The food was decent, but the girl who worked behind the counter (I’m sorry I don’t remember her name) was exceptionally polite and courteous. Very friendly and bubbly. She has braces, and long dark brown hair. Will return simply because of the service!

First time we've been here. Great food! The burger was cooked perfectly and my chicken sandwich was so good they took a picture of it for the Facebook page. Yum! Not to mention parmesan fries. And the staff was nice and friendly :) if you're not eating here right now, you're doing something wrong with your life.
First time there and I was greated by the awesome staff! Totally go above and beyond to make you comfortable in a very clean atmosphere. And btw, best damn "fries" I had EVER tasted. Sorry Mom. �
People are super nice, food is SUPER good, the butgers are huge, and they have a free style Cole machine which is always awesome.

I got the kids meal and a cookie and cream shake. The meal came with two little burgers with the option to include cheese. It also came with tater tots, and a drink. The kids loved their meal and the shake was good. The place was clean as well.
Ordered a San Jose from here and it came out wonderfully. The buns used here are firm and volumous and won't fall apart in your hands while eating, and the chipotle sauce used in it was moderately applied instead of drowning the burger in it. The kitchen is open view and well cleaned.
Always great food and service. It's pricey for a burger joint, but it is good quality organic grass-fed beef and other fresh, delicious, good-for-you ingredients... So, you get what you pay for. And it has this really nice family run vibe in Hillcrest. Another cool thing for the celiacs out there... They have gf buns for $2 extra (they do kinda fall apart, it might be better if it was toasted more, idk, but still tastes delish, albeit messy ;) )
If you happen to be at Hillcrest you have to try Cali O burgers. So juicy and flavorful. The meat cooked to the perfect timing not burnt not raw. Excellent client service from cashier and cook. Such flavor I did not expect. Will definitely devour it again.
Cool burger joint with lot of options. They have the usual burgers you would expect with grass fed beef. They also have some interesting options like ostrich and elk burgers. They also have a great salad menu.
The service was great and fast. I really like the soda machine with so many options to choose from.
I would totally recommend this place and plan on going back there soon.
BEST burger place in San Diego. Friendly staff, AMAZING FOOD. It's perfect. The patties arent too salty and their sauces are BOMB. Simple and classic, and also surprises you with a little kick.

Fries were a bit greasy (garlic fries) but different and really good, the turkey burger was decent. Lots of options to choose from, but a little high on the price. 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 drinks will run you about $35. Great small burger joint with nice staff.
Decided to eat here before going to a bar (The Merrow) across the street. So glad that we did. The burgers were cooked to.perfection and the grass fed beef was truly a stand out. I ordered the Anaheim Burger with Anaheim Peppers, pepperjack cheese, grilled onions, and chipotle aoli. The cheese was melted over top of the peppers and onions and made for a delicious mixture of sweet and spicy. They have a good selection of both draft and bottled beers and the cafe was nicely lit and inviting coupled with outdoor seating for those with pets as well. Will definitely be returning soon.

Burgers were nicely made, I orders the La Jolla my dining mate the California or maybe it was just cali anyway. I really don't care for hamburgers I would go back again. Also ordered the Parmesan Fries they could do waaaaaay better on that it was just a huge portion of shoestring potatoes w/parm and parsley on them not worth the extra money. Now the selection of natural sodas was great I ordered a ginger beer was fantastic.

My friends favorite place, but not mine :/ this is a great spot for meat eaters. And while I appreciate their efforts to cater to vegans and vegetarians, they haven't quite nailed it.
Great staff clean restaurant. A great spot for a quick bite to eat. I love their tater tots and sweet potato fries. They have a simple menu that consists of only Burgers salads and sides, which I like. I typically go with their Fresno Burger which is a vegan option. The Patty is made of quinoa and other vegetables instead of the typical white rice. You can get that in place on any of their burger options. This burger comes in right under $10 which is a good deal.
To my surprise and Delight they started offering the beyond meat vegan Patty. This set me back $14! More expensive than any other Burger on the menu not cool. Not only that as you can see in the picture it is nothing like what is advertised. The Patty was so thin you could barely see it. Grant it I opted for the Cabbage wrap instead of bun this meal left much to be desired. The actual Taste of the Patty was incredible I just wish it was a little more substantial as the picture suggested.
I would not pay that much for that burger again. As I said this rating was for stars because it's a great place with a great staff and a good menu.
The O in Calio stands for organic which I think is a nice option. Located in a the heart of Hillcrest it's a great option for a quick Burger.
Don't forget to ask for all of their sauces when you order there wonderful sides.
Very good service. Very tasty food. I had the San Diegan burger with their twisty fries. Burger seasoned deliciously and cooked spot on. Chorizo chili was delicious and the fries were fresh and had an excelled flavor with their light seasoning. Good stuff.
