Amazing food dished out by a local legend! Lucky has great jokes and a better attitude. Take your time with this place, it’s just him running the show but occasionally with some help! Great portions for the price. CASH ONLY!

Lucky is awesome! One man show! It takes a while to get service, and you have to be patient. I will say I was getting a little impatient, but Lucky knows who came in when...somehow. I then wasn't feeling like I needed to rush, Lucky is so calm and makes you appreciate the vibe. I would say this place is not for everyone, but the food was excellent and cheap!!!

An old man (named Lucky?) will make you one of four simple American breakfasts for under 10$. Cash only. He runs the whole diner by himself so it might be slow when there's lots of people. It's a good breakfast though.

I just saw the news and i am heartbroken. Lucky’s is hands down my favorite breakfast place in San Diego. Painless and pleasant always. The food is always delicious and Lucky and his friend (i suck at names) are my favorite. I will come as much as i can before it closes. We love you Lucky! Thanks for many great years of serving us delicious food!!

If you're looking for a pleasant atmosphere with good food under $10, you've found the right place. There are only 4 breakfast combos, but you will get your meal hot, but don't be rushed for time because Lucky does it all himself. However, he actually does it quite well.

It's a very odd but chill vibe. Older gentleman running the show all on his own. The food is very basic. Small menu but super inexpensive. It's unique. Tiny Dive diner that brings you to the past.

Lucky has been a San Diego Icon for decades. Genuine and caring and a dedicated man. His meals are delicious and exactly what you need. The welcoming atmosphere and the fact that he does everything himself is phenomenal and speaks for the man himself. May God’s richest of blessings always be with him!!! 🥰💕🙏

Luckys is no nonsense breakfast. It’s exactly what you need and nothing more. This place feels like it’s a Time Capsule, very clean and the owner does everything himself. Super cute north park gem that I hope sticks around long past lucky himself

This place is the best, one of North Park’s real OG spots. Lucky is so sweet. No bells and whistles, just a simple breakfast for a great price :)

Love Lucky. Best and fast sit down classic diner that is cheap with bomb nomz. This diner is one of the last few establishments in North Park that still stands beyond gentrification and covid. Great breakfast diner owned by our beloved Wong!!! Love supporting what few remnants North Park has from being a historically Asian neighborhood. Last time we went here he shared really good Mauna Loa chocolates with everyone love the friendly customer service.

Very cute, classic diner with punch-out countertop seating. Menu is small but offers enough options to satisfy anyone looking for a fast, wholesome breakfast or brunch.

If youre looking for that OG type of breakfast, eggs bacon hashbrowns and toast, but are too lazy to cook, this is the spot. So simple yet satisfying and gets you full. And for the price?! Oh man. The sweet lil ol man is adorable, he runs the restaurant alone but the service was fast and food was very fresh and hot! Definitely a place to visit if you want that cozy home breakfast style. Would come again and again!!

Amazing place the older men spoke to us like family, cracking jokes and making it feel comfortable. Asking questions to get to know us as we eat, overall making our first time such a great experience.

Vintage hidden diner. This is authentic. It's a one-man show, so don't come here if you're in a rush or looking for the trendy new spot with mimosa's etc. This menu is simple. This is a feature not a bug! I got the #1; comes with Eggs, Hash Browns, Toast, Coffee + Bacon (2$ extra). All said I paid 10 bucks with tip for the kind of breakfast I like to start my day with. It reminds me of a little asian-americana cafe I visited in San Francisco many years ago. As another poster put it, these places are going extinct.

Moving to San Diego 13 years ago was one of the best things I could have done. But as a New Yorker, I missed eating the way I would back home. I love the simplicity of the menu, speed at which it is cooked and the man himself. Mr. Lucky. You come here because the menu is only one page and is straight to the point. Remember to have cash. No cards accepted, and enjoy.
