Came here with a group of 9 and this place was super fun to go to! We even got a private room. Good: - So much variety! I had so much fun choosing what to get from the extensive menu - The tomato broth was absolutely my favorite - The noodles were great too, I liked the hand pulled ones and the udon - The meat was all really yummy and I liked beef and the pork the best Bad: - Decently long wait times, pretty busy around dinner time - Decently expensive, but what did you expect from hotpot? Overall I would come again! It's a great group event.

The broth is the very best one I have ever had among all of the Hot Pot restaurants! Absolutely the top of the top! The meat dish is great, especially the lamb collection is very fresh, good price with great potion. The restaurant has been in San Francisco for over 10 years, so it looks old but very clean. I love the “historical look” here and appreciate the clean and details of the decoration. Service is great, especially from the owner who is very generous, cheerful, and sincerely cares about customers. Highly recommend! The best place to have an authentic Hot Pot in San Francisco!

Excellent service, location, and prices! Close to Union Square, less than 5 mins's walk. They offer significant portions for meager prices compared to other Hot pot places! Tomato broth is tasty and flavorful! Dinner time will be busy, so it is highly recommended to come early! Settings and ambiance, in general, are old since they've been in business for over ten years and planning to remodel soon! Hopefully, their business will catch up after COVID-19 so they can have enough funds to renovate! The owner and staff are incredibly attentive and friendly!

Happy Lamb is a hot pot hotspot in the heart of San Francisco. Bring friends, coworkers, family, or yourself! The soup options are practically endless, so there’s always more to explore here! On 25 October, I ordered the pickled cabbage (sauerkraut) broth, sliced chicken breast, and wood ear mushrooms. I requested a side of chillies (“hot reds”) because I love spicy food. The broth itself was soothing and full of crisp cabbage, livened up with tangy scallions and zesty ginger, and dotted with goji berries. It’s truly a superfood and sure pairs well with chicken and mushrooms! The chicken was tender, lean, and hearty, and the wood ears had that characteristic leathery, chewy, gelatinous texture. Note that this is a chicken and beef bone broth, but vegetarian broth is available upon request. It is a vegetable stock with carrots, onions, celery, and garlic, making it also suitable for vegans. Of course, I cannot forget about the excellent service and the pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend!

I had the best experience at this location. Right now until the end of August they are doing an all you can eat special Tuesdays and Wednesdays for $27.99, it is such a good deal! The staff are attentive and the food is fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed the best of both worlds broth bases, natural prime aged lamb, and the sweet crispy rice cakes. The owner let me know that their lease is up in November and if there business doesn’t pick up in the next few months they will have to close. Please support this business, it is awesome!

Perfect place for a celebration of newbies! I chose to eat here for my birthday and had a great time! We split two pots for 5 people and could've done a 6th with ease. We tried 4 different broths: the two signature ones they offered were both fabulous! We also really enjoyed the spiciness of the red one pictured. You get a great variety of meats, veggies and even noodles! They mention that you don't need dipping sauces since everything is seasoned really well (I agree) but we got them anyway because it was our first time there! The sesame paste they offer was really scrummy and paired really well with the meats we ate! The lamb was of course delicious and necessary to have, we could probably just eat that and be content! Can't wait to go back!

This place is extremely cheap compared to other places that I’ve been to. Each plate was around $10 and the portions are a lot bigger than what we expected. I definitely recommend ordering little by little so you aren’t surprised with the food portions like me 😅. Would definitely come here again. Service was amazing, had a great time.

Super busy hotpot place. This is definitely one of the best happy lamb locations I've been to. Located upstairs in a semi inconspicuous building. Could become Super crowded if you come later for dinner. The soup quality is superb, I enjoyed both the spicy and nonspicy broth. The meat quality was great, beef wasn't frozen tasting nor dry. I liked that the veggie combo was diverse in options and a good amount! ($12). Also got lamb skewers which really hit the spot as well. Anyway, great hotpot place especially on a cold, rainy, winter day. Especially with a window seat, staring down into the streets of SF.

I am a tourist from Singapore. I just want to say that the service staff who greeted us are polite and helpful. The place is clean. We had a great meal here. Great window view. I like to thank the long hair staff who retrieve and return my hp when I am crossing the road. Really appreciated this act. I strongly recommend anyone who is looking for a good food at a safe environment.

I love a good hot pot - one of my favorite meals - and this one is really good. High quality meat with great taste. Friendly and helpful staff. Way superior to the versions I got while living in Mainland China.

We have just discovered our new favorite spot! The soups are very rich in texture, layered in complex herbs, and all ingredients were fresh. They showed us the dude who specializes in slicing fresh meat, he's a master of his craft. The staff educated us very well and we had a great time eating there. Will definitely return.

Super hungry, so we ordered super everything. A lot of different kinds of meats and veggies and it was all good! 2 types of soup, spicy and regular, everything was fresh and tender after cooking. Great experience. Since this is a chain, we wouldn’t expect anything less than all the others Happy Lambs we’ve been to.

This was my first time at a hot pot and I am vegetarian so I didn't really know how it works and what to expect so I had a moderate experience. But whatever I got was good. I ordered the veggie platter, but I shouldn't have, it just has all the leafy veggies and pumpkin, that's probably the worst thing to order as a vegetarian. Just order the veggies you would like in your ramen or noodles. I also got the noodles and that's probably the only thing I enjoyed. But the flavours were amazing. If you are a vegetarian make sure to order the veggies you like. We got the spicy broth half and half so that I can get the veggie version.

I went here for my first hotpot experience and it won’t be my last. I love all the options and endless combinable ingredients paired with broths. Everything was fresh and prepared with precision, especially the thinly sliced meats, the fresh noodles and the gooey custard buns. The staff was knowledgeable and helped guide me through the experience, assisting me in making the best selections based on my preferences. My new favorite spot in sf!

Service here was great, I had so much fun with my friends! The food tasted amazing and was very authentic. I highly recommend. I don't remember what I got because I just told my friends to get whatever because I will eat damn near anything. It was very good.

Wow amazing food, super fresh and delicious. I personally like the happy lamb places in England better but it is still really good.

Great spot to eat in downtown. The server was really friendly and always stopping by to check on us. The food was really high quality and reasonably priced. I split with 2 others and it came out to be around $30 per person.
