Royal Grill is our new fav. We go once a week and try different things on the menu. Love the lentil soup, best I've ever had, and the skewered wings are to die for. Hubby loves the hamburger with gyro meat on top. He says it's totally gourmet.

Royal Grill Cuisine is amazing!! I went for my first time a few nights ago with my boyfriend and our friend and we were all very happy with our meals. We started out with the feta fries and lentil soup. Those were the best fries I've ever had, hands down. You need to try those. The lentil soup was delicious and comes with fresh pita bread, I would definitely order that again. For dinner, I ordered the greek salad and added falafels to it. The salad was great, but it's all about the falafels. They are huge and obviously made fresh in house. They had so much flavor and were crunchy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. I put some of their house made hot sauce on them, and it was amazing. I hope they look into bottling that hot sauce, because I want to put it on everything. My friend got the chicken salad and she loved it. My boyfriend loves gyros and ordered the sandwich and was blown away. Best gyros he's ever had. The service was fantastic, James is so knowledgeable and helpful. He made sure our drinks were always filled and checked in to make sure everything tasted great. Royal Grill also donated proceeds from their grand opening to Passion for Pitties, a dog rescue I work with. We are so grateful for their support and I can't wait to come back and try the hummus. So excited to have found my new favorite mediterranean spot! Thank you RGC!!!

Amazing food. Had the Gyro salad which had very generous cuts of meat. The service is outstanding as well. Very laid back atmosphere. Prices fair too.

Everything here is made fresh and you can taste the difference. I usually get the gyro plate or sandwich depending on how hungry I am. The kabobs are also delicious. The soups taste homemade. I recommend both the vegetable and the lentil. I've had friends who tell me that the curry and burgers are really good but I've never tried them. There are a few reserved spots in front and I've never had a problem with parking. The owner is super nice.

Royal Grill is AMAZING!! The owner is so friendly and makes great conversations. The food is unbelievably good!! It is always fresh and so full of flavor. My wife and I come here multiple times throughout the week. I cannot stress enough how great this place is, not to mention how reasonable the prices and food portions are. We also love his homemade hot sauce! I personally am stuck on the beef and lamb doner and my wife is obsessed with the chicken kabob plate. However, EVERYTHING we ever had at Royal Grill has been DELICIOUS!! If you haven't been here, please do go!! You will not be disappointed.

Unexpected treasure. Pita bread is fresh and some of the best in San Diego. Great hummus. Delicious chicken and beef kabobs. Awesome fresh gyro salad. Amazing lentil soup. I could go on and yes I’ve tried it all. Parking can be tough at peak times so get in here early! You will not be disappointed.

PHENOMENAL!!!! I rarely write reviews but this place is so amazing that I had to share. The food is fresh, tastes delicious and great prices. My favorite dish is the chicken kebab plate. I would also recommend the beef/lamb doner and chicken curry dish. But seriously, everything I’ve ever ordered is delicious. The owner also makes a special hot sauce that goes great with everything. I want literally want to put that sauce on everything! My husband and I come here weekly and we’re never disappointed. When we move out of San Diego soon we will truly miss Royal Grill. So hard to find such great flavorful Mediterranean food.

FIRST THINGS FIRST, THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. This was my first time here and the food was worth coming back for. I plan to come back. The pita was absolutely delish and the chicken kebob was perfectly seasoned. We went today at 11am with 4 of us. It took a little bit for him to get set up, but it was no problem. We were happy to wait and chat. The place was clean, and well spaced out. The server was prompt and super friendly but also left us alone to talk.

The best Mediterranean restaurant in San Diego. The falafel blows other places out of the water. The chicken kebabs are delicious, tender and juicy. Beef kebabs also have great flavor and tenderness. And the pita and hummus are also excellent. Also, they bring a homemade hot sauce to the table that I’m addicted to. And the rice...I could go on and on. This place puts the extra effort in to be the best.

The food here is so good! Delicious flavors. The Royal Fries are amazing and my mom said it’s the best salmon she’s had in San Diego. Definitely recommend. And the owner is so nice.

We've been in San Diego for 5 days and have eaten here 3 times. The owner is friendly, the food is fresh, delicious, and very reasonably priced. We have been satisfied with all 6 entrees we have tried. Try it--you won't be disappointed.

Very good quality food. Falafels were different and better than others I've had. Recommended. It was empty when we had lunch and its a pity. You should try it. We liked it so much that we came back later this week. We like the falafels and lentil soup. The hummus and bread is also very good.

The gyro here is ridiculously good!!! I got the Royal fries and they were absolutely delicious, stayed crispy and had good flavor. My group tried the dolmas and the spanakopita and enjoyed both. This place is a sit down restaurant with good service and while it's a bit on the expensive side, we all felt it was worth it.

I love this place because the food is so good! Everything is made in house from scratch! The portions are large and the staff is always super nice! I never liked hummus until this place! This the only hummus I will eat! We will definitely be coming back time and time again!

As Mediterranean restaurants go, this one is a unique find. Even just entering and looking at the decor you already know that someone from that part of the world is involved and doing it right. Food that follows is a confirmation of that proposition. Everything looks and tastes authentic without lame attempts to "adapt to the locals" as many such places try. Lamb kebab was the star of my lunch and I would eat that any time. Rice that came with it was also perfectly cooked, fluffy and fragrant. Salad was fresh and delicious and service was impeccable. The Sampler platter is easily a meal for 2 on its own and features in house prepared falafel, samosas and hummus. What surprised me was the use of sumac, which is not common around here and definitely contributed to the quality of the meal. Dessert was described as Mango and sticky rice with rosewater, so we decided to try it. Great as it was, it is not mango and sticky rice, but rather a very good rice pudding topped with half an apricot (see picture) and is worth trying. All in all we were very happy with the experience and will be bringing the extended family for lunch soon.

Oh my! By far, the best Mediterranean food for the money in all of San Diego. Every single item the four of us had was awesome! (We all commented how happy each of our stomachs were afterward.)
