Very yummy food at this Japanese delicatessen! The 9-piece bento box was a lovely sampler, but I do wish it had more fish. The poke was also yummy. The salmon and avocado rolls were generous portions and lovely bites, the perfect lunch! Don’t forget to grab a rice ball, they’re easy to miss but really lovely eats. Service was kind and quick.
One of my favorite places in SF Downtown to eat! Always best quality and flavors. If I ever in doubts I just eat out here. Their eggplant ( vegan) salad with sweet and spicy chicken and crab cake ( additional) is solid 100% no miss combo!
AMAZING options for true Japanese delicatessen! MUST TRY!! Customer service is top notch. Anything from sushi/poke, to chicken dumplings, to tonkatsu, everything is amazing. Vegan and vegetarian friendly.
We had their new niku udon, beef curry, sweet&spicy chicken and avocado rolls and they were all to die for, would 100% recommend if you’re visiting ferry building. They didnt have tables when we were there, but you can enjoy your delicious food right outside on the public table and chairs.
This is Japanese fast food, not fine dining. Dishes are tasty and not as greasy as many of the other restaurants in the Ferry Building. They have both hot and cold dishes. Cold dishes are great for taking to a picnic in the park or along the waterfront. Quick service. Reasonable prices. Lots of tables just outside the door.
I got a bento, curry and salmon don. All was very tasty and staff was so nice like I experienced it at Japan.
This is my first time at delica and I tried the salmon rice ball and the spicy tuna tempura.
I enjoyed the spicy tuna tempura.
This is fantastic potato cakes all of the Japanese inspired dishes are fabulous I had the tofu and chicken dumplings the spicy tuna and whatever my wife was eating. We got them as bento boxes so their rice was awesome they put a lot of sesame seeds on it so if you don’t like that or you have diverticulitis you better tell them ahead of time and then They’ll probably still do it but then They’ll take it off, they’re cool. I said it was fantastic I mean it. we’re going back up in July and we’re going to go there again, in fact that’s why I’m on the site; I was looking to see if there was a particular time they were slow…so get there early stay late maybe bring a wheelchair and eat too much.
Been to this place for bento lunches. Their various bento are surprisingly good. Their udon soup is not bad, just okay. I would eat here again if passing through on a ferry.
i'm transported back to japan riding the shinkansen and eating a bento when i eat their food
Definitely would stop by here again when I’m nearby for work. Reasonably priced and quick service. Hijiki salad was exactly what I was looking for.
Food was very good but expensive. Seating was limited. They should have had more tables for dining throughout. The male server was very friendly and accommodating. Overall it was a pleasant experience.
Best bento box I've had in a long time. I mean, it's in the ferry building. Tell me something bad in the ferry building? With so many options currently closed because of the pandemic still, this delectable treat found in the middle of the building, has a small menu but big flavors.
In my bento box I had an perfect little chicken dumpling, a few scrumptious sushi rolls, a shockingly delicious shrimp cake with remoulade, a salad with fresh mushrooms and veggies, and my favorite part by far... an amazing seaweed salad! Some people may read this and say eww, but if you ever want to take someone's words of wisdom it's Andrew Zimmern's "if it looks good, eat it!"
Oh, and get the cup of Miso soup. It's a huge cup and it warms up the soul. It literally comforted me on a tough day and relaxed me for the rest. It's summer time and soup knows no bounds!
Enjoy Delica while it's still open and the Ferry building isn't slammed with people right now.
Beautifully prepared, reasonably priced Japanese dishes. This 9 piece Bento is fabulous. If I had to choose only 1 restaurant to eat from forever, this might be it
Sooo good. I have missed a good Japanese lunch box place ever since leaving Japan. Got 9 piece lunch box. Healthy and yummy
Fresh and quick Japanese deli and bento food for lunch. It’s always got a queue but worth the wait.
Authentic Japanese obento. Loved the salads and they are super healthy. My daughter loved the onigiri. The real deal :-)
