Tii Leos Mexican food is one of the best Mexican food restaurants around in Carmel Valley 92130. No frills, nothing fancy but good authentic food, large portions & reasonably priced. Who needs a fancy mexican restaurant with awful tasting food when you can have the best. Hands down Tio Leos is the best. Good tequilla too.

Regardless of what I have to say, I must give Tio's a 5 star rating. We went to your newest location, the Cantina in Poway this past Saturday, but will tell you we will not be going back. The food was excellent along with the service, but does not have the warm feel or atmosphere that the other locations have. Guess it I am spoiled but it is not the same as what we are used to. I have loved Tio Leo's since the day they opened in Mira Mesa. We need you to come back please.

I had Tio Leo's cater an event for 300 people. Frank and his staff were awesome, the food was great and plentiful and it was very reasonable. THANK YOU.

I had a crispy quesadilla and it was delicious! The young waitress was really sweet and amiable. I would go back! 1. Crispy quesadilla 2. Strawberry margarita (poor lighting... looks orange!)

This place is amazing for a quick bite or some drinks. Relax here and have fun with the whole experience with the live band. This is more of a white person type of country folk, but always friendly and amazing. The drafts on beer are short but they're good. The mixed drinks are much to be desired. Overall great place to host family and friends or events. Or to just come down for a great night. I highly recommend.

This was my first visit to Tio Leos. I was there for lunch The food was pretty good. The service was friendly and helpful-once I finally got their attention. The margaritas were tasty, not too weak nor too strong. The prices for lunch seemed a little high. I didn't see any signage or notices of lunch specials but I was hoping that there might be some offered during lunch. I don't know if I'd visit Tio Leo's again but it was good that I finally stopped by for a meal.

We go for the Sunday nite jazz which is wonderful. More survalence needs to happen to keep the talkative folks from spoiling the music. We appreciate what holly has done but I believe we need to push this limit further.

Becoming one of my favorite bars. The bands are always stellar, the place is clean, Leonard the bartender is super sweet and tentative, everyone who comes is there for the love of music and dance, can't ask for more!

This is our first time in this restaurant. We went because our favorite local band BetaMaxx was playing. We ate at the bar and our server was awesome. She was very friendly and attentive. We had the carnitas plate and it was tasty. The bus boy was very attentive and gave us complimentary chips and salsa right away. The band was awesome and glad we went.

I dinned in the Tio Leoā€™s, the service was OK. The food was great. The atmosphere was fun. The band playing in the other room was very loud though and you could hear it in the restaurant part and it was only dinner time. I guess it was an early bird show food was great again and the atmosphere was OK so Iā€™m gonna give it a four out of five.

I went over because a.San Diego event site said that they had salsa music and dancing there on Mondays only to find out that they do not do that anymore. We ate there anyway and split the plate that had cheese enchilada, Chile relleno, tostada, and taco. It was a good sample and was definitely shareable.

I've been eating at Tio Leo's for over 30 years. I've been to all of their locations. This time was like old times, great! The only issue was the slow service due to few employees during a busy lunch time. Other than that the food was great and the chips and salsa were great. I hope they never go out of business. I hope the owners invest in new booths because they are very worn out.

Iā€™ve only eaten in the barā€™s lounge. I come here for the great live music and they have a decent sized (though somewhat small) dance floor. There usually is a cover but the bands are great, and you can get food and drinks, so itā€™s a pretty good evening out especially if you donā€™t feel like cooking on some night. Bands start at 7:00pm which is perfect for dinner first while here. I donā€™t come here for the food, or the speed of service. Those things are ok. Some nights better than others. Really nice staff!!

I have now been here twice, both times for Sunday Jazz Night, which is incredibleā€¦but my review is a bit different. Itā€™s not about the food although my vegetarian burrito was incredible. Itā€™s not about the drinks, but my Mai Tai was fantastic. Itā€™s about the level of exemplary service I was given by Leonard. He is one of the most cheerful, kind, attentive people you could ever meet. He went above and beyond, educating me about the vegetarian options and even gave recommendations of how to make the burrito even yummier by adding roasted onions and bell peppers and he recommended getting my avocado and pico on the side since the burrito gets heated. On top of that, he ran around the restaurant helping people who needed assistance with getting seated. I caught a pic of him helping this sweet man make his way outside. And last Sunday there was standing room only and I stood against the back wall for 2 hours. One of the bartenders came to me and asked me if Iā€™d like a drink because I was so kind so stay out of the way of the staff. ā€œThis oneā€™s on meā€ she said. I am beyond impressed. Many people work to collect a paycheck. And thatā€™s fine. But these two humans are all about quality, efficiency and treating you with kindness and respect. I highly recommend Leonard and sadly I didnā€™t get the name of the other server. I will be back regularly especially now that I know they have live music every night and dancing on Mondays!

If you want a little of everything get the Ole' to share. Also they have the best entertainment for date night or girls night out. Alex is the best bartender and gives the best service ever!!!
