So good! Friends wanted sushi tonight. I’m not a huge sushi fan so we found this restaurant had a nice selection of options on the menu even for non sushi lovers so we thought it would be great. Worked out perfectly, I had the kuma ramen and I was delicious. It had ribs with miso ramen, you could also opt for spicy miso ramen. Which another friend had. The portion was quite large and definitely worth the $21 I paid. I can’t wait to come back it was so good. Service was nice and quick and they also had a Santa walking around the restaurant greeting tables 👍🏻

Vast food , good prices and everything tasted good. Restrooms were very cleaned even tough they have short staff. Waitress was super fast to servers and clear explaining some menu options

*Suspiciously scrumptious salad dressing* The ambience is not as nice as Furo Sato, but they are a good value and I've found their quality to be very consistent over the past 15 years. They are technically located in Westgate mall, though their entry/exit is on the outside. Mall traffic demographics mean you're more likely to encounter screaming kids here, compared to some other sushi places. It just comes with the territory. They often play some sort of 90's rock/alternative music; whether that's good or bad is up to you. They do have some nice spacious booths, which offer more privacy and a slight sound buffer. Great chicken teriyaki. Pretty good tempura (better than OMG Sushi and many other places in the same price point, not as good as Furo Sato or Kama Sushi). I actually find tempura to be a good way to quickly guage a Japanese restaurant, because of the attentiveness required and the drastic difference in texture that results from slight degrees of difference in panko preparation and frying. If you've ever made tempura at home, you know how temperamental it is. I also like their dragon roll. 🐉 They (usually) get the food out very quickly after you order. Fast service is generally a plus, though there have been times when they weren't very busy and were *so fast* that I didn't even have time to eat my salad before the bento arrived! The manager is nice. He doesn't dress up to distinguish himself from the servers, so as many times as I've seen him, I never even realized he was the manager until recently. Other servers can be hit or miss. This is going to sound strange, but one of the reasons this is my go-to sushi place is the 💣 SALAD DRESSING. I don't know what they put in it (Maybe crack? No, just kidding), but it's pink and slightly sweet and I love it. Out of every Japanese restaurant I've been to, I've never found one with a salad dressing I like better than Sushi Boat's. 💚🥗 The first few years they were in business, they used to serve all these little extras with bento boxes -- fried rice cakes and other little things I don't know the name of. 🍘🍙🍥😋 I wish I did because they were so good! I really wish they would start doing that again! Overall... This is my go-to Japanese food place (partly convenience), but they still have room for improvement. I'm between 4 and 5 stars. Sway me. 😉

A decent sushi place in the mall. You can order by the bar, where sushi rides boats in a carousel. Or you can order from the menu, where there are more varieties beyond sushi, such as teriyaki, ramen, and don. We ordered some basic sushi, a teriyaki, and a sashimi combo. The taste is not bad, price is reasonable, and portion is good.

The conveyor belt being boats is cute. The small play corner is great for toddlers. The variety on the belt could be a bit more impressive which makes it a 4 instead of a 5 for a fast-food sushi place.

Price is very good with huge amount especially the lunch bento. But they need to work on the freshness of sashimi.

Their menu has definitely changed over the years, not complaining lol just happy to see them grow. I've been coming here since they were at Oakridge mall and I followed them to Westgate mall. My daughter loves their sushi and their teriyaki chicken with rice. I personally love their new miso beef ramen, a little pricey but worth it, and their Westgate roll is a must try.

Same owners from Sushi 🍣 Boat⛵, but reinvented (as were many things) when a global pandemic presented itself. Dressing for their salads are made in house and can be purchased if you ask a server. My mother and I meet here monthly for dinner and the staff always take great care of us. Support your local businesses!!

I've been again once with a friend and once with my nephew and the service has gotten better. I do like sushi boat and the different sushi they serve. I bring my nephew who loves their California rolls with the crab salad on top. Normally the service is good even when it’s really busy. The last two times were disappointing because it was almost impossible to get someone to help us. I know things can go wrong and people have bad days. I was upset when we had been sitting there for about 5-10 minutes waiting at the sushi bar to get drinks. I had to go back to kitchen and ask for drinks. This was after the waiter came out to help someone else looked at my nephew and I then walked away without asking if we wanted drinks. I hope the service gets better because this is one of my favorite places to go for sushi.

Took my daughter here. She's 3 and while she likes all the ingredients of a vegetarian sushi roll, she won't actually eat sushi. But she loved the restaurant and the staff was very understanding of my picky toddler and our vegetarian diet. The food was great and I even managed to find something my daughter liked. They have a toy area set up as well for kids and its a very family friendly place. I was actually pretty impressed and a bit blown away to find a nice restaurant that is so welcoming of children. It's definitely a new favorite of ours and I plan to return often!

Generally, this is a good sushi restaurant for families, especially if you’re looking for quick service, decent food and fairly broad standard menu. We come here often, and have not been disappointed. There is a small play area for when the kids are finished early. My only (minor) complaint is that I drink hot tea, and usually only get a refill if I flag down the server to ask for them. Proviso: I can’t comment on the quality of the sushi/sashimi since I refuse to eat raw fish for health reasons. But visually it seems on par with other places, and no friends have complained.

I liked this place. Had several items including Philadelphia roll, Calif roll, spicy tuna roll and shrimp tempura roll plus some miso soup. All pretty tasty and very fresh. About 40 bucks including tip, including 1 LG beer. Service was good but a bit slow. I'll go again.

This is my go to sushi spot when I need a fix! When busy, the wait times are short and I've experienced good customer service for the most part. The sushi is average as is the selection, but still delicious none the less. What I really enjoy are their bento box lunches/dinners where you get generous portions at a great price. I'd like to see them offer more variety on their boats rather than a repeat of the same higher priced items.

I ordered a bento and there was so much food! I paid ~$13 and I had enough for two meals. It was a good sized portion of both my protein choices, rice, a salad, miso soup, and a couple of orange slices. Everything was so tasty as well! The calamari karaage was extremely crunchy, and the salmon was so soft. I will be back :)
