Really great food. You can definitely tell everything is hand made. But staff have a hard time understanding English so they messed up my order. Thankfully an older lady worker was so sweet and checked on me. She fixed my order right away. And continued to check up on our table. That alone made the whole experience. When you order just make sure you ask for the salad on the side because they will put it on the hot plate which baffled me. But otherwise I recommend!

This place is a little hidden gem. What caught my attention to try it was their designated eating area: it invites/motivates you to be in that space enjoying your meal (or drink). I came here yesterday to have dinner and right away the friendly staff assigned us our table and mentioned the Saturday specialty: Birria de res (cow birria), and I was intrigued because it is a very typical dish in some areas of Mexico and not everyone knows how to do it, so for me, that was a good sign A tip when you want to try a Mexican Place (for a Mexican girl): First ask for the basics "Classic Margarita on the rocks, guacamole plate, and hot salsa" if these items are good/legit it is very likely that the food is going to be good. So first I asked for the classic Margarita & Strawberry Margarita with the avocado dip. Verdict: This place is LEGIT so, after that, my friend asked for the "Birria de res". And she just finished the whole plate (it is big) and asked for another order of homemade tortillas (she wasn't even hungry, that shows how good it was). If you are in the area, give this place a try, you will not regret it! Note: The place only open from Monday to Friday but they stared to open on Saturday at 4:30 pm

Very good fajitas. Lunch time was pretty busy but I was seated fast and the waitstaff was very attentive.

Indoor dining allowed again - nice! Great grub (as always), great drinks, nice and helpful staff, and very socially-distanced seating and small air cleaning machines inside. Very happy they're once again open indoors, outdoors as well (although no outdoor dining was open today, maybe too cold) - looking forward to going back again very soon.

This was a great find for lunch recently when I was in downtown San Jose. I walked in around 12 on a weekday and was able to get a seat immediately so not too busy for lunch. The lunch special came with some complimentary chips and salsa. The portions we're very good and even though the lunch plate didn't come with rice and beans it was still a very full lunch. Overall the value was excellent. I'm only deducting one star because my salad was on the same plate with the rest of my food and the dressing ran into the food. I'd go back any day.

Love the food and the service. I eat here at every opportunity. I have tried just about everything on the menu; their a hit and miss on their refried beans but for the most part the food is authentic and tasty! I also want to acknowledge their customer service; it is truly a blessing to be greeted with a genuine smile and above average customer service. Kudos to the owners for recognizing exceptional employees!

We live close by in Japantown. I think this place is the best taqueria in the area. Everything I have tried is delicious there. One of the best veggie burritos I've ever had. Best chicken enchilada I've ever ordered at a restaurant. Delicious quesadillas and my wife and kids love the food as well. Definitely would recommend. One of the underrated taquerias in San Jose, and definitely one of the best in the whole city. Thanks for all the good food!

Excellent food and service!!!!! I ordered the carnitas platter and the pork was soft and juicy with great taste and excellent combination of rice and beans with a small salad and avocado dip. The plate had a beautiful presentation. Try it, you will enjoy it.

Awesome service, quick server attention, beautiful outdoor ambiance, reasonable price, good portions of healthy food (lots of veggies added), moreover, great margaritas with HIGH alcohol content! WE LOVE CIELITO. I was looking to give another review but google does not allow me to. THANK YOU FOR THE GREATEST GIFT DURING COVID TIMES - MARGARITA WITH HIGH ALCOHOL .... :) :( :)

Excellent food and the staff was courteous and helpful. Our lunch order arrived so quickly that I was surprised. There is a full bar and my mother's margarita was fantastic. I recommend this place to anybody looking for an affordable Mexican food.

Excellent place for some homemade Mole, we had a great holiday party there and we will be back to celebrate again the service people were very attentive and worked with us on everything we asked for they were amazing. You could probably be freshened up with the little remodel maybe a Gordon Ramsay rescue but truth is we don't really care about the decor as long as the food is amazing!

Excellent food. Rice is not the best. Cadillac margarita so strong only had 2! Great place to bring family. Quiet environment. Slow service as there is only 1 waitress. Cadilkac Margarita, Chimichanga and fajitas combo are 5 star!

Good tasting food. Many Mexican food choices. I prefer their carnitas. A well stocked bar whith beer and spirits. Clean and servers were very attentive. Not so congested during the week. Parking is a challenge.

It's delicious but a tad bit steep price-wise. Parking is okay, the inside is a bit dark but that grants it vibe points. Worth a try, honestly.
