We just got back from Italy and were craving some authentic Italian food. Luckily, we discovered Ristorante Milano in San Francisco and it didn't disappoint. We tried their grilled squid with bean salad and special ravioli for starters, and they were absolutely delicious. For our main course, we had the lasagna ragu and veal stew, both of which were incredibly tasty. To top it off, we couldn't resist the poached pear for dessert, and it was amazing. We'll definitely be back when we're in SF again.❤️
DELICIOUS! We ordered take out which is always risky with Italian but man were we blown away. Everything tasted SO GOOD. I honestly cannot wait to go and dine-in here because even just waiting for pick-up, the inside was very nice. We had the Lasagna and the Gnocchi Aurora and both were very fresh pasta with amazing sauces. Really reminded us of our trip to Italy. The Tiramisu was also very good and very pleasant without being overly sweet.
This is a small and amazing place, one of the best Italian places in San Francisco!
the place has true genuine Italian food!
the starters are amazing with delicious salads and sea food.
the main course of pastas are simply amazing and are done to perfection.
the desserts have some of the best I ever tasted, with amazing tiramisu and magnificent pistachio ice cream.
the staff are very nice, and the place itself is very clean and welcoming.
One of the best Italian restaurants we have been to. Wonderful atmosphere. Incredible food. Owner is a gem. Helped us celebrate 50 year anniversary.
Food was delicious. Great flavor. Very professional and attentive service.
Food tasted and looked freshly prepared.
We will definitely return.

Charming and cozy little restaurant tucked away deep in Nob Hill. Wish we had discovered it years ago. We started with the Crostini ai Funghi (bruschetta with sauteed mushrooms, gorgonzola) and it was sumptuous. It was dripping with heavenly gorgonzola and mounds of mushrooms. For my main, I went with the house favorite: the Tonnarelli alla Capricciosa (house made thin pasta, porcini mushrooms, cream, Italian sausage). It was epic, just mouth-wateringly good. The sausage and mushrooms combined for quite a flavor on that bed of cream. For dessert, my wife ordered the Tiramisu (ladyfingers dipped in rum and espresso layered with mascarpone and cOcoa). It was good but not great. Service was warm and friendly. Wine selection was solid. Recommended for a nice date night. July 2015.

So good. The pasta, the Tiramisu.. it's all to die for. My date and I got the Rigatoni and the Gnocchi. Best meal I've had in 30 years. Thank you for serving up a truly memorable experience.
Fantastic restaurant, every dish we ordered was simply delicious.
The staff are nice, friendly and professional!
Came here unexpectedly but it turned out quite a good job. We were recommended a grilled Calamari as an appetizer. It was nicely grilled and very soft. And we had porcini mushroom pasta and seafood linguine. Everything was greatly balanced and full of taste! Definitely want to come back when I visit SF again.
Cons: Tables were very close.
Great service and the food was up to Italian standards. I would recommend this place if you want to embrace an Italian cucine with a San Francisco vibe
