Good pizza

Great taste and have fast delivery service. Make sure to ask for plates and cutlery when you order online. Great vegetarian pizzas!

Great little place

Felt like a local. Little pizza shop with lots of slices. Quick, great tasting, perfect to fill that void. Plus a few combinations of toppings new to me. potato and garlic... something I have never had on a pizza... but definitely will again.

Good pizza, great and fast delivery on a rainy cold night. Not excited by crust--not tasty and took a low of chewing. However sauce was plentiful and spicy, and there was a nice garlic taste overlay to my slab of pepperoni mushroom. Good for a night in, snuggled under a fuzzy throw blanket.

Good part of the Haight scene. I usedta like this place because it was open late and on the way home from the hospital where I worked. Plus they were running a coupon deal with 2 slices for the price of 1. The pizza was good New York-style thin crust, spicy sauce, decent selection of toppings to choose from.

Best part about it was going in around midnight and seeing all the punkish denizens of Haight Street eating there. Nobody ever messed with me because I was wearing medical garb, so maybe they reckoned I was packing syringes. Syringes that were filled with something OTHER than what they liked to shoot.

BTW -- people are raving about the potato and garlic pizza? Blech! The version they do at Escape from New York is better than other iterations of this that I've tried, but that's not saying much. It's a starch-and-stink-fest. If you like that, please go to Thisiswhyyou'refat.com and then seek professional help.

Great Pizza. Had a piece while here on business, it was really good but slightly expensive at $4 per slice.

THERE IS NO ESCAPE FROM THIS GREAT PIZZA. Came here for the first time one night after a very long night of boozing it up silly. oh how i love being able to get a good slice late at night.

after looking over the menu i decided to try the "you say potato" pizza as it was the most original looking thing on the menu. wow i love this pizza and i have came back a good dozen times for this scrumptious late night delight. the pesto was so smooth and fresh and the potatoes really gave the pizza an incredible texture. i'm so very glad the crust is the last part of the pizza because it was my favorite part and i love a good crust.

Solid slice of pepperoni pizza. The slice is thin but holds up sturdily with one hand. It isn’t too greasy (blessing and curse) and the crust has a nice flavor (subtle sweetness). The worker was very polite and friendly. Sort of pricey, but welcome to San Francisco. Admittedly didn’t like that when using a credit card, you have to choose a tip value, or manually input no tip.

Pizza is Soo good!! Definitely do not need more than one slice and the price is just right for the size and quality! Love the location as well! Right in the middle of one of the best areas/streets.

Best pizza on the Haight. Say no more! Limited street parking. Limited seating. But...Definitely worth it! I do not know how EFNYP creates such wonderful and delicious pizza. I'm thinking they must be importing the water from NY for the pizza dough. I have never seen, heard of or even thought of combining potatoes and pesto...it works!...extremely well! -renaygarseeya

This was the 1st place my girlfriend and I ate at, on our first trip to San Francisco. We were told to check out Haight street, that it was worth visiting, so we gave it a shot. Upon walking in, this place felt very casual and welcoming, with a delicious aroma, that made both of our mouths water immediately. We walked up to the counter and asked the gentleman what he recommended. While I like meats on pizza and my girlfriend being almost vegan, we had different ideas on what we might order. The recommendation? He suggested that we try the potato and garlic pizza. We decided to get a slice of that, a veggie one as well, and finally a mushroom slice. All 3 were very delicious & we quickly inhaled all 3 slices, rotating which one we took a bite of, each time. While the mushroom was one of my favorite (familiar) flavors, it was still extremely delicious & I would return to just eat that, if that was all they had. That being said, the veggie slice was extremely flavorful & could have been the only slice we ordered, and still been very happy. The major surprise, to both of us, was how tasty the potato and garlic pizza was. I knew there must be something to it, for the recommendation, but wow, it was good. The staff was also very friendly and offered to help and answer any questions we had, and gave us the parmesan & peppers, in quantity, we had enough for all 3 slices. We thoroughly enjoyed the pizza & service & would come back, the next time we visit San Francisco.

Non greasy pizza with unique combination options. I like the Miss Figgy because it’s flavor combination is uncommon and delicious. The New York Pesto Chicken is also a favorite of ours too. The crust can be on the thick side but I prefer that. This is not your traditional Italian pizza but it’s a pizza I do crave and keep coming back for. The XL is huge and we enjoy the leftovers throughout the week.

Thought about rating 4 stars, only because they do not offer beer, but changed my mind because they recommended that we walk across the street and grab whatever we wanted from the liquor store. This place does feel like a typical NY pizza joint, right in the heart of Haight. It’s got that gritty street vibe, with amateur photos of all the celebs that have walked through the door and had a slice of their pie. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had potato pizza, though they should add some Gorgonzola cheese (or more of it). Tasty pizza, quick and convenient, no fuss. Just a good old fashion pizza joint that sticks to doing what they do best. It’s the only pizza we had while in SF, so I can’t say if it’s the best, but I will happily go back. And it’s next to Amoeba Music, so win-win.

Solid NY style pizza, I had the Potato pesto pizza which was tasty. A little overpriced but was still enjoyable. The staff were nice albeit a little spacey (Its Haight-Ashbury you know how it is lol)
