Friendly neighborhood bar with great service. I would definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a casual place to watch a game or just hang out with friends.

Fish and chips were incredibly delicious. The ambience was warm and cozy. The staff friendly. I’ll go back again for sure. And Mojitos were the best.

A solid go-to place on tuesdays for an early work day end. $2 red stripes and various appetizers, friendly wait staff, and awesome vibe. Soccer game was on, USA vs Hungary, with enthusiasts nearby. Came by with a couple of coworkers and after 5 red stripes and three appetizers we were feeling good and spent less than $20 including tip! If that isn't a gem in the city, not sure what is. Keep up the good work! (Happy hour 3-7pm)

Justin BARRERA could be the best bartender I have encountered in my almost 20 years in SF--a bartender so conscientious. Come here. It certainly will not disappoint.

The service was great. I ordered the lamb stew. It was some of the best I have had.

It's very chill. Close to our hotel too. The staff were great. We didn't eat, but alcohol and beer selection is nice!! Me and my boyfriend are from upstate New York, so the vibe is so different! We love it!!!

I thought the experience was cool , came here last Friday and it was packed but the bartender (forgot her name) hooked us up with a table and kicked backed for a easy 2 hours. Definitely be back again

Went in for a Night Cap, and they took the time to make the most AMAZING Irish Coffee. The Bartender made fresh cream to top it off. Defiantly a place I'm looking forward to retuning to.

Pretty good place for after work drinks and food. Irish bar with beer wine and liquor. Bar type good which were all pretty good. Service was good considering we had a group of 10 and not everyone came at the same time. The venue is not too loud comparing to the place next to it.

This place is pretty solid but I wish they had smaller french fries, not the steak cut. Don't care for steak cut. Some of the servers seem a little scattered, but overall it's chill, good beer and whiskey selection, tasty. Not health food by any stretch of the imagination. Usually not too crowded, good for a pint and maybe catching some of the game.

My first time there last night and it was awesome. Did not drink just ate supper. I had the Shepard's pie. It was incredible and I had a cup of tomato soup. It was awesome likewise. I work across the street from there and I will definitely be back to eat again it was great.

Kate O'Brien's is a fairly spacious neighborhood bar with fine character. But this is what makes them amazing: They serve REALLY GOOD FOOD there! It's far better than at any bar I've ever eaten at. The place is a jewel for that reason alone. I'll be coming back and bringing friends! Our gracious bartender was Kevin, and he also came to our table to take care of us for dinner. He was great, and his suggestions for dinner were absolutely perfect.

This is the first place that I had a beer on my first night in San Francisco, and I have to say that it was the best first impression a city could have on me. The bar tender was cool and knowledgeable. They know how to pour a proper Guinness, and I can't even begin to say how much that mean to me, and yes there is a proper way to pour a Guinness, as I have seen it done incorrectly time and time again. With that being said, this place looks like a little dive on the out side but inside is amazing. Everyone to sing songs that are playing on the speakers which makes for a very fun environment. The food is very good, though I haven't tried the Fish and Chips yet, I can only imagine that they are amazing. Definitely my favorite bar in the city so far.

Aaron is a great bartender, I've traveled all over and he is one of a kind! Patient and understanding with very rough customers that have drank way too much. Definitely recommend it to anyone that likes a good atmosphere.

Good prices on beers and they have the UK classics; Boddingtons, Harp, Guinness, etc. It's a little dark inside but you can usually find a place to sit, which is an advantage. Solid selection of scotch/whiskeys. Won't be an article written about the selection, but everything I'd expect to see was there plus a few I wouldn't expect. All around, good place if you want to just drink beers or whiskeys with friends around a table. I will continue to go and enjoy this place.

Everything you expect in an Irish bar. Food is good, selection of beers is good. Space is a bit small so gets nice and loud. They show plenty of sports. Has a small amount of street seating good for a small party.

Reminds me of back home in London. Good food with some very UK ingredients like Heinz beans! Been a while since I found a place serving those... If you are from the UK this a great place to hangout in a friendly almost pub like atmosphere, but let's face it the US doesn't know how to do pubs so is more a bar. But a great place to chill at none the less.
