Tonight my boyfriend and I had an amazing experience at Farallon Restaurant SF! From the moment we walked in the door to the second we finished our last bite everything was absolutely impeccable. Our server was Jeremy, not only was he amazing, but showed super attention to detail and very informative. If you get a chance to sit in his section you won't regret it. The head chef, Luke, knows his stuff. Not only did each plate have a stunning presentation but all of the different flavors he brings into each dish was out of this world. The Abalone and ravioli .... there are no words to describe this dish other than it is one of my favorite dishes of all time. For dessert we had what I call the peanut butter jam firework donut explosion. It was definitely an amazing finish to a wonderful evening. If you have never tried this restaurant, I would recommend putting it on your bucket list. Thank you again to everyone at Farallon for making this evening one for the books!
We have been coming here for many years now! Dale keeps everything moving like a well oiled machine and is such a warm and welcoming presence . Our meal was stunning , in both flavor and presentation. The service was attentive without being oppressive and our Sommelier , Luke, chose wines for us that truly heightened the whole evening! I strongly recommend using his expertise next time you choose to dine at Farallon. I know it is comforting to go with wines you are familiar with and have always enjoyed or maybe you are a very experienced wine connoisseur BUT you are missing out if you do not put your trust in Luke! He is a genius. We live mostly in LA now but if we are traveling to SF or the Peninsula we will always make a special effort to dine at Farallon !
The service was awesome. Chase was our waiter and couldn't have been better. We booked it on open table and asked for a quiet table and we got one. The atmosphere is just wonderful and the food was fabulously delicious. The drinks were great too. I am very happy we went!! I would highly recommend it. Well worth the price. We attempted to try a little of everything and did the best we could. We were not disappointed at all! It was a fabulous evening!! Thank you!!!
I have been on different occasions and have found
The service excellent, the atmosphere just beautiful and the best part is the food. Organic
Fresh creative not only fish but the veggies
Desserts too. Highly recommend
Amazing food, wine and decor this place it the bomb for a top notch dinner and oysters
Our host was amazing. She was very attentive and understood all the cuisines on menu. Freddy was also wonderful- made us feel welcome. Excellent food! Kudos to the chef. Great prices for the quality of food. The cocktails are by far the best I've ever had🙌🏾. If you're in town, it's a must. 👍🏾
The lobster appetizer and the ceviche were amazing!!! The service was phenomenal and the Scallops were definitely somthing to write home about! So perfectly seared and moist! I would definitely recommend this place to seafood lovers!! ❤️❤️❤️
What a great experience! Staff was very friendly and helpful. I was able to make a reservation on open table, easy enough. Once seated staff was quick and on their toes to attend to our needs. The food was delicious. And while my daughters food was undercooked (pasta) they dealt with the issue with pristine customer service. I will definitely be back on my next trip to San Fran! Thank you again for the wonderful time, food, and memories.
This is, without a doubt, my absolute favorite restaurant! I've been there any times, for many different occasions, and my mind has been totally blown each and every time.
From the beautiful interior, to the beautifully crafted food; Farallon is unbeatable.
This place is AMAZING! From the decor to the ambiance, to the staff and accommodations. I am vegan and my friend took me to his favorite restaurant last night. I was apprehensive because I don’t eat fish but the bartender made sure I was taken care of. He talked to the chef and the chef made me the most glorious vegan entree. It was sooo GOOD! I was blown away by the food and the people who work here! Thank you so much for making my night!
We have been here several times now and have to say that each time has been good. The food was good, fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. Also, service was excellent. Will be back definitely!
Excellent and friendly service where staff let you know how long to wait, explains items on the menu, and helpful during dinner! Wish I could dine at Farallon more often!!
My favorite "go-to" after long day at work -- light dinner for me in form of several small appetizers -- all seafood. Love this place. The staff are awesome especially Jaime and Freddy at the Bar.
My boyfriend and I were celebrating a special day in our new life. The ambience, staff, food, and wine selection was the divine thank you for making the day even more special
Ula Restaurant offers a captivating theme atmosphere that enhances the dining experience.
The appetizers were a delight, bursting with flavor love the Hummus Plate. Yet, the croquettes and arancini, shaped like balls, lacked visual variety. Adding distinct shapes and more accompaniment sauces could elevate the overall experience by introducing a richer tapestry of flavors.

The atmosphere is authentic. The waiters are fast and the service is friendly. The dishes are beautifully presented. I enjoyed my lamb dish. The meat was tender and rare, just as I ordered. Delicious spotted beets in an appetizer with Mozzarella di Bufala. But the main thing is that sometimes these musicians play here with an amazing charismatic pianist. But whoever is lucky enough to hear this wonderful jazz music. I recommend.
I’ve been to Ula twice. Both times amazing service! Outstanding cocktails and wine selection. Carbonara and branzino was really good. Overall had a great time. I think it’s one of the most beautiful restaurants in SF. Definitely will visit again next time I’m in the city!
