Indulged in a delightful culinary experience at stew stone. The food surpassed expectations, a harmonious blend of flavors that truly delighted the palate. While the atmosphere and service were standard, it was the exceptional cuisine that made the visit truly satisfying. A must-try for food enthusiasts! Very cure copper glasses

San Jose has a new best?!? Why didn't I know about this place sooner? This tiny place has a lot of persian soul to it. The menus have big beautiful images of Iran and the food. This is great for newcomers. I've eaten at some of the best persian restaurants in the world and I must say the zereskh polo (sweet rice) with chicken is the best here. The yogurt with cucumber (mast khair) is also the best. The bread they serve pre meal also outperforms local persian restaurants. Highly recommend.

This quaint place had delicious Persian Food. Their menu was very impressive. The only downside was that they only had one person waiting on the entire restaurant. And the server was also the greeter and cashier.

Craving for some authentic Persian food got us ordering a couple of items from Stone Stew and the food was finger licking good. Ordered Kashke bademjan which was very rich in ingredients and filling at the same time. The highlight of the order definitely was their speciality - Mashad stone stew. This came along with sides of torshi ( mixed pickle) , Shirazi salad and yogurt with shallots and this definitely was stewpidly good!! Just the prefect amount of cooking that went in to make the stew delicate and not crumbling. Every bite was heavenly. Would definitely make it a point to pay them a visit and try the other items ( read kebabs) on the menu hopefully soon

Loved the ambience, customer service was good. We ordered Kashke Bademjan, salmon with rice platter, koobideh, chicken thigh with rice platter. All were served with grilled tomatoes and jalapeños. The bread and Kashke Bademjan was the best, bread was warm toasty and flavorful. Koobideh was the best in the platters and the grilled jalapeño was a great addition. Food was fresh and yum. Salmon platter was the least favorite.

Good food. Not cheap, but reasonable. The chicken was very tasty and not overcooked. Lamb and beef were also excellent. Complimentary bread was super satisfying also. Recommend that beings from Earth and other nearby planets visit here.

Delicious Persian food. Authentic, fresh and just yummy! We loved the ground chicken and beef kebabs, the saffron rice, lavash bread, yogurts, onion, tomato and mint. And the woman who served us was wonderful. We didn’t know which yogurt to get so she brought us both. The decor is really nice and the copper cups great. I highly recommend this hidden gem!!

The food was delicious. It was my first time trying their chicken kebab and lamb shank. Will go back to try other items from the menu.

I was in the mood for Persian food and found this place in the most of restaurants I could walk to. The people are very courteous, food is fresh, very tasty and good quantity. Been back numerous times. Strongly recommend if you are in downtown San Jose.

The most authentic Persian food I've had in the states, and it's right down the street! Where other Persian restaurants often have big portions with even bigger price tags, Stone Stew manages to nail both serving size and price point. Service is relatively fast, and the bread is actually fresh barbari, not pita. Haven't had something here I didn't like, but I keep coming back for the dizi, ghormeh sabzi, and mirza ghasemi. The latter is a favorite of vegetarians I bring by, along with the gheymeh bademjan. Zende bad, Stone Stew 2!!
