Bona Pizza does not disappoint. The pizza was delicious, with a crispy crust and just the right amount of toppings. I particularly liked the flavor of the tomato sauce, rich and tangy, without being too overpowering.
What really impressed me was the speed of service. My pizza was prepared in just 10 minutes, which is incredibly fast compared to some other pizza places I have visited. This made it an excellent option for a quick lunch or dinner when I was on the go.
The staff at Bona Pizza were also incredibly cordial and friendly, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
They served everything Halal like pizzas, calzones, bread, wings, salads and desserts as well. Can add two flavors in a pizza by half n half like i did. I ordered 10 pieces of wings(sweet n sour) and extra large pizza in Supreme and Hawaiian flavor. Pizza was good but i didn't like wings so much, these were average for me but my family liked it. Will try Chicken Bake'N calzone and dessert next time.
Pizza is extremely extremely delicious.
Was my first time trying it , now I'm hooked.
Will most definitely return again. Pizza was out quick.
Independently owned mom and pops shop
And was clean inside
Decided to try a new pizza place for dinner and it was really great!! They have a wide variety of items and they all looked tasty. A huge (and very delicious) calzones and my personal pepperoni pizza was the right amount of crust, cheese, sauce and pepperonis!! Will be definitely coming back for more.
This is a little hidden gem.
We had a traditional Calzone. It was one of the best i've ever had, and i've had quite a few of them We were treated very well. The weight staff is excelleit's hard to believe that this place doesn't pack most of the time. The food is a good price, and it's hard to believe that this establishment isn't packed most of tome be disappointed
Best quality pizza and great customers service. Keep it guys. Best pizza in the bay area. ( order the spicy chicken pizza )
On June 1, I was at Waterford Shopping Center to do some errands. I started feeling hungry and decided to try Bona Pizza since I wanted pizza and had never tried them before.
They have their menu posted on the window so that you can decide if you want to go inside or just keep walking, which I appreciated. Sometimes it's a bit awkward having to go inside where you're inevitably greeted and then, after saying, "I'm just looking," are watched while you stand there deciding--only to decide NOT to stay and order! This way, you don't clutter up their interior footprint (and it's a smaller establishment with only three or four tables, I think), and you don't have to feel as a goldfish in a bowl while you make up your mind.
I decided that I'd get a 12-slice pizza so that I could eat it over several days and not have to cook or go grocery shopping (AND burn gas!). So I walked inside and was instantly greeted by two young men standing up front. (I think they were doing something on the computer, trying to figure out a new program or something.) Anyhow, one of them asked what he could get me, and I ordered. He said it would be about fifteen minutes, so I walked to a table and sat.
Now, since I'd never had their pizza before, I decided to order a combination. Combination pizzas, for me, are good measuring sticks. If a pizzeria can do a good combo, then the rest of their pizzas are probably good, too.
The two young men upfront went into the kitchen to make my pizza. Another two men came out. I wasn't greeted by them, but they were on the phone, I'm guessing with some computer-tech help line because they were very definitely talking about some new program that wasn't working correctly. I only mention this because I think some people would get bristly because they weren’t greeted by the newcomers, but, well, I was editing my latest book on my phone, and they were obviously busy trying to figure out some wonky software (ugh! SO been THERE before!), it was no biggie to me!
Before I knew it (EXACTLY fifteen minutes later!), one of the first young guys brought the pizza right to my table and thanked me with a kind smile (the "thank you" was verbal and punctuated with the smile).
I got home, and the pizza was hot and WAY crammed with toppings. I took two pictures of it in the box (pretty much the same shot, but one is a little closer to show the toppings while the other is meant to show the size) before sampling. And, wow, was it good! Really. And it makes great leftovers, too. Seriously, here it is June 5, and I'm still having leftovers, and it's STILL good. (I just put some pieces in my air fryer and hit the Reheat button, which takes only five minutes. In five minutes, I have a couple slices that are just as good as the day I ordered them!)
So, yeah, I'm pleased with their Combination (I mean, LOOK at the SIZE of that meat and how packed the toppings are!), and I'll be going back to try some other menu items. They have more than just pizza, of course, including calzones and salads, and I look forward to trying something different next time.
Great job, Bona Pizza. And thanks for a great Combination pizza!
One of the best pizza ever had. Crust, cheese, toppings… it was delicious!
Best pizza I ever had. Halal meat, clean and neat service, definitely very professional.
Great pizza... the meat is not salty I love it well balanced not too heavy the think crust is great!!
It was the first time I ordered pizza here, and I didn’t expect too much . But it was very impressive! What a surprise! I ordered the #3 Combination one, and it was great! The olives were fresh and not salty at all (as other pizza makers). The meats and sausages were all very delicious. Everything seems to be well balanced and I’ll definitely order again. Worth a try if you haven’t already!
One of the best most nicest pizza spots to be at for sure I would say in Northern California area. Wow amazing thank you for sure I will be back.
I have been going to this place since I moved to San Jose almost 7 years now. I discovered the place after I started having acid reflux after eating at other pizza place. I tried Bona Pizza and Praise the Lord... haha! The pizza is the best and they get it right.. EVERY SINGLE TIME! The staff and owner(s) are always cool too. I've been to pizza places all over the world ..including in Italy. Bona Pizza is #1. If you're going to share get a very large size because you will want to eat a medium by yourself. I'm eating a half/half veggie pizza now. Go see them my friends!
Best cheese pizza normally places make ok cheese pizza but this place makes normally a bland cheese pizza from other place filled with flavor. All their other pizza options are great and especially their wings with sauce is sooo good.
Excellent pizza (lots of options) and fast times too! My family has been big fans for several years. They also offer salad and wings.
I love all of their pizzas!
Fresh ingredients and great tasting meat! This is a hidden gem! Try it next time you are in the area. This is our families new favorite pizza place !
