They turned the quality upside down. Good experience. Asked them to extra toast dutch crunch, extra sauce, several back and forth requests and the staff executed well. They did make it with love this time.

This specific location.
Messed up order. I don’t think they made it with love. Gave our order to some other customer. What’s the point of 18% gratuity
when we got our’s, the dutch crunch bread wasn’t toasted. It was cold and soggy.
Later they told that the staff is new & in training period & offered to make another one. I did not want to waste food so ended up eating this one.
Well..there I was kicking my keys down Polk street when all the sudden I spotted my old fishing pal Rodney TwoRods coming out of the meat market on the corner carrying a smile like he just got away with something, and he probably did.
Let's have lunch he said, there's a Ike's Love Sandwich shop right up the street, they make the best sandwiches, so off we went.

Good quality food, but a little pricey. Two sandwiches and two drinks came to $32. This location was understaffed as there were only two people working in the evening and they were getting slammed by the doordash and GrubHub drivers. But kudos to them as they kept their cool and remained friendly and professional. I look forward to stopping by before a show at the Great American music Hall again

Pretty good sandwiches. Needs plenty of napkins. I Ordered the love triangle sandwich with chips and drink. I would definitely go back and try something else as well. They have a fairly sizable menu even for vegetarians and vegans… most places have one or two veggie options and I think they had at least 10. A little pricey for a sandwich but I love to support a small business.
Super friendly. Incredibly fast. Much faster than every other Ike’s I’ve been to. What a delicious vegetarian sandwich. Really love the Dutch crunch roll too
I happen to be staying in a nearby hotel and found this sandwich shop nearby on Google maps and I'm so glad I did!!! It had great reviews and I'm here to add another one! It was absolutely delicious! their menu is very difficult to choose from because all of their combinations sound so delicious. I decided on the "Hot Mama Huda" which is Halal chicken, Buffalo wing sauce, ranch and provolone with dirty sauce, lettuce and tomato. What a glorious combination paired with the perfect hosting was so delicious and flavorful and unlike any sandwich I've ever tried. I'm dying to go back and try something else just to see what else they have! The guy that took my order was also pretty friendly and the employees and they were working their butts off to keep up with all the orders coming in with the pride parade going by.
Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend checking them out!
Update: I DID go back the next day and tried another sandwich and it was also delicious!!!

**VEGAN OPTIONS**
I've loved Ike's for years, and tonight they proved once again how awesome they are!! I have never had a sandwich here I didnt like! So many fun, unique vegan sandwiches here! I recommend Meatless Mike, Vegan Pee Wee, Vegan Pilgrim, Vegan Handsome Owl. They offer vegan meats and vegan cheese. I was assured everything on our sandwiches was vegan including the bread and all sauces. Ike's makes ordering as a vegan easy!! Try the Voo Doo chips too! Check out their website, there are many locations and different offerings at each ❤
Ike was absolutely delicious. The variety they have in their sandwiches is unbelievable. They also have incredible flavor and I visit every time I am in San Francisco.
I would highly recommend Ikes to anyone who loves sandwiches or wants a new twist on a sandwich. I.e a roast beef sandwich with mozzarella cheese stick or jalapeno poppers on it.

Dirty sauce makes everything here so good. I always get Dutch Crunch bread. Menage A Trois is my favorite, but I've never had a bad sandwich here.
I had seen this place on Man vs Food and finally made it here. Almost too many combinations of sandwiches but staff was super helpful.
They had their own root beer which was great too! Will come back here for sure!
It's hard to find a way to sum up Ike's in one word as it is to sum it up in a few words. The only word that comes to mind is phenomenal. If you haven't had one of Ike's sandwiches you are gonna kick yourself for eating this long to discover true edible heaven. The crew at Polk location with the Captain of the crew Fernando were simply amazing. Great experience and amazing food. There's something for everyone. Vegans, vegetarians, carnivores etc... Wether it's Polk location or any other one get over and try it you WILL NOT be disappointed.
