Honestly better than Tony’s Pizza. We’ve gone here three times and the wait is never longer than 20 minutes, and you see everything being made right in front of you. The pesto is our favorite pasta dish and the prosciutto pizza is their best one! Staff is attentive and food comes out pretty fast without jeopardizing quality.
what a gem. excellent place. don't want to compare to other famous nearby, by I have tried the other ones... man, there is no game. it's just perfect. the dough, the ingredients, the cooking. it's not good for the US. It's excellent in general. try the meatballs, try the margherita, try the prosciutto. being an italian, born in the city of buffalo mozzarella... please stop at Casaro! (been there 3 times already, when I fly to bay area)
Mamá mía, they sure know how to make a pizza pie here! Super fresh, flavorful, and authentic Italian pizza. Both the diavola and bufalina were delicious! Crust were incredible, great chew and flavor, all very balanced. I was surprised how delicious the asparagus was too, the cheese really made it stand out. Great menu with plenty of pizza and pasta options. Would love to try more and absolutely would come back. Service was good but nothing exceptional, it’s really busy so I don’t blame them just don’t expect a ton. Orders come out pretty fast and super fresh out of the pizza oven. Overall, come for the food! Everything we ate was delicious. 🍕🇮🇹🤌
This is the most authentic pizza place in SF. I come here all the time to enjoy traditional Italian style pizza. I also love the lettuce salad, burrata and Bianca Lasagne. They have the best pizza dough in town!
If you've been to Italy and are looking for that flavorful, clean and non-oily zest, then their pizzas are for you. The Calabrian Chili Oil is VERY spicy. Friendly folks.
(They don't sell individual slices..., but take it home if that is what you want.)
Amazing pizzeria, I would enjoy going back and trying everything on the menu. Service was excellent. I went in early just after opening and it wasn’t that busy yet. I liked the complimentary chili oil as well. Flavors were authentic, the crust and base perfect. The calibrian spicy sausage was exceptional. Well balanced pizza.
The tiramisu I tried though needs some work in my opinion. Too little mascarpone, too much biscuit that was slightly dry. Still not bad but not as good as it should be in an establishment like this.
Prices were fair, I felt reasonable by sf standards.
Just out and about with my pal Enzo in the heart of little Italy where 8 out of 10 people are speaking Italian, and we are pulled into the Il Casaro Pizzeria by none other than Enzo's uncle Don Dino Cardonelli right off the plane from Sicily. He's here to give support to a family member that was suddenly taken away, and to help pay for the restitution of his journey. I didn't want to know anymore about his visit so I went to check on the pizza, Il Casaro Pizzeria sure is a great place, the pizzas are Amazing! ☆☆☆☆☆
The restaurant prides itself on serving authentic Neapolitan-style pizza made with fresh and high-quality ingredients. The restaurant has a casual and cozy atmosphere that's perfect for a casual dinner or lunch with friends and family.
The menu offers a variety of toppings and options for customers with different dietary preferences, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.
In addition to pizza, the restaurant also offers a range of appetizers, salads, and desserts.
The service is friendly and attentive, with knowledgeable staff who can help customers navigate the menu and make recommendations. The restaurant also offers delivery and takeout options for customers who prefer to enjoy their pizza at home.
Overall, Casaro Pizzeria seems to be a great spot for pizza lovers in San Francisco, with high-quality ingredients, delicious pizza, and a welcoming atmosphere.
Staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Sat outside which was nice but did start to rain towards the end. Might be nice to add covering or umbrella given the rapidly changing SF weather. Had the burrata and the prosciutto pizza which were both incredibly delicious.
The best Neapolitan pizza we had in California. Seating outside is tight. Inside near the restrooms there was a strange smell.
