Great Saturday night spot with live music, easy-going vibes, Japanese-themed gastropub-esque decor, fun cocktails and a full service sushi bar. Variety of Asian Fusion cuisine options from ramen to bao buns to sushi rolls served with fresh ingredients and vibrant presentations...the sashimi and shishito peppers are a great combo! Customer service was attentive and friendly even on a busy night with many guests! Lots more to explore on the menu and will be back soon! Shout-out to Chef Will for the gorgeous sashimi presentation!

Stopped at Wokou for a quick bite and beer. I had the Tokyo Tots. Oh my goodness are they a flavorful and decadent twist on a childhood favorite... tater tots. Fried tater tots topped with pork belly chasu, spicy mayo, okonomiyaki sauce, green onion, shaved benito and shredded nori. I had never had okonomiyaki sauce. It tastes like sweet and sour sauce and Worcestershire sauce had a love child. It is amazing. This dish is an umami bomb. A must try. I came back and tried the fried crab sticks... mostly because I couldn't imagine what it was. Light, crispy batter outside, tender crab inside. Came with a lemon aioli. For $3 during happy hour I would consider them a bargain. I also tried the happy hour Wokou fried rice. Portion is huge. It is loaded with bacon, chicken, beef and topped with green onions, furitake and a fried egg.

Ordered from here during the stay at home order and got both some bao and ramen. They packaged it really well so it was clean and did not spill! They separated the broth and toppings for the ramen which was great. Everything was really tasty and flavorful. I liked the different tastes and combinations in the dishes. I look forward to coming back when they are open for in house dining!

I have come to love this place. I come out of the Mission beach area just to have lunch here. The service during the lunch time hours is by far the best I have had a chance to experience. The food is absolutely worth the price, fresh fish sushi with new and creative appetizer dishes has made this an unbelievable find for me personally. I highly recommend this establishment, and that is a rarity for me to say anything about a restaurant.

First time at Wokou. The server was very friendly, attentive but not suffocating. We each had the garlic Ramen and had it made extra spicy. It was delicious and fresh. I would recommend trying if you haven't already been here.

I Love Wokou Ramen in Carmel Valley! This restaurant has an amazing vibe with beautiful murals and lovely seating both indoors and outdoors. I could go every week for delicious Ramen and Bao buns. All the food is incredible and so are the cocktails!! Then to top all that off, there is a fantastic staff. Alex and Erin are friendly, fun and attentive. I highly recommend this Gem of a restaurant and Bar; you will love it!

I rate this as such.... Great food our family enjoys it... With that being said. We usually have no issues with the staff but on the recent visit my wife had to look for the host to seat us .. She waited 6 or so minutes before she went to look for the host.... The chef said he was over there ( pointing to the bar) yup he took some shots... Not very professional

Awesome and unusual collection of beers, Shrimp dishes are great! Chicken, could be better I listened to the story of this matriculate Japanese beer maker with his specially crafted beer that this place receives exclusively, got interested and tried and it was such a pleasant surprise. The story goes that the beer maker once learned that his shipment was not kept at its optimal temperature and he got so dismayed that he ordered the large shipment thrown away before it go the the restaurant!
