Great challenging course.....
We have been invited to the place by one of our past client and a good friend during our recent visit to the US, and we really enjoyed our time there. Situated on the hill in San Jose this place has something very soothing. Away from all the noise, traffic, hassle of the city you can enjoy good food, play golf or just stay, walk or enjoy the surroundings. The views are mesmerizing, so quiet and green all around. Worth a visit.
What an amazing track. Do not walk it. Must ride in a cart. There are some hikes in between holes. The course was in great shape. A high level handicap will have a lot of trouble. Bring a box of balls.
I'm so glad we held our 230+ guests graduation event at the Ranch Golf Club. Special thanks to Ruben, Amelia and Agnes, who without their hard work and assistance, this event would not have happened. We turned to the Golf Ranch Club after our initial venue cancelled on us. We had just a week and a half to find a new venue. When I reached out to Ruben, it just so happened that our date was available. Ruben was very accommodating and the entire staff worked hard to meet all of our requests. I was so incredibly pleased with the decor and service on the actual day of the event. My guests are still telling me what a fantastic venue it was and how much they enjoyed the food and the views. Special thanks to Andrew for his help with the speaker system.

Very nice staff Norma took care of me! My breakfast burrito was great the chef came out to make sure what I wanted, thank for the special treatment. Made me feel right at home.
This course is not for the faint or heart, (or a bad slice). Challenging tee shots, narrow elevated fairways and lots of hazards make this for a day of dropped shots and lost balls. But, it's still beautiful and usually not crowded.
Really liked this course. It is not a “pull out the driver and tee off” golf course. Placement and shot selection is important on this course. It may be my new local favorite as soon as the greens are back in shape.
I didn't go to the golf course, I just walked around the entrance and is beautiful up there. There is a nice view of the city, the breeze was great to escape the heat and enjoy a nice walk with a friend, partner, doggies, etc.
Too bad they closed it down. Was one of my favorite courses in the area. Tough, but fun. Rates were good. It didn't get much play because most golfers didn't like it much because it was too tough and lost too many balls. 😄
Best kept secret in San Jose! Beautiful golf course. Great views and awesome tee shots! I played the muni (big mistake!) and I will never play there again with this course 10 minutes further. The price is not bad ($80) for such a great course. Very well maintained and the people that work there are wonderful! I can't wait to play this course again!
Weddings at the ranch! Ive photographed a dozen+ weddings here and have to say I love this place for shooting. Their coordinators are always on point and the window view of the city never gets old. They treat their wedding vendors well. I will be back!

Hubsy took me and the children to a mother's day brunch buffet. I liked the shrimp cocktail, sushi and carving station. The oysters had sand in it and wasn't prepped well. Staff were friendly. We sat outside and enjoyed the view.
The course is insanely tough for amateurs, my friends lost a minimum of one ball per hole haha. The course was very beautiful but its strange how the course is well manicured but the bunkers have weeds growing in every one. If they took care of the bunkers it would make this course one of the nicest around.
Great View and Nice course. ^^
Prepare yourself for Fantastic view up top! Food is pretty good, too. I ordered the dungeoness crab salad and thought it tasted more like tuna salad. I didn't say anything because I've been having troubles, what with allergies and the smoke from the wildfires. To the waitress' credit, she asked if I had received the tuna salad and offered to give me the dungeoness crab salad free-of-charge, which I accepted.
The challenge of this course and the movement of the greens and the fairways along with the length of this course makes this a great course. It's fun to hit over the gorges and water. They've let it go a little bit since they had the problems last year, there is a lot of land to keep up.
