8-18-18: Great to come back again and enjoy the regional menu. Tried the linguini and clams. Excellent regional pasta dish!!! 😀. Service at the bar is always top notch and enjoyable. A great evening. 2017: Great place for standard pasta. Try the regional menus during the first 3 weeks of each month. Happy hour Monday to Friday from 4-6.

Great Italian food. Love their pizzas and the bar up front as well. A favorite of students from Hult International Business School which is right across Sansome Street. Highly recommended.

Beautiful location, especially if you can get a view of the the courtyard waterfall. Fresh baked bread served with oil and balsamic was great. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal amd was happy with serving size

I am a wedding coordinator who had a wedding here. This is a perfect venue for your perfect wedding. All of our guests were impressed by the elegant and romantic ambiance here. Plus, the food here is amazing and the service is excellent! Highly recommend!

The location may be the biggest advantage of I'll Fornaio. Right next to water and the pieres this restaurant offers a wide range of Italian options. I enjoyed the food and found service attentive as well. I wasn't necessarily wowed by my veal entree though. This restaurant also offers large tables for bigger groups.

A great little spot that offered some welcome relief from my studies at Hult Business School, which is just across the street. The bar staff were friendly and accommodating, pizza was delicious and the Golden Gate IPA kept me coming back for more. The only reason that it didn’t get 5 stars is the closing time. 10:30pm is early even by an Englishman’s standards.

It was perfect! Three Birthdays shared with great girlfriends! The perfect setting, great food, great service. Il Fornaio went out of their way to accommodate us. It was a lot of fun!

The trio appetizer, the seafood linguini, the meatballs, and the spinach ravioli were first class quality meals. We enjoyed a pleasant and quiet evening. We thank Il Fornaio for a memorable experience. Don't forget to try any of their desserts, too.

Was staying at an airport hotel near Burlingame, so decided to give this place a shot. The service was great and they were constantly checking up on us which is always a plus. I loved the atmosphere as it was a white tablecloth kind of place, but more on the casual side. The food....excellent. I started with the Caesar salad, which was delicious and hit the spot. For my entree, although all the pasta dishes sounded excellent, I decided to go with a chicken dish. I ordered the Petto Di Pollo Al Peperoncino as the waiter highly recommended it as one of his favorite dishes. The chicken was very moist and the sauce had a spicy kick to it, but it was just enough. The potatoes and sauteed spinach accompanied the dish very well. Great food, great service, will definitely return!

I have been going here for sooo many years. I took my wife and children here and the rest is history. The food is excellent and the staff goes above and beyond. They have an outside dining which is rare where i live and of course we took advantage of it. The prices are less than the quality of the taste of the food which is perfect. I LOOOOVE the Piatto Smeralda.

Il Fornaio is an astounding experience all the way around, from the food to the atmosphere every time i eat here i leave so satisfied, content and filled with joy. The menu is filled with mouth watering food that is a delight and a pleasure to eat. The staff is very corteous, prompt, and cheery. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience.
