Love it here, come by a least once a week while waiting for the 45 bus, perfect location for me. Good selection of pastry and breakfast foods and they're always fast. Small/medium seating area with tables inside and benches with small tables along the street outside. I'll choose it over starbucks down the road anytime.

Great little coffee shop. Has a wide have a wide variety of different coffees and flavors .if I do say so myself it's better than Starbucks. Even their pastries are fantastic . The staff are helpful and very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions you might have. and believe it or not it's even in a good price range.a must go if you're ever on Union Street.

The coffee was lovely but it's the cakes that stood out for me. Blueberry scone and cookie was delicious. It's also 5 minutes walk from the famous Mrs doubtfires house as well. Excellent place and definitely worthwhile visiting.

Their service was excellent, prices are a little higher than their competitors but they do have a wide variety of coffee. The pastries were very delicious expecially the lemon bar. And the cost of pastries were pretty reasonable

Nice place. Lots of regulars. Owner talks to everyone, nice guy. They roast their own beans and have a variety of baked goods.

I'm really just utterly flabbergasted by ANY negative ratings for this establishment. We go here weekly...it's always a joy. Croissants are INCREDIBLE. Cookies are INCREDIBLE. Coffee is wonderful. Staff are great. I'm actually giggling looking through some of these negative reviews. The warped sense of reality some of these folks have would be humorous if it werent potentially hurting an incredible local coffee shop.

Went in for the first time today. I asked for the largest Americano (my ultimate caffeine go to) and the owner was very nice. The place had quite a bit of people in there and price is reasonable for a 20 oz. Found it a little odd with the coffee sleeve, but other than that it was a pleasant experience.

Located under a beautiful, olive colored Victorian House that sprawls like an accordion; I like to imagine the owner of the cafe climbs down the stairs of the house to his work; my favorite areas to sit are the table outside ; and when you are done , wait on benches outside for bus 45 to give you a ride home to the top of Russian Hill . Almost like a ski lift. Interior has a cool roaster that looks like an installation work of art ; the two murals depicting coffee bean pickers are quite good; spacious interior to spread out; friendly no nonsense service; I liked the coffee and pastries.

This coffee shop has that old world charm which I like. The coffee is just $2.25, something not very common in SF. They have a wide selection of coffees, and it's pretty damn good.

This is my favorite place on Union Street to get an early-morning cup of coffee. Their baked goods are delicious, also, and, for vegans, they do have a variety of vegan baked goods. Their coffee is always fresh. Another thing I like is that, if you're only going to drink coffee on the premises and not take it out, you can get your coffee in a ceramic mug instead of a paper cup. The people that work there are very nice. There is a friendly crowd there in the mornings.

This is a relaxing spot for enjoying a weekend afternoon. I love their lattes, and their quiches and pastries are satisfying and light. This is a great place to work, to read, or for a quiet conversation with friends. The outside benches are a lovely spot to sit on a nice day!

This is my favorite neighborhood coffee shop. Awesome coffee at a good price, sweet people behind the counter, and the best scones I’ve ever had (get the olallieberry)! There’s also outdoor seating which is great for people watching.
