A Decent Choice for Pho and Vermicelli
House of Pho in South San Jose is a decent Vietnamese restaurant. One standout feature is the generous portion sizes of their dishes.
For example, in their Vermicelli, I was pleasantly surprised to find two full egg rolls included in the dish, which was a great addition. However, it might have been more practical if they were cut into smaller pieces, as is more common for this dish.
If you're exceptionally hungry and looking for a satisfying meal that offers great value for your money, this is a place to consider. Parking can be a bit of a challenge due to its location in a strip mall shared with Costco and Trader Joe's. But once you secure a spot, you'll be rewarded with both quality and quantity in your meal.
All in all, the prices are reasonable for the portion sizes, and the food is quite tasty.
Fast service. Clean interior.
I don't know what is good or bad about Pho but I did like the number 1 beef combo. The large bowl was a little too much for me. A small would have been enough.
Sorry I don't know enough to make a serious review.
The service was pretty fast, price is reasonable tasted ok, one of the best egg rolls. They were able to substitute pork with rolls. I ordered shrimp with egg rolls and vermicelli noodles.
7/4/2022. 10:45am not crowded. Too much milk in cafe su da. Nothing special about Bun bo hue. No blood cake in bun bo hue. Fast service.
This pho restaurant is comfortably decorated, good size. Ordered a large pho that came with lots of noodles, the soup base was very flavorful, a bit sweet and tasted light, liked it. The meats were okay. The pork and shrimps with vermicelli was pretty good too, reasonable amount of meat. Prices were reasonable, good CP!
Service is fast. I ordered pho and fried shrimp. It was ok. Drink is goood. Price reasonable
In A Nutshell:
-House of Pho in South San Jose is a pretty good Vietnamese restaurant.
-The one thing that really sticks out here is the LARGE portion of food that you get.
-If you are very hangry & want to get your money's worth of food, then you should come eat here.
-The parking might be semi-tough b/c it's in a strip mall that has a Costco & Trader Joes in it, but once you find a spot you will be rewarded w/ some quality & quantity of food.
Overall, the prices aren't too bad for what you get, the food is very tasty too.
Very popular pho restaurant located in a busy shopping center in Almaden Valley Plaza.
Great taste of original brew chicken broth. Love fresh spring roll.
Will visit again 🤗
Good food, but no Bahn Mi sandwiches. Google search said they have sandwiches. We reluctantly ate Soup and Bun bowl. Pork and shrimp in Bun bowl was charred, tasty. Nice decor. Efficient staff.
The pho is above average in bay area. The large size is really large. The quality and the quantity of broth, meat and noodles are all above average. Surprisingly the price is below average. Business is pretty good even when the store is ready to close.
I tried pho here long time ago, was not very impressive. And this time I had rice plate, the grilled shrimp and beef over rice - surprisingly good. It was tasty and it came with a side bowl of pho soup. Definitely recommend.
Great place to get Pho and BBQ chicken Vermicelli. My family surely enjoyed them. One of the best Vietnamese restaurants we visited so far (I probably visited 7 different Vietnamese restaurants in San Jose).
Best Pho Ever, me and my girlfriends go every Wednesday for the last 2 years!!! Spring rolls are to die for
Enjoyed the numerous, meaty pieces of seafood in the rice; capped off with crisp and refreshing veggies in the spring rolls.
