has to be THE best Poke bowl place in San Diego. yeah, it's a chain. But the price to poke ratio is great. And they don't charge extra for avocado (please keep it that way).
It also has the best taste, too. I've been to a couple others and they are just bland or boring. Poke One N Half has so many options to add to the flavor and make it your own.
Spicy...sweet...savory.
Now, the prices have gone up since the first time I've been there, but tell me where they aren't. Hopefully inflation will come down soon.
This is my go to poke place as it’s close to my work. I like that they have many protein options. Also, they have so many toppings to choose from without additional charge. I especially like their octopus and spicy Mayo sauce. Their portions are big and reasonably priced. It’s quite busy when i visit every time. It’s advisable to order online for pick up. They now set up tables for dining in. Give it a try if you haven’t gone there yet.
I love this place so much. I order a poke here each week and recommend this place to all my friends. But. That's why I was really unhappy surprised today. I made my ordinary pick-up order and I only at home saw an additional ingredient in my poke. A dried garlic was added and this thing ruined a whole dish. Guys you're really good, one of the best, seriously. But could you please check what do you add. It could spoil the taste and be unsafe. And portion was really smaller than usual
This was my first time visiting this poke place. The large scoop of avocado was a pleasant surprise, but it was definitely spoiled, it tasted rotten and fizzy. Everything else was very fresh and delicious! I also enjoyed the large sized portions.
I ordered two medium bowls $12 each. Each bowl had 3 scoops of beautiful pink salmon and red tuna (there were other meats available).
- Fast & nice staff
- reasonable price
- fresh ingredients
I wish they had drivethro.
Gotta give this place the full rating because everything is solid here. Nice, fresh food, great choice of ingredients, clean, modern interior and super efficient service!
It's set up to be easy to choose what you're eating and even a novice (such as myself) is able to figure it out quickly and place an order.
Here you can be a vegetarian, vegan, paleo or omnivore - there's something for everyone. Even the Gluten Free-ks can feel safe here; as far as I understand there isn't any gluten on the menu at all.
The Regular bowl was quite big and in hindsight I could have probably done with a small but, hey, it's all healthy, right!? After all this wholesomeness, dessert is a must, and the ice cream filled macarons are very tasty indeed.
Excellent lunch experience and will definitely revisit!
Was here on July 13, 2017 at around 20:30 with 3 of my friends. One of us ordered a poke burrito, while the rest of us ordered the Large bowl. I am amazed at everything that this place has to offer. Let me tell you straight up why I give them a 5 star.
1. They tell you on the board how to order step by step. The best thing I like about their menu is the simple layout and you can say EVERYTHING. 5 scoops of fish is quite generous for the price of about $12. I said I want everything for steps 2 and 5. I said everything, but wasabi which I regret and will get to that in a moment.
2. The cashier and the people who helped with our order were very patient. I like the service here. Even though we took our sweet time because it was our first time to this poke joint. I had one of my friends select how much to tip. Normally I would have probably tipped $1 at most per person just because it is not exactly a sit down and have them service me, but he hit 18%. I agree that we liked the service and the food too. If I had the receipt still, I would have a pic, but I remember it was $57.57 for the 4 of us with 18% tip. Unfortunately as of this writing, the credit card has not finished processing my bill so I am not sure but I think it would be around $70. I shall keep my receipts next time. Anyways, this is not a sit down restaurant service where you have waiters, but we tipped pretty good because we liked the service.
3. The tables can get packed. I drop by this area all the time without going in because of the nearby Bookoff and Mitsuwa. It is always busy. Parking is also hard to find during peak hours especially Friday evenings and Saturdays. Sometimes, it is much easier to park at the street than to search for a parking spot or if you are cool like me who can walk at least 100m, park even farther and power walk here.
4. The food here is amazing. If you order with everything, blend it in very well. Like mix it and then eat it. Everything on my bowl taste fresh and good. I was surprised that my friend told me the wasabi here is not the spicy wasabi that they serve you at a generic restaurant. The wasabi taste is suppose to be light and while there is some spice to it, the taste is not instantaneous strong. Did I say I got full? Nah I lied, I was close to being full, but I had room for dessert, but one of my friends had a left over. I wanted to eat it too, but I was still working on my food. Even though it looks a tad bit less than what I eat at home (we are talking about the large bowl that I bought), it fills me up fast (must be the brown rice). So, you would be surprised if you eat here that you may get full fast.
