4.5/5. The reason for less than five is the location since it is hard and pricey to find parking in Downtown despite being near to Horton Plaza. Taste wise, it's close to those in Hawaii with the choices of almost everything. Loving the firmness of the fish, but unfortunately a lil bland, although it is being compensated by the dressings which we can mix ourselves (yahooo) Anthony and Leanne are very welcoming. The #shakeitup method of dressing the proteins is innovative. Looking fwd to patroning another joint when it opens up outside Downtown.

This is my first poke experience and it won't be my last! I'm a big fan of sushi and poke seems to be a more "approachable version" of sushi. What I like about this place (I can't speak or compare to others) is that you can custom-build your poke bowl and choose your toppings and sauce. They shake the poke with the sauce to combine the flavors (instead of manhandling it). Don't worry if you can't decide what kind of sauce to pick — they have all their sauces and extra toppings on their condiment bar if you'd like to try more. My husband thought their spicy sauce could be spicier (but he likes VERY spicy food - "regular" spicy doesn't even register with him). Their bowls are reasonably priced and quite generous: Regular will run you about $9 for 3 scoops of seafood Large is $11 for 5 scoops of seafood The avocado and crabmeat choices are included in the price but if you choose to have and extra scoop, it will be an additional $1. It is a bit loud in there so It was hard to shout my order across the glass barrier (plus, I'm short) but the staff seemed to expertly lip-read my requests. My family loved their poke bowls and have been asking to go back since we visited about a week ago. Disclosure: My friend owns the restaurant but this review is my honest opinion, and reflects a lot of what has been posted about this restaurant so far!! Give The Poke Co. a try!

Picture is of the extra large bowl with 5 proteins (double salmon double tuna and shrimp). Lots of nice free toppings to choose from. The place was empty when I went, but the fish was fresh and didn't appear to have been sitting there. I asked for half brown rice and half salad as base and they said OK. Would recommend doing the same. Enjoy!

My girlfriend and I love poke, and we were very happy with what we got here. Their large poke bowl allows you to choose 5 meats which was fantastic. The staff were friendly and took good care of us. The bathrooms were clean, and they also have all their sauces available by the drinking fountain in case you need more or want to try something else.

Poke bowls aren't usually first on my list of go-tos for lunch options, but I really enjoyed the poke bowl here. It was DELICIOUS! I love all the options for toppings and proteins and sauces. Major plus is you can get one scoop of avocado and one scoop of crab meat for no extra charge. AND they have boba! I got the guava green tea and it was a nice treat with my lunch. I would definitely come back here!

Excellent service, quality and location in downtown San Diego. I have visited twice since their opening early July 2017 once for dinner and again at lunch and had a great experience each time. Wide selection of toppings and proteins plus sauces that you are able to sample before selection and staff are eager to assist and give recommendations per your taste. There is a side bar "sauce station" with all the spices, chili sauce and specialty sauces available if you would like to add more to your bowl as you make your way through your delicious meal. One scoop of avocado and one scoop of crab are included in the base price but additional scoops of premium toppings can be added for an additional fee. The miso soup is delicious if you like a soup to accompany your bowl and a variety of desserts are available from coffee and boba drinks to sorbets. They have a Stubborn soda fountain which is made with fair trade sugar cane and no HFCS. Metered parking available downtown or you can park at Horton Plaza mall and walk down 4th ave to reach this location on F st. Enjoy!

Love this place. Large bowl for $13 with generous portions, no extra charge for avocado. This is how it’s done!

This place is fire, really cheap for so much raw fish. Perfect place if you don't wanna pay 30-40 bucks for this much sashimi.
