I am going to miss this little bar. My favorite little dive bar to meet up with the guys for a few cold ones. Stopping here during a sharks game is bananas. Try a day when the shark tank is not having an event. Smoker friendly covered back area. Plenty of parking across the street.

I was in town for a conference and found this hidden gem. My group was immediately welcomed in by Flora and the other patrons. Drinks were fantastic, they even helped us order a pizza at midnight! There was a pool table, and the bathroom was spectacularly clean. If I'm in town again, I'm definitely coming back!!

No fluff old school dive bar. Love it. They could use a few more chairs and tables. They have good prices as well. Not the bar to complain at... They'll would rather kick your fancy ass out then deal with a whiner.

On Sundays they have very authentic pozole. The best of the best. Besides the pozole, the rest seems to be a very standard bar with good beer selection and nice environment. The interior is very dim, if this does not suit you there is outdoors seating area where there is more light. It is sad this place will close soon. Go visit before they close.

Great bar to have a good time listening to music and drinking beer or something stronger !!! Usually it is quiet and uncrowded but on match days Sharks or concerts in the SAP many people arrive. I went to San Jose twice and both mandatorily had to go through there. From Costa Rica my greetings.

Great place for a 1-minute ice-cold beer before the train - don’t miss it! I think You can even take one to go. Update: yes, to go. Get it while you can, Google’s coming to town.

A nice cozy place, with a smoking+drinking area. The complimentary peanuts are a plus. Its a small and quiet place most of the times. Open till late night all week. Perfect for a quiet beer.

Oldest bar in downtown San Jose. Super chill bar. There is a patio you can drink and/or smoke on. There are plenty of regulars that go there, but not clickish, all very nice and friendly people. Very good after work scene and also a great place to go for drinks before a sharks game. Free wifi if you want to post up and do some work while you drink (which I've actually seen many do). The bar tenders are great, Kevin is hilarious, Eddie treats the bar as if it is his own and makes sure the place is running smooth, during the day is Charlene who is a total sweet heart, and on the weekends you'll find the owner, Kenny working. Every Sunday morning Kenny's wife is in making Pozole you can buy a bowl of for something like $5. Also every Friday afternoon they put out the big sandwich (a 6 foot sub) which is complimentary. One last thing - they sell beer to go! So if you're about to hop on Caltrain you can drop in and grab a few cold ones for your ride. So drop on in and say hi!

This place is simply amazing! If you are a smart ass then you will love it. Kevin is a man (owner) who knows what is real. Great prices and good company. Come correct or get out :)

Great atmosphere snd really convenient to Shark tank and Diridion station. Could do with some better local beer, but hey, it's a dive bar.

Patty's is an honest bar. Drinks are neither cheap nor expensive, but are straight up solid propositions. Barkeeps are professionals, TVs are tuned to relevant the games, and no hassles from the regulars.
