We were blown away by the food at Yakyudori tonight! Karaaga, Tamagoyaki, Chicken Katsu, Tsukune, Takoyaki... I can't recommend these fun izakaya foods enough! Such a calm, cool, and fun atmosphere, with attentive staff. We loved ordering on the tablet and being able to customize everything we ordered. We will definitely be back to try the ramen next time!
This is really an excellent Yakitori restaurant. I love the fact that they have a self order electronic system on your table (an iPad with the menu that you order from). You can order what you like, when you like. The food is fresh, hot, and tasty.
This is the prefect place to unwind with friends, and relax after a hard day.
TIP:
You don’t need to order everything at one time. Order a small amount at a time, and add to your order as your meal progresses. The electronic order system makes this the best way to enjoy your Yakitori!
I recently tried the ramen at Yakyudori, and it was a truly delightful experience. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles perfectly cooked, and the toppings were fresh and well-balanced. I highly recommend it to any ramen enthusiast! They have a nice ambiance and some promo to get followers on Instagram and all staff was so nice and fun. Love it! Definitely coming back
Like their other location, Hinotez, this place does not disappoint. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and excellent authentic Izakaya type food. The Sapporo pitcher was very cold and fresh tasting. The karage was cooked perfectly imo in a very flavorful batter. The gyoza was excellent and the unagi bowl was perfect. We really enjoyed ourselves and we shall be back for sure.
Great late night place to go for Yakitori, Ramen and Sushi. Staff were all friendly and attentive.
Dropped by here for a wuick early dinner to wait out traffic before driving back up. Their ramen were delicious! Ramen tend to be on the salty side but Yakyudori's ramen broth was just right. It has generous slices of meat as well.
Service was fast and servers were attentive.
One of those places where you can get an "authentic" (without sounding pretentious) izakaya experience - very good service and order delicious, actual Japanese food - not "fusion" trash - and drinks from a tablet.
We were a party of 3 and went last Friday night around 6 pm. They don’t take reservations, and it was busy. We waited over 30 minutes. They don’t have a waiting area and it was very cold outside. They don’t allow drinks inside. I wanted to buy a hot drink from Starbucks next door to warm up but didn’t want to dump an expensive drink because we will be seated. There is a waiting list that we put our name with phone number. The front host was very nice. We ordered our items on an iPad and it is easy. The ramen is very tasty and my tempura soft shelled crab was delicious. Our server was efficient.
Solid place. They had humorous waiters, and also fun deals for Padres gear and Padres games going on.
Deep fried oysters, takoyaki, eel skewer and beef skewers were really good.
These guys will have a repeat customer from me. Also it may be interesting to try their ramen challenge in the future..
This place imo is known for yakitori so their small grilled items. Their ramen and currys are standard.
Yakitori 10/10: good selection, flavor. Chicken liver, beef tongue and eel are my go to.
Ramen 6.5/10: a slight bit lower than standard. No real flavor from broth, egg is barely seasoned, near zero spice and adding more chili powder doesnt help.
Atmosphere 9/10: parking can be bad. Place is small. The music is perfect for late 90s or early 00's kids.
Service 10/10: no complaints.
Price $$: $30 before tip for a big meal.
Excellent ramen, up there at the top. The restaurant is wedge between a starbux and a glasses place so might be tough to spot but it's well worth if are into authentic ramen. Prices were very reasonable. A casual dining experiance that I I will visit again most definitely.
I love this yakotori place in Convoy st. The skewers were well flavored and super tender and delicious. We definitely recommend if you're near the area.

Amazing food, service, and it was cool that we can order through an iPad whenever we wanted more. Loved the eggplant, katsu chicken, and beef. Was my favorite restaurant during my trip here, so I'll definitely be back
Awesome Ramen, always busy, Johnny the server made the night a lot better after our food took a while to come out. It was just super busy and they compensated our food. Respect. My recommendation is to add veggies to the ramen... see pictures $5 special Ramen
