DiMiilles has been my gold standard since I came to SD in 1980. I think everything they do is pretty good. My favorite is the lasagna. The pizza, sandwiches (meatball) and calzone are great. The chicken Marsala and Veal Parm are very good. Excellent craft beer taps, good wine and when Dominic is making drinks, you can’t beat his bartender skills! Great family, great staff, always a pleasurable experience!
We had lunch today November 5, 2017. The Calamari for appetizer was on point. Delicious. My Calzone was perfect. My Fiance had a Italian torpedo also on point. My daughter had her mini kids pizza. Great Customer Service. Of course we going back. Thanks, DJ Junior.
I had an amazing experience! The food was delicious and our waiter was fabulous! I went during lunch and ordered the lasagna from the lunch special which was delicious and the portions were large. My Aunt ordered the super star sandwich, which was my now ultimate favorite sandwich of all time. I reccomend anyone to try this resturant out. It's a must go to!
DiMille's is one of the best Italian restaurants in San Diego. The owners and staff make you feel like family. Great food and atmosphere.
foos taste good, people is great, place is clean, and did I say food taste great. Yep I did. It taste awesomeeeeeeeeee
You can never go wrong with the deep dish. Or anything else from DiMille's as a matter of fact. I've been coming here for years.
The food and service are always excellent!
Their eggplant parm and fettuccini with clam sauce are tasty! The pizza always great.

Pizza is the best here. Had a cob salad with it and it was huge. One friend had a fettuccine Alfredo, and the other a calzone. Both dishes looked delicious. Wonderful service as well.
The best chicken masala I have ever had, and I have had quite a few masala dishes.
The calamari and chicken alfredo are my favorite and the calamari is always perfectly cooked. I always ask for more sauce in both.
A great tasting Italian restaurant that has been consistent for the 30 + years that my family has been attending. When in the neighborhood it's well worth it.
I have been going to DiMille's since 1985 & I love this place !!!!! ❤️
DiMille's has been a tradition in my life for the past twenty years. Date night. Bring visitors night. Be by myself night. And now a mother daughter tradition.
Although, the deep dish pizza reigns supreme, the Italian dishes are average. Now, I have broadened my palette to divine Italian eateries add know what is canned, fresh or doctored up. DiMille's does well with blending them all.
The lasagna is decent but could be better. The ratio of pasta to fixins is subpar. You will enjoy the presentation and your eyes will say oooh. You will enjoy the portion size and your stomach will say yum.
The large portion size can early be shared with three of you all a salad and the bread. However, the meat sauce is tantalizing and you'll want to be selfish. I typically order one Mama's meatball.
The Caesar salad with the dressing is also good. I add extra olives, red onions, add pepperoncini. By the way, the chicken is not cooked on demand. I think the chicken is precooked in the morning and warned up if you order it. This I don't favor at all. It's still edible and DiMille's put a lot on the salad unlike their restaurant counterparts.
For bread connoisseurs, DiMille's needs an upgrade in the recipe for penetrating moistness of the garlic spread. I peel off the bottom because why waste carbs in tastelessness.
In general, there is a variety of dishes for vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, and meat preferred dining. The menu is quite broad and one will return to try more.
Patio and indoor dining is available. Happy hour, birthdays, and even a small separate bar area to watch games, have a drink and eat.
Truth be told, I'm going to continue to come here because of the warmth of the employees, the delicious lemon drop martini, and the family and the employees have always been personable. For every kid meal, kiddos get one free delicious cookie. I don't believe that the cookies ate homemade but kids love them.
Ambience of old world ital, food portions above normal, serving, greeting staff was great, food delivered to table in about 10 minutes. Inside and outside dining. Family owned, handicap accessible. No surcharge on food!
Always quick and friendly service! Great portions for their lunch options and very reasonable prices. Food is ALWAYS fresh tasting and perfect temperature. Plenty of parking next to the building. Cozy booths perfect for an intimate lunch or dinner.
Really good Italian food, gelato and wine. They also have a good happy hour. I like their sandwiches and pasta. The only thing that wasn't my favorite is their minestrone, it just tasted a little bit starchy to me but I know a lot of people like it that way.
Love their deep dish pizza and their subs, we have been coming to Dimille's fit over 10 yrs and we love it.

The food here is amazing, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff are helpful and check on you often. And as you can see, healthy portion sizes.
I've been to Di Mille's numerous times. There food is good quality, their meat sauce is really good and they are always friendly. I usually order the chicken parmigian dinner with meat sauce, salad and garlic bread for $22. It's a lot of food!
Thank you for all you have done for our community. You will be missed!!
Great little Italian restaurant. The garlic cheese bread was fantastic and the cheese ravioli in meat sauce was also tasty. Will definitely be coming back
Reasonable and delicious lunch! Went here with a friend who moved into the 'hood. I've been here multiple times in the past, and this was my first time being there for lunch. For $8.95, I had a generous portion of lasagna with meat sauce, two generous pieces of garlic bread, and a side salad. All was delicious and the service was very fast and friendly! I will be back for lunch for sure!!
My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here the night before our wedding and I can’t properly explain how above and beyond Mike and the entire DiMilles crew went to accommodate us and our guests. We booked the outdoor patio for 45+ guests and got a bit unlucky with the weather. Mike and his team worked tirelessly to move us indoor when needed and back outdoors when weather permitted. The entire staff is warm and welcoming and the patio is lovely for big group events. Even if you aren’t booking for a large event, take your better half and enjoy a night out. The food is fantastic, the prices are affordable, and they are a local institution and in these times, we should be supporting neighborhood spots.
DELICIOUS! We tried the seafood fettuccine, mini pizza, spaghetti and lasagna. Everything was delicious. With two kids ( 7 & 6) and hungry appetites after walking around the zoo, we relied on the many reviews on google and it did not disappoint. It's cozy for families, no need to fine dining attire which is GREAT, and it's free parking. Price is about $20 a person. Still worth it with great portions! Highly recommend!!
Tried DiMille's for the first time and was very pleased with the result. Great food, comfortable family atmosphere, attentive staff. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and glass of wine. I highly recommend this family-style dining spot...and the dog-friendly patio is a bonus!
We absolutely love DiMille's! It had been more than a year because of Covid and last night was fantastic. A family dinner night on the patio and we shared salad, pastas and pizza along with our Chianti. Each dish was delicious and came out piping hot from the kitchen. Looking forward to the next time. Thanks DiMille's for a great night!