5. Pricing, I think this place is cheaper than some poke joints that I went to. I had been to places that had 3 scoops for as high as $13 or 14 before taxes. Not to mention the large bowl here is LARGE. So, I think this is one of the cheaper poke joints that I have been to and is going to be my favorite poke place to eat.
6. They have water cups here, it is self serve. I am so happy I do not have to ask for it. All the utensils are set up neat and nicely on the drinking fountain area.
7. Restroom was clean when I used it. Just thought I would put a note about that. Tables are hard to find during peak hours though, we felt bad for this one gentlemen who was looking for a table to eat so since we were pretty much done, I told my friends to go so he can have a table to eat.
8. The hours of operation here: they open until 22:00 (10pm) and for Friday and Saturday night until 23:00 (11pm). I like that they open that late. I have to mention that because it was a Thursday night and most places that we wanted to go eat were about to be closing (most restaurants like to close at 21:00 (9pm)) so I am happy this place opens past 21:00.
TL;DR: This place has great poke, at a great price with excellent customer service, and clean restroom. Everything here is good, menu laid out well, with clean restroom and self-service drinks.
The price for a small bowl is now $15.95 but maybe it's one of the healthiest and good tasting meals around.
I love their bowls, it's always good quality ingredients and I'm a fan of them. But today I tried for the first time their vanilla ice cream macaroon. Delicious, loved it!
Used to come here all the time in college. Great poke spot and their portions are huge! The workers are friendly and the poke tastes great. I’d recommend checking this place out if you are looking for a poke spot.
This was the first poke place I tried and I have gone to others since, none are as good as poki one n half. Three sizes, several protein options, get sauces and other toppings! I love that they don't nickel and dime you by charging for guac and krab like other poke places. They are fast and friendly, get portions, and tastes even better!

My number 1 Poki stop is none other than Poki One N Half! Yup, I choose you and as always I can't afford to eat here every day. The first time I came here wasn't a good experience. I ordered the poki wrap so that I can compare it to Pokirrito. The guy that was rolling my poki wrap didn't do a great job. A scoop full of fish actually fell out and he threw them away. I was really sad about that and I didn't want to come back. 3 months later, I gave them another try. My second time around I ordered Large (5 scoops) Poki Bowl. I'm so glad that I did and what finally won my heart is that; they don't charge extra for any extra scoop of toppings. Yay!
By far the best spicy tuna I have ever had! Thumbs up buddy!
My first time here and I have to say that I really enjoyed their Poki Bowls. I do like they don't just have rice as an option for their poki bowls because I'm actually not a big fan of rice. They had chips or salad you can replace the rice with. The staff was really nice and friendly. But I did get a bit annoyed cause I told one of the staff that mine and my friends are on the same oder and she kept trying to ring my friend separately and she didn't get it till the 3rd time me saying it and another staff also told her. But I would definitely come back here.
Really good deal, get the large with 4 fish.
I’ve tried the following and listed them in order of how tasty they are:
- Salmon
- Albacore
- Spicy Tuna
- Scallop
- Tuna
First time eating here and it was super yumm. The staff was really friendly. I will definitely be coming back here again. The fish was really yummy and fresh I had the tuna and salmon. the seaweed salad was super yumm!! Thanks for a great first experience
Love it! Got the large, spicy, two scoops of tuna one salmon, one scallop, extra rice (free) two scoops of crab (imitation) but also (free). Fresh, split it and we both got full. Busy place, expect a line but it moves fast. I could eat this daily. Next time I’ll get the wasabi and ginger on the side. Hold the sesame oil. I want to taste the fish. Tobiko or namako (flying fish eggs) is free and good, fresh green onion also adds allot.
I would give 5 stars if they had grownup seating instead of kindergarten stools to sit on. Also, who in gods name would put pickled jalapeños on a poke bowl! Is this nachos at 7/11? Get fresh jalapeños, slice them nice and thin please.