We had our Anniversary dinner here 7/13 and what a memorable night as we were greeted at the door with exceptional service throughout the night by outstanding waiter Alex 🧜🏼♀️ at our new favorite European Spanish Mediterranean @ularestaurantsf !! Alex was funny and very humorous as he filled our evening with laughter. The restaurant is so big and the theme through is really historically nautical and ambiance is on point!! For apps we ordered Bruscetta and the Beats & Burrata (I like to order this any chance I get and it showed out and was phenominal if you‘ve never tried Beats & Burrata I urge you to try this light mozzarella like cheese fruit dish!) For entree I ordered Souris D’Agneau which is a roasted decadent “Lamb Shank” and my partner ordered the unique preparation of the Branzino fillet (it was not the whole fish if you are weird about looking at fish eye balls or picking through bones, no fear here!) It was a much more appealing presentation! For dessert we ordered the bread pudding which reminds me of Mexican Capirotada and was delicious and a rich and creamy Creme Brûlée that paired well with the 10yr Taylor Flagdate Porto Tawny. Please try each and everyone of these you will not be disappointed!! We look forward to our next visit and can’t wait to try more meals here! Please follow me on IG @venusverssace
Maybe I got there a little too early (7:00pm, Monday night) but the restaurant was completely dead, which is always unnerving. It might be because of the price, this place is expensive, even for the centre of town. Despite all that the food was excellent, and the service equally good. I'd go back with a bigger party and sample more of the menu.
Beautiful decor and interior design in the restaurant. Our server was wonderful. We shared the tuna tartare, arancini, bruschetta, and shrimp tapas to start and they were tasty. The branzino dish was good, but not quite as much flavor as I was hoping for. The ravioli was a favorite at our table and the desserts were absolutely delicious!
Very nice ambiance and good service. Wonderful display of the food. The taste is good and just shy of five stars. The place was very empty when we were there on a Monday night.
We chose Ula because of its proximity to the San Francisco Playhouse, and it turned out to be a great choice. My husband had a San Francisco Sour, which was good, but not great. The arancini were a bit lackluster, but both our entrees were wonderful. The risotto with mushrooms, asparagus and spinach was cooked to perfection and the seafood ravioli made with squid ink pasta was heavenly. If you have a fondness for very sweet desserts, the profiteroles would be a good choice, but we found them overly sweet. Highest marks for our waiter, Alex, who was attentive and who shared the very interesting history of the building with us. The restaurant itself is quirky but beautiful, with amazing sea urchin chandeliers in the main room and though it was quite full, the noise level was great.
What a beautiful restaurant, it feels like you're under the sea. It was intimate and not over crowded or loud. The food was amazing, especially, the crab cake appetizer, pork. chop and seafood stew. It's great for date night and groups. The service was top notch as well.
Ula offers an amazing atmosphere to enjoy excellent Mediterranean food, with an emphasis on seafood, though there is something on the menu for everyone.
The staff and service is impeccable. The atmosphere is elevated by the domed structure with tile frescos on the ceiling. The prices are somewhat expensive, but is matched by the quality and service.
My partner and I recently celebrated our 11th anniversary at Ula, and I must say it was an extraordinary dining experience from start to finish. Located in the heart of San Francisco, Ula not only impressed us with its charming ambiance but also captivated our taste buds with its exquisite cuisine.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by the attentive staff who made us feel like valued guests. The interior design was elegant, with soft lighting and tasteful decor, creating an intimate and romantic atmosphere perfect for our special occasion.
Ula exceeded our expectations on every level, making our 11th anniversary truly unforgettable. The combination of exceptional cuisine, elegant ambiance, and outstanding service made it an outstanding choice for a special occasion. We highly recommend Ula to anyone seeking a refined and delightful dining experience in San Francisco. We can't wait to return and explore more of their culinary delights.
I will start by saying WoW. The atmosphere was spot on very romantic. I ordered the lamb chops which had this delicious gorgonzola glaze. I was celebrating my birthday and Eva made me feel extra special on my day. The custom drink, a birthday candle and all. All the staff was extremely attentive. I can’t wait to come back to San Fran to dine here again! Thanks again to the staff and especially Eva!!!
This magical fine dining restaurant will take you under the sea as knowledgeable and courteous waitstaff see to it that everything goes smoothly. I highly recommend the seafood carbonara.
Me and my friends went to Ula restaurant to celebrate a birthday party and we had a really good experience! The food was great and the service was beyond pleasant. Definitely would go back.
Went for a large event party of twenty and a fixed menu... Just great food, drinks, and service. Perfectly cooked fish, amazing local ingredients and a very chill and sublime tiramisu
Delicious! We booked Ula in advance of our anniversary. They took good care of us, even offering a complimentary pair of champagne. The food was surprisingly delicious and everything done perfectly with attention to detail on the flavor as well as texture of the food. I highly recommend the gnocchi appitizer, scallop main, and Spritz drinks.
