One of my favorite Taco spots in SD! Great rooftop views but can sometimes be extremely hot. The tacos are really the only thing I ever eat and are quite gourmet and packed with flavor. Well worth the price and even a better deal on Tuesdays! Sometimes the service is poor during busy hours but otherwise the staff is always friendly and on point. All in all a bar & grill backed by Aaron Rodgers that's flies a Packers flag below the American flag is A-okay in my book. Catch a sunset here the next time your are in Pacific Beach!

amazing atmosphere! at first I liked the old beach wood vibe, but el prez has really grown on me! staff..especially the bartenders are super friendly and down to earth, very patient (sometimes I can't decide which beer/drink I want for a couple mins haha) and the theme of el prez is truly unique and modern! the food is great as well-check out this gem if you're looking for a chill spot to view the ocean!
hands down the rooftop has the best ocean view in Pacific Beach along with 2 full bars to grab drinks. Great tacos, craft cocktails, and personable staff members round out the other reasons why I love this place. Heads up, the upmost level of the bar closes at 10pm, but main floor of the bar provides a cool environment to grab a drink, watch sports or party hard at night and gives off a great vibe. Definitely a must go if you're headed to the beach this summer
It was a great experience. The service was top notch . The atmosphere was awesome. The food was excellent. I work in the food and beverage industry .. this place is now one of my must do places to eat in San Diego.

There's not many beachside or ocean view bars in San Diego, so you expect the few that are will be overly crowded and it's going to take forever for service. Well, I was pleasantly surprised that the place was on top of it. It was crowded but we managed to get a table for a party of 8 with amazing views of the water and sunset.... on a Saturday night! The service was fast and friendly ....and props to management that came around to make sure we were being taken care of. Definitely making this place my favorite beachside bar� Maybe we will come back and try the food next time. We had a blast !!
We went on Friday daytime and not too crowded so service, food and beer were all good. The tacos and nachos did the trick. Also gave military discount which was the best in town. We will be down soon again.

Although is not our vibe! We ate realy well. We were looking for pasta but our option turned us down. The tacos here was amazing, hugely and delicious, enough beens and rice to fill you up. Great option if you are hungry! Thank you.

GREAT FOOD, GREAT MARGS, GREAT SERVICE!! I am so happy we tried El Prez while in Mission Beach because it truly surpassed our expectations! I had read the great reviews and thought heck yeah, a margarita on a rooftop sounds like a darn good time, so we decided we'd go for happy hour. We sat on their rooftop patio that overlooks the beautiful Pacific Ocean right off Mission Beach and got to watch the sunset while we enjoyed our drinks. I should also mention this place is like 2 or 3 stories, both indoor and outdoor, with plenty of seating on each level. We ordered the Spicy Garcia and Nina Fresa (both on the rocks margaritas) based on the waitress' recommendation, and they were delicious! We ordered the nachos as an appetizer, a Mixto Bowl (which was a taco salad served in a tortilla shell) and 3 tacos as our entrée. Honestly, if we had known how large a portion the nachos were going to be, we could have easily split those and been fine without entrees! Everything tasted so fresh though and the waitress was so kind and helpful - even though their patio was packed, we never felt forgotten about, she was always there to refill waters and ask if we needed anything else. 10/10 highly recommend trying El Prez the next time you want a really good margarita, bomb good food and a beautiful view!
Won’t lie, I came here quite hesitant for their food as I usually don’t go somewhere to order tacos, etc. anywhere except in the Chula Vista area. But food was honestly very impressive. I recommend taking the stairs up to the deck to enjoy a couple of drinks or food for some killer views of Pacific Beach. Entrance is a bit confusing but take nothing away from the venue. More for the younger crowd, but Sunday afternoon I went was tame.

came on a Thurs. we got $3 fish tacos and $8 margaritas for happy hour. Zach was handling the entire bar all alone and did a phenomenal job tending to everyone inside. Girl bartender upstairs on the patio was rude though. It's weird that they have different specials on the patio and inside.

Came in and tried El Prez for the first time the other day while on vacation. Summer was phenomenal! She gave the best recommendations for food and drinks. The Spicy Garcia was absolutely amazing, and the tacos she recommended were flavorful and delicious. Summer offered to make it a double to kick off my vacation, and I have to say, it was the best decision I’ve made all week! I will definitely be back to see Summer and have another great experience next time I am in town.
Our server Yosselin ( Apologies if I've misspelled her name) was the absolute best! She was so kind and my wife and I were so fortunate to have had her as our waitress. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere...OMG was superb. If we didn't live so far away I'd come back time and time again. Recommend!! (DUH)
This place was such a vibe.! We went to bar and enjoyed the drinks,food and the outstanding views! They have a club downstairs, which was amazing to go downstairs and dance. then go back upstairs and watch the fight that they were showing. They also have a rooftop area which I didn't get to enjoy. But yea, I would definitely check it out . We were on vacation for a Bachelorette party, so it definitely fit the vibe.
If you are visiting the area like us, it’s the perfect introduction to the Pacific Beach area. Great rooftop views. The service was slightly slower to get your drinks but the food was decent. The drinks was where it was at! Nice ambiance and decor.
Taco Tuesday is everyday! El Prez was a great spot for live events like football/basketball/futbol.
Especially when it has bomb tacos like these below!! Not much to say other than delicious and good priced!

Its one of my favorite roof top sunset spot. I swear their music is perfect with couple of friends who can enjoy the beauty of the sunsets. I would highly recommend this place for a kind employees as well. Perfect spot to get bottle service and again enjoy the sunset.
Been here a couple of times. This is usually a go-to bar on a night out in PB. It is always packed Thursday-Saturday. Servers are usually always busy and typical type of service you'd find at any bar or restaurant.
Every Wednesday they hold standup comedy. It is "no fee" but requires 20 dollar of food or drink purchases.
