The service and food preparation is beyond amazing. Oscar “the bartender” was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He steered us towards the Brussel sprout appetizer which was absolutely to die for, and heirloom tomato salad was filled with culinary surprises. Five star food and service!
We had lunch here with friends and it was great! Our waitress was excellent and the food was really good.
They have a kids menu, which the kids enjoyed and a good selection of cocktails for the adults. I had the clam chowder, fried calamari, and lobster roll. Everything tasted delicious and fresh.
I recommend and would visit again.
Stopped in for a bite and a few drinks while at the beach across the street. If you're chilling at the beach, this place is extremely convenient. There's a restroom and the atmosphere is really nice obviously.
The food was very pleasant as well, I would say upscale dining. We enjoyed everything we tried, I appreciate it the chef special. The drinks were very good and we ended up coming back for dinner later. There is a restaurant upstairs as well that is even more upscale. We did not eat there this time but we have eaten there before and it was a wonderful view and very good food. They are in the area and you want to treat some friends, I would recommend this place. They also sporadically have live music!
First off, the view of the beach is incredible, great date spot to impress a lady, especially if you get a seat by the window.
I sat at the bar, the service was absolutely excellent, very polite bartender and the manager pitched in once it got busy, he thanked me for coming at the end. Food was good and their cocktails were delicious, very well made. Would definitely recommend and return.
Don't sleep on Park Chalet!
We stopped by for lunch after a greuling walk all over Golden Gate Park. Ordered the steak + the fish tacos (the latter being our server's recommendation).
As someone who is a staunch traditionalist when it comes to tacos, the fish tacos here were insanely delicious! The fish was perfectly seasoned and tender. The mango salsa underneath had amazing crunch with flavour that completely took me unawares. Guacamole was also crazy good. 🤯 My husband's steak was also a bang for the buck in terms of how much flavor they got out of the cut. The fries and side salad with the shallot vinaigrette were also tasty. 👌
If you're craving a straightforward, flavourful, and filling meal, you won't regret dining at Park Chalet.
Expect to wait during the weekend, is right by the beach, has dog friendly outdoor seating so it's a popular place. But it's worth the wait! We got the ribs appetizer. The meat was tender and easily came off the bone dripped with the right amount of the sweet tangy sauce and goes perfectly with a beer. Almost every table ordered a burger so we did too. It was cook to medium with a big chunk of avocado, it was so yummy. We also saw a few tables got the lobster roll which looked amazing too, but we were full so we will give that a try next time!
Mac & Cheese for kids menu was sad. No cheese but a watery white liquid which we guess was milk. Clam chowder very good but small portions if you don’t asked to bring it into a huge piece of bread. Fries very delicious and plenty. Service bit slow but is that kind of restaurant by the beach and you should come with time and patience.
Had a great experience brought my dog in and the whole staff made me feel so welcomed the food was really great too I got the fish and chips also had the Paloma (drink) Tanar was my server he was awesome definitely will be back
Ive only gone once so far but will return. Excellent ambiance, friendly staff who don't rush you, decent food, good cocktails, and even had a ton of open parking when I went (despite being directly across a beach access spot). A lot of good spots to walk to afterwards as well :)
Food was excellent, staff was accommodating, would've gave the 5 stars if ot was for our waitress that ket us waiting to order our meal and had brought us our appetizers before our drinks. Other than that was still a great place, will go again.
The food and drinks are good. The service is kind of slow but it is a busy place and they are doing the best they can so it's fine. Lovely scenery obviously. Helps to make a reservation or you'll be waiting but just go walk around the park.
The food, atmosphere, customer service and being dog friendly is the best!! The food was outstanding and my pup devoured two patties which he loved. Right next to the park to continue your walk or head right to the beach and walk. Highly recommend!!

Still 4 🌟. Had the Presidio IPA again. Reminds me of an Anchor Steam liberty ale. Wish they would try something new though.
Shared the kale salad. Was tasty with mushrooms and pine nuts. For my main, had the veggie burger. Was okay.

Very good bar food and 🍺. Had the Presidio IPA which is an old school hoppy 🍺. Also tried the seasonal pale ale.
Started with the 🐔 wings. Crispy and seasoned well. Lots of garlic and vinegary.
Poblano burger was excellent. Fair amount of heat. Was a little light on salt but you can always add a pinch.
Buratta and tomato salad was nicely prepared.
Didn’t have any food but had cycled through the park and stopped for a beer. The beer was great, good selection of them and view was smashing. Great spot.
The food is excellent! Servers are great too!
