Tried the buffet for 12.99 today, must try their naan, so delicious. Compare to what I had in India, it's very similar but not as strong as there( ex: lamb curry) wish it can be more spicy and strong flavor, I'll put it to 5 star.

The food is tasty and they have a wide variety in their buffet as well. The ambience is not out of the box and staff was courteous. The serve buffet during lunch and dinner and their Tikka Masala is something to try for sure. Dahi Paapdi Chaat was yummy as well.

I've ordered samosa chat, plain paratha and paneer bhurji. Paneer bhurji was spicy and better than most of the places around. Samosa chat and paratha are just ok.

Walking in was great, it had this cool but modern feel. The food here was great with a large selection of Indian cuisine, I got the chicken tikka masala with rice and a drink, it was very tasty. I would eat here again.

The buffet option is your best bet to have a good time. Food is average, but I enjoyed everything. I don't know any of the names of the dishes so I can't describe what anything taste like. The only dish i know we're tandoori chicken and buttery chicken curry, which both were good. Both taste like what you get anywhere, but had consistency in distribution of flavor. The buffet option has a rule where you have to have three different dishes with the same portions, so you can't just pick one dish to eat. On the bright side each dish comes with naan. Over all this place is a nice lunch spot to hang out with friends.

Food is pretty good here. All you can eat buffet. Great place to go when you're hungry. Instant gratification. It's never crowded and always easy to get a seat. I'm not sure how they stay in business. Nothing fancy with the atmosphere. Small TVs are usually playing some kind of dance with music from India. Kind of cheesy.

Tiny family owned/ran buffet and menu restaurant. Authentic food. Smallish buffet. Very cozy. Everyone but my boyfriend and I appeared to be Indian which explains why it was so delicious! Family friendly and reasonable prices! Totally going back next time we are in San Jose. Highly recommended! 10 stars!

I got the lunch special to go and I felt like I got a great deal, 2 curries, rice, lentil soup, naan, rice pudding dessert and hot tea. The spices were mild, very delicious if you are looking for indian flavor with mild taste. I recommend it.

The buffet is amazing. They have all the types of food you could want. Also the server always made sure to keep the garlic naan coming. Excellent service. Love this place. Definitely coming back.

Our favorite Indian buffet is here. Lunch and dinner time, it gets busy but not much. My favorite is goat stew and garlic naan bread. But don't get me wrong, most of the time, I try them all. The naan bread is always freshly cooked. I learned to dip the naan bread to various Indian dish with my bare hand. Bring a hand sanitizer. You should also try the Indian tea. And before you go, try that mint seed and sugar rocks in the counter to freshen up your breath. Price is reasonable.

Naan is the show stealer!!!! Best naan among all the Indian places I have been to in the last 2 years in more than 5 states. Food is authentic Indian just the spices are a bit dialed down to cater for everyone. But that said it still is the most tasty ever

My husband and I just returned from having lunch at the New India Chaat Café located at 1645 Flickinger Avenue in San Jose which is on the corner of Hostetter and Flickinger. This was our first real experience eating Indian food although we did taste a couple samples of their food when they participated in the Taste of Berryessa and really liked the samples they provided. Not knowing anything about Indian food we decided to try their lunch buffet so we were able to try a variety of dishes. To our delight we loved everything we tried. I can’t tell you all the names of what we had but there was a large variety and we will definitely return. The restaurant was very clean and cozy and well organized. The service was fantastic and everyone was very polite and helpful from the time we were greeted at the door until the time we left the restaurant. They had music videos playing on their flat screen TVs which added to the ambiance. We don’t go out to eat that often but we will go back to New India Chaat Café! It was delicious. Frank and Charlene
