Absolutely amazing authentic tasting NY pizza! Definitely the best I've had in San Diego! The owners were SO friendly and helpful, greeting us with a free sample of garlic knots, and just all around being extremely friendly the entire visit.
The prices are extremely affordable, the places has a home feeling, but of course above all its just delicious! Check it out, you wont regret it!
I walked in about half an hour before closing after a long day. The blond man working was super kind, chill, and got me some great pizza in an instant. The kindness was exactly what I needed — thank you for having such an inviting atmosphere and welcoming staff!
I'm so lucky to work next door to this jem. The guy working is always friendly and serves up some of the best pizza around. The crust is perfection! The sauce is delish!
The pizza was fresh, and tasted really good. The staff is very friendly, and works fast. I will definitely be returning.
Joseph making the pie with Tony? at the counter. Great experience! Throw back NYC style pie palace. Great pizza, fair price, engaged staff and tasty pizza.
This is my favorite pizza in town! I wish the owner would give me a part time job here!!! Love it.
I'm from New York city and really miss my pizza from there, but coming here to this pizza store made me feel at home. Great pizza.
Hector helped me he was really nice.
This is a quiet, delicious place away from the main hustle and bustle! The service was quick and the pizza was really tasty. Plus, the music wasn't too loud, which is a nice change compare to downtown. Perfect for a quick bite after lunch!
This is a really solid piece of pizza. People are trying to do a lot with a slice or whole pizza but this pizzeria keeps it simple and to the point. It delivers in taste and aesthetic. This place is what you would think a small pizza joint would be. Small, a little warm, but the door is open and welcoming! The staff is engaging and wants to give you the best experience it can.
Really enjoyed this restaurant and the employee (owner?) that served us. Our kids were hungry after a tour of the Midway Museum and couldn't agree on anything to eat except pizza, so we found this place. There is a large homeless population right around the restaurant and across the street, which we were a bit put off by at first. The restaurant is small and simple inside, but the pizza was delicious and our kids loved it. They really enjoyed being able to get pizza by the slice, so everyone could have what they wanted. The slices were loaded into the brick oven and served nice and hot! Definitely recommended if you prefer a simple ambiance and good food.
Super quick service and a delicious variety of pizza! One of the best lunch deals around. $7 for 2 huge slices and a drink!
Hector makes this place awesome. Friendly, funny and man he knows how to make a good pizza.
Great sauce, great crust, very friendly service. What more can be said?
Their pizza and customer service is stellar. I would come here every week. The only complaint is that sometimes they are closed when they're supposed to be open. I came by at 3:30 (hours are 10-5 weekdays) during the week and the place was empty and locked up. I think if they were open weekends and evenings they'd make a lot more money.
Pizza is the best in downtown. Special 2slices plus a drink for $10!!
Best deal in downtown.
The BEST pizza I've ever eaten. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. The owner was enthusiastic and friendly and went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying the food. I highly recommend stopping in for a slice!
I’m from Boston and I miss the east coast dearly. But Brooklyn Pizzeria pizza is the closest when it comes to tasting East cost pizza! If you’ve never been, you must try a slice or two! I love garlic and they make garlic knots covered with fresh garlic! It smells as good as it taste! The owner and staff are very friendly too.
