Go here during happy hour because the prices for the sushi rolls are amazing! The sushi is presented very well and the drinks are great too. There's not a huge selection of sushi places around the Mission Bay area but this is my favorite place to go when I'm in the area and want some. Don't go here if you're a sushi snob! Very clean and modern.

We had an excellent time at this sushi restaurant. We dined early in the evening (young child....) and the service was friendly, helpful, and punctual. At least when we were there (5:30pm on a Friday evening) there were several families there an dot seems a family friendly place; by the time we were leaving the families had been replaced by a more typical SoMa crowd of 20-somethings. The food was very good, perhaps a touch on the pricey side, but given the quality and service I can't complain.

Some of the best sushi we have had in San Francisco. There rolls were amazing and the nigiri was fresh. The Papa San roll was probably our favorite, but the cherry trout was incredible. They also hand picked a sake flight for us, all 4 sakes were delicious. We will be back and would recommend this place to anyone!

Good quality sushi in a neighborhood that needs more restaurants serving good quality anything. Amazing bar and sake selection. I've never seen more varieties of gin, and I like gin. Some of the rolls are pretty creative, but the fish is good enough to stand on its own.

It's kinda weird how this place opens only at night, and is literally behind closed curtains, but overall the experience was great. The food was original, ginger beer is perfect, and reasonably priced for a sushi place. I'll be going back there for sure to try more dishes.

Tsunami its been the best sushi bar that I ve been in a long time. I was there and experience warm service and atmosphere, great food and I great feeling that make me want to comeback. From many things that I tried, The one that make the best dinner for me was "the scorpion" sushi. I know that who knows Japanese food that go there will not just reccomend but always comeback. Congrats for the Mission Bay with this new addition, places like this make that area one of the best in the city

It is a bit expensive. The interior environment is very clean and morden. Sushi was very nice and the service was attentive.

I live in the apartments next to this place, so I come here all the time. Delicious food and great cocktails. The manager, bartenders, and chefs are very cool. Some of my favorite sushi in SF.

We had dinner here before seeing Cirque du Soleil's LUZIA, and it was the perfect place to kick off the evening. We're vegetarian and don't drink, so we're pretty cheap customers, and sometimes sushi restaurants don't make us feel very welcome on that front. But the friendly wait staff at Tsunami made us feel completely at home and we had a lovely visit. The vegetarian sushi is interesting and delicious and the tempura shishito peppers were phenomenal!

Well appointed sushi place with a very good atmosphere, and excellent service. I didn't found their sushi very tasty or special but if you are seeking for a relaxing atmosphere with great service, this is a place to go to

Hands down the best sushi in town. Slightly pricey. Following dishes are highly recommended- 1. Sushi platter 2. Nigiri platter 3. Fried baby octopus

I like this place a lot, partially because it's never crowded and we always get great service. Roles are good for the price. They have a large sake collection although I have not tried any.

A spectacular if rather pricy omakase nigiri selection. The rolls are spicy, which I dislike, but the ambience is nice and the bar is a pleasant place to hang out

This is a nice place, the ambiance and decor is nice, the food is pretty good, there's nothing bad about this place - and yet it lacks the special thing that makes this place great. it's a bit pricy, but then again the location is stellar when you're waiting for your train, just came home after a long day of work, or having a pre-ballgame dinner. Just don't expect *to* much from the food, and this place is quite good

Great happy hour. Lots of sake choices. Not the most inventive sushi menu in town but still very decent.

Sushi was good! Service great! But very small portions for what you pay.
