We were roaming around and they were open around 8:20pm so we got in to place our order before the kitchen closes. Food took time to come. Miso soup was a bit thick. Edamame beans were not good, which is a simple dish and usually hard to make wrong. We didn't like the chili garlic paste that they put on it. Rolls were good, and got us full. The best was the dessert. The presentation was beautiful and it tasted good. So all in all an okay experience. If we come here next time, we know what not to order.
My favorites are Roku Roll and Assorted Sashimi .
It is a cozy and nice sushi place in downtown willow Glen. I would say the best one in the neighborhood. The quality is good and the staff are friendly. It was almost full when we were there, and it was weekday night.
Busy location and friendly service. Food came out quickly and with good presentation. Tried the shark roll and salad roll; both were tasty and had a good amount of toppings. This place has a lot more options for vegans and vegatarians than other sushi places.

The nigiris and sashimi’s OMG!!! Are outstanding, they are super fresh and tasty!!! I personally tried also the Katsudon and was huge!! And is also one of the best ones that I ever had !
The food...fantastic! Freshens is written all over it!! Service was Great. The waiters and waitresses are non stop busy but still have a friendly smile. It was a wait but well worth it. I recommend it if you want to taste one of thee best teriyaki sauces, calamari and everything else we ordered. The place is small but cozy and there is still room to eat comfortable. The dishes, serving utensils, restrooms and overall restaurant was clean. We enjoyed it for a bday & small retirement dinner.
I think it has to be a top Japanese food favorite!
Favorite sushi place in Silicon Valley. Amazing food. Staff is super friendly. My favorite roll is the Russell Special. The tempera dishes are also really good. Sitting at the bar is fun because you can watch the chefs make sushi. I highly recommend this place!
Best sushi in town. There are tons of great rolls and combos to choose from. Staff is very friendly, and the vibe is really chill and relaxing. I never feel rushed when I eat here, even though it's usually pretty busy. Parking is a challenge, the garage around the corner can occasionally be full, and street parking in WG is always at a premium, so give your self time.
Great place and food is great. A lot of people eat sushi but miss the nuance behind it. The waitress-poured my first glass of sake. A sign if welcome and respect. The food was thoughtfully presented and freshly prepared.
Top ten for me.
Sushi here is of uppermiddle quality, but on the higher price range. Most of their good rolls are 12-17 dollars, and the typical ones are 5-7. The appetizers are moderately expensive, especially for how little of them they are. In addition, the rolls they serve jump in quality after 5, when they swap out their chefs from newer hires to the more experienced. Not open after before 5 except on weekends. Do not buy any appetizers or sides here, not worth it.
5 star hands down. The staff: Jose, Eunice, Midori, Winnie, Thu, and Grace are the greatest! The sushi is always fresh and super flavorful. You won't be disappointed! Just go try it!
Service: Friendly and prompt in terms of taking our orders.
Food: Took a long time to get our food after the order. Presentation was good. The specialty rolls were very heavy in terms of a lot of sauce being used. The taste was still fine, but firmer rice would have been more ideal. Vegetable croquettes are delicious. Tuna Tartare appetizer was good but paled in comparison to the croquettes.
Price: High for the quality offered. Speaking only from the point of view of the appetizers and the specialty rolls, didn't try their other food.
Love all the dishes here, never had something we didn’t like. The spam musubi is excellent and the katsu is great. Pricing is appropriate. We have had some issues with service, things like being served dishes without anything to eat them with and then staring at our food for five minutes while trying to catch the waitstaffs eye. One time we had a dish that the kitchen forgot about, but was given to us free of charge after it was served an hour later. This is how you keep customers happy - own up to any errors, and make amends. Looking forward to more visits here.
My go to sushi spot. Love you Yuki! All the staff is amazing and kind
Had an experience worth writing about. We got to the restaurant at 6pm. Very busy. We were seated and then forgotten for 15-20 min, with a screaming toddler that's an excruciating wait, and not a good business strategy. With the plethora of dining choices available, we view sushi as a special occasion, and we reserve it as such. We kindly decided to leave the restaurant, not making a scene at all. The manager Jose followed us out and asked us if he could make our experience a good one. He delivered on this promise. We ended up with a pleasant experience. He went over and above to win back our business, and provided excellent service. Food was fresh and delicious. We will return. Good business is owning you mistakes, providing an opportunity to make it right, and getting back to what you do well in the first place. Good job Jose.
Good neighborhood joint. Prices are average for type, portion size is above average.
good food and surprisely great pricing!
I've eaten at almost all of the Japanese restaurants in San Jose area and this place has great pricing and the food was fresh!
They even have a special "happy hour" on their rolls for 10%!
OMG sooo gooood!! Recommended by Jeremy, our neighbor, we just got 2 Hawaiian, 1 Red Roll, and a Spicy tuna all for $45. I mean, it must have been close to 5lbs of food and mostly fish/crab too!! Sooo fresh and soo good, we'll be back most certainly!
Big portions for every dish. Sashimi is very fresh. Lots of people. Staff are friendly.
