I really liked this place. The ambience alone was above and beyond expectations. The whole place was vibrant and full of tropical detail. Food and drink wise, it’s pricey but you’re paying for the experience. I loved my Wiki Wiki drink and my main entree was good. Will be coming back to listen to more of the band that plays on a boat in the middle of the pool. Great place to come with a group of friends or dinner date.

One of the big 3 most notable tiki bars in SF. Tonga room is by far the most family friendly. Offering options for dinner and a bar in a very large space. Most notably is the live music played from the boat in the middle of a former swimming pool. If you loved the pirates of the Caribbean restaurant in Disney, you will love the Tonga room. Would give it a high score on the atmosphere and the drinks were solid aside from the price.

Great Bar and Restaurant to enjoy karaoke music. You are charged 15$ per person if you stay for the music. Food and drinks are pretty good. Chill Vibe and a good place to hangout with friends and colleagues. Gets crowded later in the evenings

An amazing place to go Rumba. The music is excellent, those guys in the band really know how to do it. The food is delicious, the service very fast. My recommendation is to go early and be patient, the line is not very long but then you have to wait for a table, I recommend it 100%, you will not regret it.

Excellent variety of tropical drinks, fun tiki room style ambiance. The music is pure cheese but after a few drinks it’s tolerable. Solid service. P.S. Fair warning, if you jump in the pool it’s a $1K fine. Enough people have done it apparently for this drastic measure to be in place 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Look past the elephant in the room: yes this restaurant bar is around a former indoor hotel pool. But it’s fun and gives great atmosphere with the lights, intermittent showers over the pool, and live music. The cocktails were very strong which is so refreshing. The waiter was not wrong in the recommendation to try the mai tai. It was a very good example. The food was delicious too.

Smuggler’s Cove for actual Tiki drinks but you’d be mad not to settle into a flaming four-person hurricane bowl and blurrily enjoy the half-hourly indoor monsoon.

Brought my neice and nephew to Tonga Room & Hurricane. They are 20 and 22. I was looking for a fun place to take them. We all had the best time. They loved the thunder, lightning, rain, live band, food, and drinks. It was such a fun time. I scored major points as the fun aunt.

This is a lot of fun! We came on a Saturday without reservation and chose to go to the standing room for drinks, because a table would be well over an hour, The decor is beautiful and my partner and I enjoyed our drinks. When they say the drinks will be strong, they are not joking!
