The crust has so much Flavor. So fast and actually bigger pizza's than PIE-5. (Similar concept, but much more flavor!)
Best pizza place ever!! I really love this place besides that employees are really nice I always recommend this place to all my friends!!
You guys are heaven on a pie, its what we needed here in Eastvale..... Pizza the way we want it. SO good SO fresh..the crust is to die for. Its heaven for thin crust fans. ALL KINDS of toppings, I go all veggie....and just...the taste is amazing.
Love when we are in the area (northern Jacksonville, FL) so we can stop in for a "make your own" pizza. The best we've ever had...I recommend it to everyone I talk to!
Blaze pizza place is one of my favorite places to get pizza from! I love that you can choose your own toppings and really make it your own with it all costing the same price! Plus they are made so fast and still taste yummy! I will definitely go again!
"Pizza near Me" in Google took me to this place, students who are working in school work here and they look after the customers very well. Well we ordered a Vegan Pizza with Artichoke and few other toppings and it was wow fantastic.. will definitely go to this place again :)
Blaze Pizza is awesome because you can have your pizza with as many toppings as you wish. It's also fast and affordable! The only thing I can think that would make it better would be a larger variety of beer. But the pizza is good and the staff is friendly.
Blaze Pizza is another one of those “build-your-own” pizza joints. S isn’t a big pizza fan, but somehow our friend A and I convinced him to try it with us. Blaze Pizza is located next to Dickey’s Barbecue Pit on Balboa Ave. The store was pretty empty when we visited just before noon on a Saturday – the lunch crowd started showing up as we were eating, though.
In 2012 we heard about this fast style of pizza where you could add your own toppings and they’d bake it for you. The first place we tried it was at 800 degrees in Westwood. We were hooked. Good price point, endless toppings, and it came out fast. Flash forward to 2015 and there are numerous chains out there like Pieology, Project Pie, and Pizza Rev all vying for your business. Almost all of these new pizza places work the same way. Choose your sauce and toppings and wait a few minutes for a piping hot personalized pizza to come your way. The first time we tried it we went a little crazy on toppings and said “give me everything!” This turned out to not be the best decision because it was just too many things going on. On this day, we weren’t noobs anymore. Since everything costs the same if you decide to customize a pizza, pretty much anything is game. For the first pizza we decided to try two of their pre-selected options on one pie. On the left you have the Art Lover and on the right is the Green Stripe. What makes the Art Lover different is there is no sauce on the bottom of the pizza. Instead they put a few dollops of marinara sauce on the top after they put mozzarella, ricotta, artichokes, and garlic on top. I didn’t think I’d like it because I want my sauce where it normally goes and I thought it wouldn’t be enough since I like extra sauce. But it actually was pretty good and exceeded my expectations. Next time I’d add more artichokes. For the Green Stripe it came with chicken, pesto, red peppers, garlic, mozzarella, and arugula. The pesto was nice and I didn’t miss the marinara too much. But if I had to choose I’d pick the Art Lover for its simplicity and yummy marinara.
The menu here at Blaze Pizza is pretty simple. They have “Signature Pizzas” which make it easier to decide on something if choosing your own toppings is too much pressure for you. The Signature Pizzas and Build Your Own Pizza are both $7.95 and you can get whatever your little heart desires in terms of toppings...
You may recall, I previously visited the Blaze Pizza at the Carlsbad Outlets, and out of all the custom-built pizza chains that have opened in San Diego in the last year (and I’ve tried nearly all of them), my favorite has been the Blaze chain, which is why I was excited that they were opening one closer to me. Both signature pies and build your own pies are priced at $7.95. One of the things I really like about Blaze is that they offer a white sauce and a spicy red, which most of the other chains don’t have (usually your choices are red or no sauce). There’s a good amount of toppings to choose from (about 22), including half a dozen different cheeses. The assembly line was quick and efficient and our total time from enter to sit down was less than five minutes, and that included paying for our food.
Choose-your-own-ingredients pizza place has a good selection of meats, vegetables, and cheeses to choose from. There are also a few pre-set combinations or 1-item, 2-item ones available if you don’t want to choose.
There’s plenty of inside and outside seats. The only downside is the outside seats are very, very dirty. If you see them, you would immediately worry about the sanitation of the outside tables and the rest of the restaurant.
I had a great experience at Blaze Pizza! Their custom pizzas are fantastic, featuring fresh ingredients and a wide variety. The taste and quality are consistently top-notch. The staff is friendly and contributes to a welcoming atmosphere. My only suggestion would be to improve the speed of pizza preparation, but it's a minor point in an otherwise excellent dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious pizza!
Excellent experience at Blaze Pizza. You'll see how they prep and cook your pizza in a timely matter. The wood fired oven adds an extra flavor to the pizza. Overall, the pizza is high quality and delicious. Highly recommended.
I arrived as a long shot thinking they wouldn’t have any vegan options. I figured just have them cook a pizza without cheese. I was wrong, they actually have a vegan pizza with vegan cheese and chorizo. Amazing. It does taste too good to be vegan cheese so I’m a little sus but I hope I’m wrong!
The make your own pizza doesn’t suck. Love the thin crust and all the options. Must have
hands down my favorite pizza place! i love how much i can personalize my order because i am a weirdo who eats pizza without cheese. i also appreciate the variety of toppings available. my favorites are artichoke hearts, mushrooms, and arugula, and i get to have unlimited amounts of it on my pizza!! well, as much as it would fit on my pizza-mountain. they also have at least 6 meats available all the time too. i enjoy rotating between combinations of different meats. my favorite meat combination of the month is salami with italian sausage and chicken — with extra red sauce! just to make things even better, they have the half-box that fits exactly half a pizza for when i want to save some for later!
First time eating at a blaze pizza and it was good and not too pricey. I would go again and I'm glad they have an out door patio so I can take my dog next time.
Mmmm! Blaze Pizza is awesome I have been a fan since the first day. Since I'm originally from New York I appreciate the crust and the fact that it's consistently good as I eat there at least once a week. It always lifts my spirits and the people who work there are very friendly and helpful and they make good pizza!
Do have a couple of delicious slices left over looking forward to another delicious lunch! Still good on the second day. I'm adding to this because just got another delicious pizza. And now I am hooked on their brownies! What's really impressive is they have some of the same people working there for years and they are always nice to everybody. It's one of the highlights of my week when I can have my Blaze Pizza. Don't know why I need to add more because nothing has changed except I have now taken some Blaze Pizza to friends who are not well and they loved it too.
I had lunch with some family members who were visiting from out of town. It was our first time trying Blaze Pizza. The food was delicious. David the manager took good care of us and made sure that we had a great experience.
Thank you!
They have great food and a friendly fun staff. The pizza is made in assembly line like subway you can put as many toppings as you like on the byo pizza
Blaze is by far the best of the build your own pizza type places. I have tried all of the other places like Blaze and to me, Blaze is absolutely the best. Their choice of ingredients is so much better and is always fresh, their cauliflower crust is also better than anywhere else that I have had yet, their salads are very good, and their pesto garlic is to die for.
I recommend trying this once: ask for classic or spicey sauce in the center of your pizza and then ask them to brush the garlic pesto on the outside (the crust). I've had people who were skeptical when I first brought them because they first wanted to try it plain. Once they tried the garlic pesto on the crust, there was no going back to plain. Everyone raves about it.
I also add arugula to it AFTER it comes out of the oven, but that part may not be for everyone unless they like arugula a lot.
I did a build your own pizza and it came out in no time. The portion size was large but filling for a good, hearty lunch. I was so amazed by how little time it took for the pizza to be made. Delicious!
