Love their Carlsbad location and tried down at Mission Valley near Costco. Was Great! Same quality and tried the spicy garlic edamame which were awesome. Friendly and quick service. Easy parking and location.

Have you ever had a bad boy? Well, I am telling you it is probably the yummiest thing in their menu. It might even be my favorite sushi roll in San Diego. The rolls come out fast, and the service is reliable. I would definitely go back. Also, make sure you don't miss the ice cream 🍨 😋 it is delicious!

One of my go to spots for their lunch special! Spicy sesame chicken bento box is my go to! Plenty of food. Cost $14.50 My wife ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box and we split a sweet Hawaiian roll. We were really hungry but I think the roll was not needed, but is an awesome choice! Always greeted here by friendly staff and consistent service!

Great casual sushi place. They have a “happy hour” section of the menu where all of the rolls are half off all day. This is a great deal and their rolls are decent. Additionally, the garlic edamame is pretty good as well. Parking is usually okay but the location can be hard to get to since the entrance is close to the Costco gas entrance. The serving time is pretty fast and the handrolls are good!

It was my first time checking this place out with my boyfriend. I think I saw a friend post it on Instagram or something so when I was looking for a new sushi restaurant to try near University Heights it came to mind and wasn't far at all. For appetizers we got the spicy garlic edamame because we always love that and then the gochu (fried stuffed jalapenos). Both were delicious but especially the crispiness and crunchiness of the fried items here was better than any other sushi place I've been to. We ordered 4 sushi rolls. The Mango Roll, Star Wars Roll, Todo Roll, and the California Beach Roll. All of them were delicious in their own way. But I really enjoyed the mango roll since that's a flavor combination I've never tried and it worked really well. I also loved the Todo Roll if you're looking for something more "fresh" and light.

Best sushi in the area and the sushi is half off if you eat in. The Korean food is also very tasty. The sushi is very fresh and delicious

The name sounds "dirty 🤪" but they are the bomb~ Loved everything! From the sushi, tempura, and udon to the delicious green tea tempura ice cream and macaroon ice cream! Do be careful about how much you get cause the price adds up, but I say it's worth! The servers were really nice and made sure we had everything and was good. We sat in the outside area, but we were warm from the cool fire heaters they had when we asked them to turn one on. Would definitely come back, especially when I saw a post on their window that you get a free green tea tempura ice cream if it's your birthday month!!

Location was great and there was ample parking. I was able to sit immediately and was greeted by very attentive servers. The goods are the edamame, specifically the garlic one. Salty. Garlic, good. I got miso soup as well and forgot to take a picture, but it was salty and a good pallet cleanser. The Vegas roll was nice and crispy and it tasted fresh. This place is good for a nice dinner and it also has good happy hour deals on both sushi and drinks! Ample seating inside and outside. Salmon sashimi was buttery but some pieces were a little thin. The bads, the pork gyoza was very salty. The green tea ice cream didn't really taste like anything. Overall would come back here again.

Favorite "happy hour" sushi spot in SD, and same for the location. The outside seating is better than other Sushi Kuchi locations, and the quality for some reason seems better as well. Parking is better at this location and it just doesn't get as loud as the PB one. The best thing about their happy hour sushi is that it's always on the menu and not limited to a specific time frame. I always recommend this place, and really any of the Sushi Kuchi locations.

Excellent sushi place! The indoor dining is not back up to full capacity yet, so it's kind of messy inside. We ate outside, and it was pretty nice overall, a little chilly in the evening though. We got three rolls and edamame, the Awesome Roll, Sunshine Roll, and the Ninja Roll. All of them were good but the Awesome roll was the best, really great quality sushi. The meat quality and texture were super high, more than the price for sure. The pricing was pretty good, especially on the 50% menu. Definitely will go here again. Hot tea is 2.50.

This place was alright overall. The food wasn't anything super great but they did have some really good garlic edamame. The softshell crab was just all breading, no meat. Everything else I tried was just ok. Service was good and staff were friendly and engaging.

Stumbled on this place while in the area for an appointment. What a find! The staff was so welcoming, friendly and seemed to genuinely care about each customer's experience. The sushi rolls were excellent. They were fresh and SUPER flavorful. The Kuchi Roll was delicious and so was the California Beach Roll. The California Beach Roll has a strong eel sauce flavor, in case that is not your thing. I loved it! Now my only problem is that I absolutely have to eat those again...and I need to try every roll on the menu. ;)

Sushi Kuchi was a favorite sushi restaurant when we lived in Mission Valley. We have since moved 25 minutes away, and they are still our favorite and worth the drive. The specialty rolls have a generous portion and are excellent! Our favorites are Tuna Tataki and House roll. The staff is always very friendly and provide great service.

Great sushi place! Group of us stopped by after a jujitsu tournament in San Diego, the hostess was such an amazing person, checked on us often since we were a group of 13 trying to eat, she got us in and seated and the server was right there to great us. Wish I could list all that we ate but you can see by the pics, sushi was spot-on. If your a sushi lover like we are, need a beer and fantastic food, here’s your stop!

Great casual sushi spot with a large menu selection with quick and friendly service. We went on a Saturday afternoon and many of the options were 50% off which was great. They have an outdoor section which is dog friendly as well. Definitely worth a stop!

Just moved to the area and had our first meal here; it was great! You mark whatever you want on the paper and they bring everything out pretty quickly even though it was busy. Have been here once again since the first time and both the food and service has been consistent.

One of my favorite sushi restaurants in town. Great tasting sushi and fast service. Very affordable as well. The downside is the parking lot. You share it with McDonald’s and is always filled. You normally have to park in IKEA and walk over. Also there were a lot of flies inside the dining room.

Good food and quite organized. The staff was very friendly but service a little slow. The dumplings were amazing and sushi pretty good.
